I was searching for a peaceful place where I could immerse myself in the English language – not just through studying, but also by spending time with native speakers in a calm and inspiring environment. When I arrived, I was completely exhausted, but it only took a moment for me to feel reenergized.

I’m incredibly grateful for the time I’ve already spent at Riversdown and am happy to have another week ahead to continue improving my English – especially with David (deeply thankful for our walks and talks!), Fiona (thank you for our lessons with our feet in the pool!) and all the other wonderful teachers.

On top of that, I had the chance to learn about Cross Culture from Mr. Lewis, the founder of Riversdown, take golf lessons with the amazing John, enjoy delicious meals and share countless laughs. Riversdown offers the perfect balance of learning and relaxation, skill-building and self-care.

I honestly couldn’t imagine a better place. Thank you to everyone at Riversdown for creating such a unique and magical experience. A special thank you goes to Caroline, who made every wish come true.

Ich war auf der Suche nach einem Ort, an dem ich ganz in die englische Sprache eintauchen kann – nicht allein durch Sprachunterricht, sondern auch durch gemeinsame Zeit und Gespräche mit native speakers. Als ich ankam, war ich ziemlich ausgebrannt – aber nicht lange.

Ich blicke auf zwei unglaublich bereichernde Wochen in Riversdown zurück, und ich freue mich auf die noch bevorstehende Woche, in der ich mein Englisch weiter verbessern kann – besonders mit David (1000 Dank für unsere «Walks & Talks»!), Fiona (unsere Lektionen am Pool bleiben unvergessen) und all den anderen wunderbaren Lehrpersonen.

Darüber hinaus hatte ich die Gelegenheit, vom Gründer von Riversdown, Mr. Lewis, mehr über «Cross Culture» zu erfahren, Golfstunden bei John zu nehmen (dem wohl enthusiastischsten und geduldigsten Lehrer aller Zeiten), unfassbar gut und viel zu essen und noch mehr zu lachen. Riversdown ist der perfekte Mix aus Lernen und Entspannung, Weiterentwicklung und Zeit für sich selbst.

Ich kann mir ganz einfach nichts Besseres als Riversdown vorstellen. Danke an alle, die diesen einzigartigen und magischen Ort zu dem machen, was er ist. Ein besonderer Dank geht an Caroline, die jeden Wunsch Wirklichkeit werden lässt.

I had an outstanding week at Riversdown House focusing on developing my presentation skills and English communication abilities. The teaching team, led by Caroline, created an excellent learning environment that helped me gain confidence for my aspired goals.

Mr. Lewis's inspiring talk and the personalized attention given by my personal tutor Nigel to my pronunciation, business language, and presentation skills were exceptional. The tutors provided focused work on areas I needed most, including interactive skills and expressing future plans.

The hospitality was extraordinary throughout my stay. From the teaching staff to administration and accommodation teams, everyone supported my learning journey. The social aspects, including evenings at local pubs and British heritage visits, added to the authentic British experience!

I made encouraging progress toward my goals and genuinely enjoyed every aspect of the week. The materials and skills I gained will be invaluable for my community work. Highly recommended for anyone serious about improving their English in a supportive, professional environment.

英語力と国際力を身につけたい人にとっては最高の場所です。自然に囲まれたとても静かな環境で、密度の高いマンツーマンレッスンを毎日受けることが出来ます。生徒の要望に合わせてレッスンの内容も柔軟に変更してくれます。食事やソーシャルプラグラム(街へのお出かけやクイズ大会など)の時間は、他の生徒と会話を楽しむことが出来ます。生徒の国籍は本当に様々で、彼らと交流することで国際的な視野が広がると思います。また、学校にはテニスコートやゴルフコース、プールにサウナも併設されており、生活を充実させてくれます。英語学習とバケーションを組み合わせたような、素晴らしい日々を送ることが出来るので、本当におすすめです！！

This is the very best place to study English and develop your global mindset. You will take super-intensive individual lessons everyday in the British countryside, full of greenery and wild animals. Meals and social programmes are great times to enjoy talking with other students. This school has students from all over the world, so you will get to know different cultures. Also, there are tennis courts, a golf course, a pool, and a sauna, making your stay more fulfilling. This school is not only for learning English language skills but also for vacationing. Strongly recommended!!

