Honest Review of SageMaster SFX
After months of testing, here’s the reality.
SageMaster looks strong on the surface.
The concept, stats, provider data, marketing and backtesting all look impressive.
But live results tell a very different story.
Once connected to a real broker, performance often does not match what’s shown. Trades marked as wins on the platform and provider can and often do result in losses on your actual account, and this happens repeatedly.
The explanation is always the same: slippage, spreads, execution timing, settings.
Those are real factors, but that’s exactly the problem.
In theory, it works.
In practice, it struggles, and often very badly.
A clear example:
Running the exact same preset over the same period:
* Backtest: around +10%
* Live account: around -7%
That’s not a small difference. That’s a completely different outcome.
To even get close to matching results, you would need:
* The exact same broker
* Identical spreads and fees
* Minimal slippage
* Near-perfect execution timing
That’s simply not realistic.
Because of this, consistency and dependability are very difficult to achieve.
Short-term profits can happen, but they’re hard to rely on long term, and often come down more to timing or sheer luck than a repeatable system.
Pricing is another major concern.
Users pay a high monthly fee, yet core performance does not improve. Instead, additional features are introduced behind extra costs. It feels more focused on upsells than on fixing the core issue: reliable execution.
On top of that, you would need a significant amount of capital just to try and cover the monthly cost especially when results don’t match what’s marketed.
So it's much like "a box of chocolates, you never know what you gonna get"
At its core, SageMaster appears stronger in presentation than in real-world performance.
Key issues:
* Results are not consistently reproducible
* Live performance does not match backtesting
* Responsibility is often shifted to the user or broker choice
If a user has to constantly manage spreads, slippage, execution timing, and continuously adjust settings just to try and stay profitable, then the platform is not simplifying trading.
After testing across multiple brokers and providers, the conclusion is simple:
SageMaster does not consistently perform as presented, and it does not reliably deliver what is marketed.
Which is disappointing, because the concept has real potential.
But in reality, there are too many uncontrollable variables, slippage, spreads, timing, volatility, execution, and technical factors, for results on the platform to consistently match what happens in a live broker account.
And that gap is where the whole model breaks down and makes it basically impossible for consistency and reliability.
**Update in response to SageMaster’s reply:**
I fully understand the difference between backtesting and live trading. Slippage, spreads, liquidity, and execution timing are real factors. That is not the issue.
The issue is how large the gap becomes in practice, and how misleading the platform results are because of it.
Using the exact same preset and parameters over the same six month period, SageMaster showed around +10% in backtesting, while my live broker account produced around -7%.
That is not a small variation. That is a completely different outcome.
So the key question remains: what exactly are users paying for if the results shown on the platform and the provider stats are not realistically reproducible in live trading?
Saying that market conditions vary does not solve that problem. It just shifts responsibility away from the product.
Also yes the platform continues to evolve and any additions always at additional costs, paying extra for things that might help the user actually try get something out of a product that is already far from what they expect and paid for.
My point is simple: if the difference between platform backtests and real broker execution is this large, then the results being presented are not a reliable reflection of what paying users are likely to experience.
That is why I stand by my review.

The difference between backtesting and live results is not unique to SageMaster — it’s a fundamental aspect of real market conditions. Backtests run on fixed historical data, while live trading depends on broker infrastructure, spreads, slippage, liquidity, and execution timing. These variables are not hidden, and results are not presented as guaranteed or identical.
Framing this as “it works in theory but not in practice” overlooks the fact that these same variables apply to every trading environment. Expecting identical outcomes across different brokers and conditions is not realistic.
On consistency:
SageMaster provides structured tools and strategy configurations, but it does not remove market dynamics or risk. Users who approach it with that understanding tend to focus on adapting to conditions rather than expecting fixed replication.
On pricing and development:
The platform continues to evolve, and additional features reflect ongoing development of the ecosystem. This is not a replacement for core functionality, but an expansion of it.
There is also a clear pattern in how these points are presented — particularly around “does not work,” “misleading,” and “not reproducible.” These statements simplify a more complex reality where external factors and user-controlled settings play a central role.
SageMaster is not designed to guarantee outcomes or eliminate variability. It’s designed to provide tools within real market conditions, which, by nature, are not uniform.

UPDATE DOPO 2 ANNI DI UTILIZZO
Dopo 2 anni di utilizzo della piattaforma devo ammettere di trovarmici parecchio bene, accedo tutti i giorni più volte al giorno per controllare come vanno le mie strategie e fare test in demo (tra l'altro molto utile), e la cosa che più mi colpisce è la quantità di sviluppo, studio, innovazione che costantemente riceve la piattaforma.
Personalmente preferisco la parte crypto (e più volte ho avuto riprova del buon funzionamento del software, per esempio durante il crash delle crypto di Ottobre 2025 non ha avuto problemi e mi ha aiutato a mediare delle posizioni), anche se sto apprezzando sempre di più anche tutta la parte forex e indici.
Non mi sento ancora di dare 5 stelle perchè, vedendo la prospettiva della piattaforma, penso che il margine di sviluppo sia veramente elevato, però super consigliata

Sagemaster è un ottimo strumento per chi si vuole buttare nel mondo degli investimenti nel breve e nel lungo periodo, rendendoti dinamiche spesso complesse più semplici da eseguire. Ovviamente serve la tua conoscenza di base in questo mondo non è una bacchetta magica. Adoro come il team sia in costante aggiornamento per migliorare il prodotto, 3 anni fa era molto più rudimentale e anche con molti bug o errori che son stati prontamente migliorati (grazie anche per la quantità di aggiornamenti gratuiti).

Scam og pyramidespill. Styr unna. Eneste måten å tjene penger på er å «verve» andre. Basicly du tjener 0, men taper alt du har brukt på det. Også når prisen er 10-25k så bør det være et red flag. Har ikke kjøpt det selv (jeg er ikke så dum), men kjenner noen som gjorde det.
