I had dealings with James Long in the York office,

Not pleasant at all.
I applied for a PAYE job as a labourer.
I did eight hours work for them was happy and the client was happy, The client said he'd be keeping me for a minimum of seven to eight weeks, I was excited and motivated.
Then I got a random call from an umbrella company and got told they would be dealing with my wages and I'd be charged £21.50 to be paid via them.
James Long never mention this!, he never mentioned it in the job advert, in the telephone interview, in the messages he sent me or in the telephone calls when I got offered the position.
When I complained James Long said my other option was to be PAYE directly through them at £11.44phr, which wasn't what I agreed to or what was promised in the job advert.
I asked to speak to a manager, the next day I finally received a call from him, He explained they were not charging the client enough to enable them to pay me the advertised rate and that's why I had to go via an umbrella company.
That's not my problem, maybe you should advertise the proper rate!
This is a very suspect and fraudulent way of working, advertising jobs at one rate then paying another!
When asked about wages James long always referred to "the pay role department" never once mentioned it was a separate company that was going to charge me £21.50 a week just to get paid!
I feel mislead and cheated by this very unprofessional person who laughed and taunted me when I said I would take them to court for misrepresentation.
Its amazing how brave and rude someone gets when they are on the other end of a phone. You simply can not behave this way and still call yourself a professional.
I will never work again for this company and would recommend anyone taking a position make sure you get all the facts up front and that you're not about to get ripped off.
I have screen shots of the original advert, and all the what's app messages which show how unprofessional James Long became, in fact he turned into quite the keyboard warrior, unprofessional and brave at the other end of a text message.
I will be taking this company to court for the fees I had to pay and for the delay in receiving my wage, which wasn't paid on the agreed day.
Laugh at that James Long.
