Slechte informatie over ophaallocatie en naam van de firma

We huurder een auto bij Rentbycar Malaga Airport via het boekingsportaal Stressfree Carrental. Het ophalen van de auto was een ramp. We hebben bijna een uur moeten zoeken naar het pick up point en werden door de klantenservice nauwelijks verder geholpen. We hebben de routebeschrijving van stressfree carrental gevolgd en kwamen snel op het beschreven punt aan, maar daar bleek de auto niet afgeleverd te worden. We hebben toen overal gezocht en hebben verschillende mensen gevraagd naar de locatie van Rentbycar maar niemand leek het te weten en op het hele vliegveld was nergens een bordje van deze firma te vinden. Uiteindelijk na bijna een uur zoeken en vragen kwamen we in de kelder van de parkeergarage maar ook daar nergens een bordje van Rentbycar te vinden. Uiteindelijk ben ik bij Gobycar naar binnen gelopen om te vragen of zij wisten waar we moesten zijn . Eenmaal binnen stond er 1 bordje op de balie (het enige op het hele vliegveld) waarop Rentbycar stond. Het bleek dus dat deze firma bij Gobycar hoorde. Deze informatie is door stressfree carrental nergens doorgegeven en ook de medewerkers van Rentbycar aan de telefoon kwamen niet op het idee om ons dit te laten weten. De medewerker bij de balie was gelukkig erg vriendelijk en ook hij gaf aan dat er een probleem was met de bewegwijzering. Onbegrijpelijk dat zowel stressfree carrental als Rentbycar nog niet op het idee zijn gekomen om de informatie over de afhaallocatie en de naam van de firma aan te passen in hun beschrijving. De service aan de balie en de auto waren verder prima in orde en maakten weer wat goed.

Atención al cliente de pena. Fallo en el sistema de pago

Infelizmente tengo que dejar una mala valoración.
Estaba en el proceso de realizar una reserva con Rentbycar por un periodo de 15 días. He intentado varias veces realizar el pago a través de la página web, pero me he encontrado con la "mala" suerte de que el proceso de pago se interrumpe, aparentemente debido a un fallo del servidor de Rentbycar. He llamado al número de atención al cliente para explicar la situación y solicitando una solución alternativa para la que he dado 4 opciones (un método de pago alternativo a través de correo u otro sistema, realizar la reserva a través de una llamada telefónica, realizar el pago una vez vaya a la oficina a recoger el vehículo, otra opción que me puedan ofrecer). Con la sorpresa que lo único que me dicen es que no se puede hacer nada de eso, y que vuelva a intentarlo más tarde. Les digo que llevo dos días intentándolo y me vuelven a repetir lo mismo, que lo intente más tarde. Con mi sorpresa le digo a la persona de atención al cliente que parece que no están interesados en que realice la reserva con ellos y que no me están dando más opciones que irme a otra empresa y su respuesta fue, "bueno, vale". Es una pena que en el 2026 sigamos con tan mala atención al cliente. Pues mis cerca de mil euros se irán a otra empresa. Gracias

Dishonest and Untrustworthy Company!
As with other reviews, we were falsely accused of damaging the vehicle and charged for pre-existing damage.
The alleged damage is very small and in an obscure location. We were also charged multiple times for an additional driver.
The company has taken weeks to respond to emails, only responding when I disputed the charges with my credit card company. The photos of the alleged damage are poor and there are no quotes to support what they have charged, its just an arbitrary figure.
Buyer Beware - take detailed photos (including under the vehicle and the roof) and don't sign the condition report until you have inspected the vehicle.

Abzocke bei 2. Fahrer

Eigentlich waren wir zufrieden, bis darauf, dass wir beim 2. Fahrer abgezockt wurden - statt den über Check-24 angegebenen 90 Euro haben wir 156 Euro gezahlt. Und diese waren dann gar nicht für den 2. Fahrer sondern für eine extra Versicherung, die wir gar nicht brauchten. Das ist uns nicht gesagt worden, sonst hätte wir nicht gezahlt.

Servicio Lamentable!!

