Interaction with my son was very helpful to his college search

Getting help with the essays and making it clear how to go forward with them, also the extracurricular sheet was helpful to put everything into one spot.

I did not like the college essay help. I felt like most of the feedback I got was for sentence structure and grammar, not building a story. I loved my general counselor, Don Keller. He was amazing at helping me with everything I needed.

HelloCollege provided outstanding support across the board, from our son’s primary counselor (Kim) to the essay support, SAT prep, financial aid guidance and more. The process was very hands-on and we truly believe the cost was not only worth it but more than paid for itself in the acceptances and scholarships that HelloCollege helped our son to achieve. Highly recommended!

Having a professional college counselor project manage the entire application process E2E allowed me to focus on being a mom and deepen my relationship with my soon-to-leave teenager, instead of constant nagging him about deadlines, essays, strategies, etc. I’m forever grateful for that. Additionally, the essay coach helped my son produce an incredible end product for all his essays that set my son apart from the competition, while somehow making writing enjoyable in a way that high school did not. We were very happy with the process as well as the end result.

Overall, HelloCollege was extremely useful when it came to figuring out which colleges I wanted to apply to. However, beyond that, it was not as helpful as I would have imagined when the time came to actually apply to schools. I often felt that my counselor was a bit lackadaisical towards my applications and essays, although I now think this may have been an outlier as she left HelloCollege in the middle of the application season. By contrast, the most helpful part of HelloCollege without a doubt was my essay coach who took the time to get to know me as an individual as well as a writer. She always gave me high quality feedback promptly, and I always felt like she was available if I needed any sort of help.

I liked how personal the zoom meeting where and how I got to actually ask all the questions I had opposed to a big zoom meeting with 50 people where not every question gets answered. I also appreciated all the resources HelloCollege gave because it gave me access to a lot of help that I would have never received otherwise.

Hello College provided my daughter with interview skills training, enabling her to secure a summer internship opportunity at a local high-tech company. This is an experience that has been helpful for her college applications. It guided my daughter to the gates of the university and helped her understand what she needs to do in the future.

HelloCollege helped me tremendously in my college application process. Before, I had no clue where to start but with the help of Raymond and Allison, I was able to navigate my college search with confidence. I learned about things I had never even heard of and felt more at ease during my search.

Using Hello College through the process of applying for college was extremely helpful for both my daughter and myself. She could not have gotten her 17 acceptances and over a million and a half dollars of scholarship money offers without the help of her Hello College counselor Raymond Gonzalez. He was there for her starting the summer before junior year, and is still there for her now. The monthly meetings, the essay coaching, the tutoring help, the FAFSA help, and everything else made this process so much better. My girl is headed to Drake University with a 47K scholarship! I can’t thank Raymond and everyone else at Hello College enough for their help and expertise. I’m extremely satisfied!

Allison was an awesome resource at Hello College! She helped our oldest child prepare sufficiently for the college application and admission process. It eliminated potential arguments and allowed us to be parents versus taskmasters. Alison also shared perspective in an area where she has expertise and we do not, which I didn’t appreciate it first. We will use them again for our second child.

They were knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely committed to supporting students throughout the process. 4.5 years ago my son started his college application process late and I needed help navigating through all the ins and outs. I’m happy to share that he was awarded a 4year full ride scholarship and just graduating on May 14th 2026 with a BS in Civil Engineering! We’re all so proud of him!

My family and I began working with HelloCollege in high school, leading up to my graduation in 2021. We really didn't know what to expect from college applications and admissions at that point, and the team at HelloCollege made it incredibly straightforward. They provided resources and guidance to narrow down a major and career path, helped compile a list of universities to tour and eventually apply to, and provided resources to help me write my admission essays and applications. All of their staff were extremely helpful, competent, and professional, and thanks to their help I graduated with my BSN from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN in 2025! I'm incredibly grateful for all of their work in aiding me to get into such an amazing university!

My daughter used HelloCollege for her college planning and application process and we were very happy. It was great having someone else pushing her to get essays done and making her keep to her timelines. They helped her reword the extracurriculars in a way that fully explained the impact within the small character limit. They also provide a nice tool to use to keep track of all the important things about different colleges you visit or are considering to help narrow down based on different criteria that may be important to you.
