These bins were just what I wanted and…
These bins were just what I wanted and my kitchen and utility room now look less cluttered. The choice of sizes helped as well. Waste is more organised and out of sight, until collection day. I gave it 4 stars because of the amount of plastic packaging that came with them, I realise they need protecting in the post , but there was a lot of airfilled wrap. I will however try to recycle some as plant protection in my garden. I also think that I can recycle it locally, to prevent it going to the tip and utimately land fill.

Firstly thank you very much for taking the time to write a review. I wanted to address the amount of packaging you have said was included. It is a good question and I am sure one other customers would potentially ask. This packaging is actually biodegradable air pockets and even the tape we use is a recycled paper tape. We are an ISO9001 and ISO14001 company and as part of the 14001 certification we have to show and minimise anything which could be considered harmful to the environment, packaging is obviously one of the biggest elements.
I hope that allays your fears somewhat, we would love to use less of the air pockets as the biodradeable ones we do use are expensive but DPD over the last few months have been breaking too many consignments so we have upped the packaging until the damages subside again. It is always a balance between breakages and packaging and to some degree which ever way you there is as many negatives as positives.

Hooded Bins
Enquired about the 100L hooded bin with plastic flaps, as we have a real problem at the school where I am a caretaker. Rodents are getting in and turfing out the rubbish leaving a real mess and I am looking for a solution to the problem.