Reserva confirmada indicando mi No de vuelo y hora de llegada al aeropuerto de Bilbao. Se anuncia un frequente bus de cortesia cada 10min dela terninal a las oficinas de Rentbycar. 45 min de espera hasta que ha llegado el bus..3 llamadas al No de telefono de contacto pero imposible hablar con la oficina del aeropuerto de Bilbao donde solo hay un contestador automatico donde puedes dejar un mensaje sin que nadie te contacte. Finalmente hablo con una agente de la central de reservas q tiene la poca vergüenza de decirme q el bus de traslado es de cortesia y q si tras 45min esperando no quiero esperar mas...me vaya andando solito hasta su oficina!!
El traslado desde la terminal hasta su oficina es una cortesía que está incluida dentro del paquete que yo reservo... y ese paquete que ustedes anuncian y que yo compro ofrece un servicio gratuito sí pero cada 10 minutos...
Si ustedes indican que el servicio es cada 45 minutos ,una vez al día... o simplemente cuando ustedes les dé la gana... no me hubiera decantado por su oferta.
Sí compro su oferta es porque ustedes ofrecen un paquete con ese traslado incluido cada 10 minutos.
Cuando por fin ha llegado el conductor... me dice que no ha podido venir antes porque tienen muchas entradas y ha tenido que estar haciendo check-ins en la oficina.
Pues si tienen poco personal.... no acepten tantas reservas.... pero no se puede dejar tirada a la gente 45 minutos sin ningun tipo de aviso y sin opcion de poder contactar con su oficina.
Ustedes tienen la información de cuántas reservas tienen y de qué hora llegan sus clientes al aeropuerto..o sea que pésima planificación y pésimo servicio.
Y a la empleada que me dice que si no estoy de acuerdo con el servicio gratuito de transfer que me vaya andando a la oficina...un cursillo rapidito aunque,sea de lo mas basico de como atender a un cliente por fvr....
No volveré a usar sus servicios

SCAM claim tried to claim damages that didn't exist

SCAM claim tried to claim damages to vehicle: a) Without any proof and b) that did not exist (we had taken photos before and after).
We shared the before/after photos with the company, who have since gone AWOL and not replied to any communications. Have had to take this up with the credit card company to resolve sadly.
DO NOT hire a car from here unless you have several hundred pounds spare to pay for SCAM/FRAUDULENT damages claims.

UPDATE 02/09: After emailing their customer support team, they have replied with more detailed claims of the damages, but had clearly not inspected the before & after photos I sent them previously, showing that one scuff was present before the hire (and therefore wasn't caused by me), and the other mark they claimed did not exist at all (before or after).

Thankfully I had the good sense to take several before & after photos of the car as evidence.. but even with these, they are still trying to steal from and scam their customers. AVOID THIS COMPANY ENTIRELY!

These people are running a scam! When I returned my car, the woman checking me in immediately went for the front bumper and felt underneath, exclaiming that there were scratches and damages to the paint that no one can see. She mentioned several times that I didn’t have insurance for it or it wouldn’t matter and then tried to convince me it was fine because I could file to my credit card company. Nevertheless, they are clearly trying to squeeze money out of people. When asked if she had pictures of it before to show that it was not scratched, of course she had none and I had taken pictures around the whole car but never thought to take them underneath. I know better now! They know no one is documenting that and they have nothing to prove that you caused the damage but you can’t prove otherwise. $170 euros, more than the cost of the 2 day rental. Avoid these people at all costs costs. It will end up costing you more!

Se ponen tremendamente pesados con que cojas su seguro a todo riesgo, y realmente es lo mejor que puedes hacer porque si no lo haces, realizan un análisis del coche con lupa para cargarte cualquier cosa como un desperfecto. Es un comportamiento completamente abusivo. Tiene un punto de descaro diría yo. Una compañía a evitar.

Don’t trust the man with the blue spectacles. He is the criminal to charge me €125 for a tip on a valve not noticeable but he found. His answer: “don’t worry. You will get your money back from the insurance company.
I will strongle advise my contractor, sunny cars, not anymore cooperate with this company.

Beware

Yes, they are still at it (in Bilbao at least:

Provide you with a shiny car and then scam you when return - the bodywork scratch found (after circling the car three times for damage) was so small it could hardly be captured on a photograph.
And then - strangely enough - three separate emails requesting confirmation of the repair having been carried out still remain unanswered.

And I almost forgot:
No signage at the airport to tell you where or how to collect your car, and then a very long wait for the shuttle bus to arrive.