Se desiderate imparare l’inglese in maniera professionale in pochissimo Rivers down è il posto ideale. Vieni immerso in un atmosfera idilliaca colma di ogni tipo di confort, mentale e fisico. Gli insegnati sono qualificatissimi tutto lo staff ti fa sentire a casa, ogni richiesta che tu possa fare verrà assecondata subito come se fossi in famiglia. Vivi in inglese dalla colazione fino a dopo cena, già dopo i primi giorni inizia a pensare non nella tua lingua madre in maniera spontanea. Io ho 18 anni ho alloggiato a rivers down per un mese in inverno, è stata la mia prima esperienza all’estero completamente da solo e non avrei potuto chiedere di meglio. CONSIGLIATISSIMO!!

Over the past 4 weeks, I have been able to meet many new and very positive people. This shared intercultural connection between us is truly unique. This will certainly characterise me forever. People from all over the world meet to learn a foreign language and become friends. A fascinating experience that I have only ever had in Riversdown. Thank you all for this wonderful time. This is the second time I have attended the Riversdown English course. Just like the first time, I have learned a lot of English. The teachers are very professionals and good at teaching. There is a calm and peaceful atmosphere in beautiful natural surroundings, which gives peace of mind to concentrate on learning English. All the employees are very nice and welcoming. I can really recommend the Riversdown English course and gives the place five stars.

Thank you Riversdown House for making my fourth training with you exceptional. This year my English was put to the test with dancing and learning about Scottish traditions as well as interesting conversations at lunch and dinner. Riversdown is a fantastic experience, a lot of fun and a challenging course! Everyone around Riversdown is so nice, their personalities and their passion make the students live a unique adventure!

The teachers are very professional, friendly and caring. Fiona and Dan were so dedicated and thoughtful and helped me to improve my spoken English.The Lewis family offer great hospitality and are dedicated to ensuring every student feels at home and welcome. The house is amazing amd beautiful. The excursions to Winchester, a local village and Jane Austen's House were well organised and David is a great guide and teacher. We had a special trip on the illuminated steam train with a delicious picnic provided by the chef, which made me feel like a child again. I recommend Riversdown amd this experience to anyone who wants to improve their English.

The facilities are state of the art, and you don't miss a thing; I felt like at home.
All the employees are highly qualified; their methodology is fascinating, rapidly adapting to each individual's abilities, which helps improve your English skills.
Outside-class activities, exponentially improve the experience, in terms of learning and socializing.
There is no doubt I will come back. My English still has a long way to go and there is no better place than Riversdown to achieve my goal.

A little bit more than a month since I left Riversdown and I I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible experience I had over there. The experience and classes were truly exceptional, and I still feel the wealth of knowledge and skills I gained during my time there.

From the first moment I stepped into Riversdown, I felt welcomed and supported by the team. Fraser, Phil, David and all the rest of your Teacher´s team members were not only highly qualified but also incredibly enthusiastic and dedicated to helping us improve our English skills. I would also like to thank Rodrigo and the administrative team as well as all the staff in charge of meals and cleaning.

I was particularly pleased with the school's commitment to creating a pleasant environment for learning. The facilities were nice, clean and well maintained, which contributed to the overall positive atmosphere. Personalized classes allowed individualized attention and interactive activities encouraged active participation and collaboration among students.

I would like to express my special thanks to Anna, my main teacher. Her patience, expertise, and ability to explain concepts in a clear and concise manner were truly remarkable. They made the learning process enjoyable and challenging at the same time, which kept me motivated and engaged throughout the course.

I am confident that the skills and confidence I gained during my time at Riversdown will have a lasting impact on my personal and professional life.
