We reached out to Joe at Safari Consultants to help us plan our honeymoon for July 2025, and from our very first conversation, we knew we were in expert hands. Joe took the time to truly understand what we were looking for and thoughtfully recommended areas that would offer exceptional game viewing. He presented a range of camps, outlining the pros and cons of each location with honesty and insight, which made the decision-making process both informed and enjoyable.

We ultimately chose to explore the Masai Mara and Mara North Conservancy, staying at both Offbeat Ndoto and Offbeat Mara. Joe’s recommendations couldn’t have been more perfect. Both camps were outstanding, with warm, attentive staff, incredible food, and, most importantly, unforgettable wildlife encounters. It was everything we had hoped for and more, an extraordinary experience for a once-in-a-lifetime honeymoon.

On top of that, Joe coordinated every detail of our travel within Africa. He arranged all transfers, internal flights, and connections seamlessly and everything ran like clockwork. We were genuinely amazed that he managed to orchestrate such flawless logistics from the UK. It meant we could relax and enjoy every moment, knowing that all the details had been carefully thought through and taken care of.

Joe also guided us in planning the more relaxing leg of our journey. We had our hearts set on Zanzibar, and he encouraged us to spend time in Stone Town for an authentic cultural experience, which we absolutely loved. He recommended beautiful accommodations in both Stone Town and Paje, and we eventually settled on Kisiwa House and Kisiwa on the Beach - both of which were absolutely perfect and aligned exactly with what we had envisioned.

This entire holiday was nothing short of magical, an experience we will always remember. We honestly cannot thank Joe enough for his invaluable advice and thoughtful planning. He is a true asset to Safari Consultants, and his in-depth knowledge of both the Masai Mara and Zanzibar was second to none.

Frances was brilliant right from the start with my first call to Safari Consultants, she gave me lots of advice and suggestions and after looking at the various itineraries she had sent I made my decision on the itinerary that suited me best. As this was my first safari I was nervous about how it would go, I needn’t have worried from start to finish everything was great and ran very smoothly. A well organised itinerary, as regards flights, hotels, transport. Memorable as I lived in Tanzania as a child, was able to visit our old home in the small town of Tanga, our house now the URITHI museum, had an interesting talk with the well educated curator. We stayed at the Phyllen hotel, basic, clean, comfortable, good food.
Our other destinations: Dar es Salaam, good place to rest after the long flight; Zanzibar, lovely to visit, shop; Impala camp, Selous, very well run, we had an excellent guide, Elias, very knowledgable about the wildlife; Mafia island, Pole Pole hotel, well run, good food, good activities.

Working with Kelly was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. She took the time to truly listen to what we wanted—our pace, our interests, our preferred level of comfort—and she absolutely nailed it. Every single accommodation, experience, and destination felt tailored just for us. The itinerary flowed beautifully, and it was clear she had thought through all the little details that make a trip go from good to unforgettable.

We contacted safari consultants from a recommendation and we were not disappointed. Every single part of our trip had been thought about down to small details of packed lunches on travel days - it was amazing, it was lovely to have someone else organise our trip.

We had a wonderful experience and appreciate the attention to details. We saw loads of animals.

We found Safari Consultants very helpful and constructive in formulating the itinerary for our trip - providing plenty of advice about when to go / where to go and what to do. They were always responsive to any questions we raised and nothing was too much trouble. The resultant trip was spectacular - everything worked and the places they took us to more than met our expectations.

Good discussion with the consultant before they put the trip together coupled with the great arrangements when we were there. The camps used were all from the same group and communication between them and with the airline for the internal flights was very good too. The camps were in 3 different conservancies to maximise the chances of seeing the 'Big 5' which we did- plus a lot more. The guides at the camps were great too.

Mary at Safari Consultants planed the perfect first safari for us, well worth getting them involved if you plan on going on a Safari. Everything was coordinated perfectly and the places we visited exceeded all expectations. We didn't have to worry about anything. Even when one of the airports was rained out, the Safari Consultants team took care of everything for us - we hardly noticed.
We visited the Ngorongoro crater, the Western Serengeti and Masai Mara North - all three locations were spectacular! The game drives brought us so close to the animals we could have reached out and touched them! It's a humbling experience looking into the eyes of a lion close up!
In the Serengeti we stayed at the Laba Laba Migration Camp which was a magical place, offering a luxury stay while still letting us experience the wilderness of the Serengeti. The people, the food, the lodging was all unforgettable.

Had an amazing safari experience organised by Kelly. She listened to everything I wanted and I couldn't have hoped for a better trip to Kenya. As a solo female traveller, I was a tad nervous but everything went so smoothly and I felt safe the whole time. Transport and transfers were smooth. Accommodation was fantastic, food was divine and the hospitality at the two camps I went to was incredible. Any questions I had before the trip were promptly answered and I really like the app they use for keeping all your documents handy.
I wouldn't hesitate in using Safari Consultants again because they really do know how to organise a fantastic hassle-free safari experience.

Kelly made our first Safari trip a breeze- she did all the organising and went above and beyond to cater to our needs and budget. She set out all options for us really clearly, and was happy when we spoke about booking some elements eg flights by ourselves- I really appreciated the opportunity to be honest without it feeling awkward. Having coming back from Safari I can truly appreciate everything Kelly organised for us- after arriving on a long overnight plane, we were fast tracked through Nairobi airport, having help with all the systems and baggage. The transfer to the Safarilink plane was quick and efficient, great staff who communicated clearly with next steps- and even checked our luggage for us. The great experience continued all the way through to our Safari and thanks to Kelly listening to our needs and what we were looking for, Offbeat Mara was the perfect fit for our honeymoon and it felt so magical (go over to their Google reviews to see my review for offbeat specifically!). All the documents and guides Kelly and the team provided in advance made it really easy to know what to pack, what the rules were (eg for tipping or what we need to do for a visa) and it was so easily accessible on their website ctm system or via email. The safari camps were wonderful. Small, friendly, clean accommodations and staff attentive to every detail. The food was great, the guides expert and there was plentiful wildlife viewing. The coordination of travel between to and between the camps was seamless and something that would have been virtually impossible to plan on our own.