AVOID THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE RUNNING A MONEYMAKING "ACCUSE OF DAMAGE" SCAM AS NOTED BY SOME OF THEIR OTHER CUSTOMERS


On receiving the car their agent tried to make me pay double the trans border insurance until I presented my contract with Zestcarrental . Then immediately backtracked for half the amount. This already gave me an idea of how they operate I was given a chance to inspect the car and found to extra spots of damage which was reported and one of them photographed and added to the already noted damage report. The other spot of damage was deemed by their agent as insignificant and not added. This damage by the way was much smaller than the so called damage that I was supposed to have caused. Even if I had taken hours I and the agent would 99 out of a 100 times not have found the damage I was accused of.

The point is that we did not damage that wheel. They immediately deducted 100 Euro from my credit card. I returned that car in a spotless condition.

When I asked the agent who investigated our car to reverse the car to show that if the wheel was in a different position it was VERY possible for me and the agent to miss that very little scratch. We asked him to find the damage when the wheel was in a different position and he COULD NOT. He also agreed that it was possible to miss this but had to go ahead to charge us because that is their policy and he had to do his job. Just to add that it took him 20 minutes of scrutinizing to find this 5mm spot of roughness on the left front wheel rim.

I am definitely sure this is done to most of their customers. Some damage is always found on return of vehicles , they charge the customer without even a quote and never even have it repaired

In my opinion it is dishonest and unfairly making money off honest customers. Over 30 years of car rentals all over the world I have never encountered this type of operation

Muy mala experiencia

Muy mala experiencia, me mintieron ya el primer día, despues de avisarles por mensaje en el contestador y llamadas en las q nos aseguraban q no había problema con nuestra reserva por llegar más tarde debido a un retraso en el vuelo, al llegar nos dicen q tenemos q abonar 10 euros más por día, pq era un coche de mayor gama, pq nuestro coche se lo dieron a otras personas, y no tenían más similares al nuestro, cuando nos dan el coche, sin navegador, y nos dicen q nos arreglemos con el móvil, el depósito no estaba lleno, lastima de no acordarme de hacerle foto, pero si la hice al devolverlo.
Y después de todo ésto el último día les pedimos q después de todas estas molestias poder retrasar la entrega del coche para no estar tirados en el aeropuerto 4 horas, y su respuesta fue q ellos tenían q cubrir las reservas, les comenté q era lo mismo q nos había pasado al llegar y les dio igual. Así q si van a reservar con esta empresa mírenlo todo bien, yo lo volveré a revisar todo seguro , etc.

Excellent service and good prices

I recently rented a car at Bilbao Airport and had a very positive experience overall. While the company does have some room for improvement, the pros far outweighed the cons in my case.
Cons:
They were unresponsive to emails.😔
The website doesn’t allow you to manage your booking.🤨
There’s no phone number listed on the website for contacting their office.🥵
Pros:👍🏻
-The person at the reception was incredibly polite and helpful. When I asked about upgrading the car, the prices were very reasonable.
-They gave me a business card with their phone number, which made me feel much more confident about the service.
-The staff answered all my questions clearly and in both Spanish and English.
-The car was spotless and almost brand new.
-Their full coverage insurance was very affordable.
-The overall price was less than half of what other companies charged. (Big companies)
-The pickup office was conveniently located near the airport.
-Every small detail (like scratches and dents) was carefully noted when I picked up the car, even though I opted for full coverage, so it wasn’t a concern.
-Returning the car was quick and hassle-free—it took less than 2 minutes.
-The van to take me and my family was ready and took us to the airport straight away
-The pre-authorized money on my credit card was cancelled just 20 minutes after I dropped off the car, with no surprise charges.

I’m very pleased with the service and would absolutely recommend RentByCar to my friends. My advice? Save yourself a headache and go for the full coverage—it’s very affordable with this company and provides peace of mind.

Son unos ladrones

Abysmal experience upon returning the vehicle. 10 minutes late so charged for another full day's rental. In contrast to the collection, when they didn't want to help us verify the 20+ damaged items on the vehicle, the return inspection was microscopically surgical! They tried to blame us for 2 damaged hub caps until we showed them the video we took before leaving that proved the damage was pre-existing. Not so lucky with the windscreen, which we unfortunately only checked superficially when we collected the vehicle; the check in agent went straight to 3 tiny stone chips, which we are sure we didn't cause but of course without the evidence we can't prove - charged €662,67, luckily we have Zest Car Rental's top up insurance to cover it - I very much doubt they will repair it, and if they do it will be for nothing like what they have charged. Lesson learnt, one gets what one pays for, and the only way they can offer prices that undercut the market leaders like Sixt, Hertz, and Avis is to claw back costs by this unscrupulous way of operating - it is the cheap hire car business model!!
