Do Not Go Here
I went to R Hair and Beauty for a simple Up-style and makeup. I asked for a simple French twist and you'd swear the stylists had never done hair before. My hair was washed but they only shampooed and then blew it out with no product, leaving my hair dry and frizzy. Then spent the next three hours fumbling through pinning my hair up with the weakest, cheapest little pins I've ever seen. Not to mention all the pins were black and I have blonde hair. The stylist kept telling me to trust the process but it was a complete disaster. I had to have to quickly take the whole thing down, as it was ridiculously just piled on top of my head. Then he attempted to actually twist it up. It was literally falling out and he used so much hairspray in it that it made my hair look grey. I was in the chair so long that I actually started having a panic attack and had to have my husband come get me. My mother in law ended up redoing the entire thing for me in about ten minutes, as we had to rush to a wedding. I mentioned my makeup was also done. Not a horrible experience but I asked for a subtle look and you'd swear I was going to the club at the end of it. Not to mention that she made my eyebrows basically black when I'm a natural blonde. It was like Groucho Marx in drag. The inability of the stylists to understand English doesn't help at all.
My niece also went with me to get an Up-style and had an equally bad experience. Her hair was a disaster and had to be redone at home. The guy doing her hair clearly had no idea what he was doing and I wonder about what the credentials of the stylists actually are here. The salon also tried to over charge her for the style. She's just 15 and they were trying to get more money out of her.
I've never had such an awful experience somewhere. Genuinely shocking.
