I recently had my beagle spayed the operation went very well and she recovered extremely quickly.
I was anxious about having her sterilised
However the nurses and reception staff put me at ease and I had every faith Flo was in the best hands
Yes Rosemullion are expensive but all Vets are and just because they are run by a national company has not taken away that personnel touch .
I am reassured that they are just a few miles away from me and are open 24/7 .
In case of any emergencies.

Exorbitant pricing.
No compassion, terrible experience .
Would advise don't go there

Staff very nice and helpful but make no mistake this is now a huge money making operation, last bill almost 700 pounds for an ear infection. THEY DO NOT CARE about animals just profits.

I’ve had several poor experiences with Rosemullion (Helston and Falmouth) and no longer trust them with my pets.

Most recently, I took my cat in because I was worried about swelling on his head. I asked the vet more than once to check the exact area, but they didn’t, and I was charged £92 for some anti-inflammatories and told he was fine. An hour later, an abscess burst. It has since worsened, my complaint was ignored, and I have now moved to a different practice as this was the final straw. For comparison, a friend of mine paid £77 at another vet for a consultation and anti-inflammatories for a dog (larger animal, larger dose), which shows just how expensive Rosemullion is.

This wasn’t the first time an abscess had been dismissed. Back in 2020, my cat developed a severe one on the side of his head. I understand lockdown made things difficult, but Rosemullion repeatedly brushed off my concerns until I eventually had to take him into the emergency department in Falmouth. I was told that if I hadn’t brought him in when I did it could have led to sepsis, which makes it even worse that it was downplayed for so long.

In 2022, my cat was very unwell and not eating. Rosemullion said he was fine and gave him something to encourage eating. The next day he deteriorated badly and had to be admitted to their Falmouth hospital for several nights, costing nearly £1,000. At no point was I told what was wrong. Only this year, when I brought him in again, did I see on their screen that he had been treated for hepatitis back then. Despite asking repeatedly at the time, this was never disclosed, which I find completely unacceptable.

My family have also had issues with neutering procedures carried out here, which only adds to my lack of confidence.

Overall, Rosemullion are extremely expensive, dismissive of client concerns, and in my experience have terrible communication. I will not be returning, and I’d strongly advise other pet owners to think twice before trusting them with your animals.

I had been with Rosemullion vets for over twenty years. During that time, I have watched them evolve from a small caring vet to money grabbing, corporate, unfeeling liars. My dog became unwell and was given two rounds of bloods at £300 a pop and nothing showed up. Instead of thinking 'Hmm, maybe he needs antibiotics' He was admitted to their hospital in Falmouth. Now we know why they're so keen to push for all sorts of tests and unnecessary treatments, that's one expensive building. They wouldnt even begin to treat him until I'd paid £1,500!! They didnt even know what he needed at this point!! Again, he was subjected to all sorts of scans and tests and still nothing showed up. They insisted he had cushings even though he had zero evidence of this. After 3 days, they decided in their infinite wisdom to put him on antibiotics. Guess what? He picked up immediately. Funny that. He came home home with his ass looking like a baboon because they'd shoved a thermometer up there so many times and obviously hadn't used any gel and covered in his own crap. £2,200 on the worst treatment any of my animals have ever had. I'm now at vets for pets in PZ with all my animals and wish I'd moved sooner.
In short, Rosemullion do not care for your animals. They care about squeezing as much money out of you as they can. Terrible firm. Terrible staff. Terrible experiences.

My late father’s cat became unwell quite quickly and was initially treated at another vets locally to us in Penryn. Although treatment of our boy was good the reception staff couldn’t have been colder and less caring if they tried.
We had no option one evening but to use the out of hour vets at the Rosemullion practice and thanks to the reception staff and Louise, the on call vet and the duty vet Pru, the following day, our boys last few days were as peaceful, caring and as comfortable as they could have been. The time and care to discuss every avenue we could take was just what was needed. No rushing us on a most difficult decision. Every thought was for our boy and our feelings. We couldn’t have wished for a more attentive, caring, thoughtful and respectful service. Thank god we had our last few hours in such a caring, non rushed environment with people who actually cared for our pet. Thank you to all that took care of us. Not expensive at all considering the service and treatment we received. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts

My local vet referred me to Rosemullion vetinary hospital as my Great Dane required specialised treatment to her eyes ...I cannot fault them in any way.The care and treatment my dog received was exceptional..the staff are all very caring, kind, helpful and very knowledgeable.
Jenny..who operated on my dog did a truly amazing job..she is extremely professional..she has such a wonderful rapport with animals and because of her my dog has no more pain or irritation with her eyes...so I truly cannot thank her enough.
I highly recommend this hospital.. if you want 5 star treatment for your beloved pet then this is certainly the place to go!!

I took my dog Bonnie for a checkup costing £200 . It was a referral from Animal Hospital because she had a bad eye and they are specialist in this field. The consultation lasted all of 10 minutes when I was told to put her to sleep as she wouldnt survive the operation. She was 11years old at the time. I was absolutely devastated as I thought they were going to say they would remove the eye. It was over the Christmas period and they informed me that if her eye ruptured during the Christmas period I'd have to bring her into Rosemullian vets to put her to sleep as my vets would be closed over the Christmas period. It absolutely ruined my Christmas, I keeped looking at her thinking any minute your eye will rupture and I'm going to loss you. Well she survived and after Christmas I took her back to my vets and asked how much to take the eye out they quoted me £320 quite a bit less then Rosemullion at £1700. I said go ahead ,thinking if she dies on the operating table at least I've given her a chance. She survived and lived another 13 months after that . I wouldn't recommend them or go back there ever. They had no compassion what so ever as when I started to cry in the surgery because they told me to put her to sleep they said " sorry I've upset you" . What ever did they think ? I was expecting them to say the eye needs removing.

Had to take my cat in today as an emergency patient . The service and kindness we received was absolutely amazing . The vet was the most caring person ever and did everything to minimise distress to myself and my cat .
I cannot rate this practise highly enough . I was so impressed from the outset , everyone here is lovely and my cat and I would like to thank you for the kindness and care shown to us both

Excellent care after our dog was bitten by a Great Dane . All staff very caring . Kate a vet superb. Very understanding and took a lot of time with us. Very well qualified . In fact all vets were excellent day and night. He was in hospital 14 days and still receiving outpatient treatment. No more expensive that where we live in West Midlands. All vets are expensive now. Had regular updates day and night. Nurses and reception staff excellent . People in Falmouth and surrounding area are so lucky to have a facility like this. Open day and night. Highly recommend

Was told my dog needed dental treatment I had doubts as he was a small breed getting on in years, but was assured by the vets he would be fine. My dog died under anaesthetic no further contact from the vets I feel so guilty for agreeing to the treatment but you trust a vet. This business is all about the money not the welfare of the animals. Do not use this business it nothing but a cash cow

not good £140 for 10 min less charge me £64 for meds which cost £15 to £ 35 told them they overcharging me she agreed do not go to this vet they are a rip off my dog is still limping i will be ringing them to complain and get a refund they need to be reported i give them zero for high prices

My dog has been with them since a puppy, he is now 8 , ordered his tick and flea treatment on line, went to collect and they had also put in worming tablets, which I get cheaper else where. £75:00 for 3 tablets, they used to be £9:00 . Now we know how they pay for new buildings which over the last 8 years they have had over £15:000, yes thousand. Will be looking round for a less corporate structure, that loves animals more than money

Took our cat for her annual vaccination, we were told that she would need some dental work and it would cost £800. Had a phone call from the vet nurse pushing to book our cat in. I explained that I would be shopping around other vets. After trying to push the vet club I was informed that if I went elsewhere I would be banned from returning for 2 years! After being a satisfied customer for about 10 years I will not be returning 😾

Took our family dog there as she hadnt eaten in over a week and was in pain.
Spent over £1000 on every type of test including ultrasounds and x rays only to be told there was nothing they could find.
We bought the dog home and two days later she passed a 30cm long 2cm think rope of grass!
I had to wait 45 minutes to drop the dog off in the morning for the tests despite her being booked in.
We have now taken both our dogs away from this vets and moved to a small practice a few miles away.

I started using ROSEMULLION Vets, the Helston practise over two years ago, at that time I had four cats registered with them. In February/March 2023 I had to take my cat Monty to them, the visits left me questioning whether them making money from me was overriding their care on my pet…sadly Monty passed away a few weeks later and many hundreds of pounds later.
So fast forward to today, August 2023, and I suspected my cat Nelson requires some dental work…I made the decision NOT to go back to ROSEMULLION but transfer him to another local vets. I asked ROSEMULLION to transfer his medical notes to the new vet, which they did, however I was told by the new vet they couldn’t accept my pet as I was considered a bad debtor as ROSEMULLION told them I owed them £65 from March 2022 and they had sent out reminder letters which I had not responded to!!!. Long story short…I owed them nothing, I was fully paid up my account was zero….it was their mistake!! It was however extremely embarrassing for me…I went to see them about it, they admitted their error and apologised to me….I insisted that they call my new vets which they did….I’m now happily registered with a new vet. I have totally lost any confidence and credibility with ROSEMULLION Vets and would never use them again!

Money grabbing corporate scum that treat pets as a cash cow. Take your pet anywhere else where they actually care about the animals health.

My cat had to spend a night at the Rosemullion vet hospital Falmouth. I showed in my insurance info when I dropped off my cat, they took down the policy number.
I put in the claim and the insurance company haven’t had a reply. So I have chased up the vets and they won’t reply without the paperwork AGAIN ‘it’s our policy’… still not sorted
