I want to warn everyone about…
I want to warn everyone about Recharge.city. Last year, they cold-called me out of nowhere and pressured me into investing as a franchisee for their phone-charging stations. They promised "passive income" and a full return on my investment in just a few months. To convince me, they showed me an app with thousands of stations across the U.S., especially in New York, and said they’d secure prime Manhattan locations for me.
I paid them $16,500 for equipment and location services, provided my ID, and signed contracts. Over a year later, I haven’t received a single penny. When I did my own research, I discovered the app’s map was completely fake – none of those stations actually exist. They lied to get my money.
I’m now fighting to get my money back through a chargeback, but this company is dishonest. They ignored all my calls and emails once they had my cash.
DO NOT TRUST THEM. Their business model is a sham, their app is fake, and they’ll disappear with your money. If they call you, hang up. Report them to the FTC and your bank immediately if you’ve been targeted.
Update: I’ve reported them to the FTC, my state attorney general, and the BBB. Stay far away!
This company scammed me out of $7000…
This company ripped me out of $7000 promising a steady income and ROI in a few months. I tried to contact them afterwards and even visited the address which is mentioned on their website, but it turned out that no such company exists there. Upon doing my own research, the company turned out to be a fassad which only exists on papers.

I'm wonder who is writing these…
I'm wonder who is writing these positive review for Recharge.city when they don't exist at all. My experience was a complete scam. They convinced me to invest $16,000 in their "franchise business," showing me a fake app with hundreds of charging stations across the U.S. Once they got my money, they disappeared.
The app was fake, the business was fake, and they’re a foreign-based scam operation. These glowing reviews are either fake or written by their own employees. Do not trust Recharge.city – they’re fraudsters. Save yourself the trouble and avoid them at all costs.

Best service
The best powerbank. Only $9 for monthly subscription and I can use them everyday. Love it
Help me to get my money back
Lost around $5000 which I invested in two charging machines. As they promised I'm supposed to make my return and profit by this time which I didn't get a dime on it. And nobody interested to use it says the power banks may take out their data. SCAM!!

This is a total scam
This is a total scam! These guys will keep calling you, telling you you’ll make great revenue and get your ROI in 3 to 4 months complete nonsense. You’ll get nothing! And when you don’t, they’ll blame it on the location where you installed your station. Then, they’ll try to sell you a location. Oh, and don’t fall for that so-called “Lazy Franchise” in NYC—the only lazy thing you’ll get is your ROI! 😄😄
Also, they’re not even in any state. They’re not even in the U.S.! Even the founder was just trying to be in the U.S. If you don’t believe me, ask them if you can visit their office. Spoiler alert: there is no office. And if they ever set up some fake one in NYC, just ask their neighbors when they actually moved in. You’ll get your answer real quick!
10/10 Recommend
This was very useful for my visit to New York! I have not used a service like this before and I was very pleased.
Happy with recharge.city in my 3 locations
We have 3 charging stations in our locations, first month was slow, but after that it started working good, I received my first payment after 3 months and I am quite happy with it
Had to cancel my credit card!!
Battery itself was OK, but they are unresponsive when trying to stop the subscription. What's App - Nope; Email - Nope!
Had to cancel my credit card

A Costly Scam – Stay Far Away
I regret investing $16,500 with Recharge.city. They called me in Oregon, promising a guaranteed ROI within months if I invested in their mobile charging station franchise. They claimed to be a successful city partner of New York with thousands of stations and even connected me with "franchisees" who shared glowing reviews.
Turns out, those franchisees were actually their own employees pretending to be successful investors. It was all a lie to gain my trust. After investing, I realized it was a scam—no ROI, no support, and no honesty.
I feel completely misled and want to warn others: Recharge.city is not trustworthy. Save yourself the trouble and avoid them at all costs.

A Tale of Deception & Financial Loss
I am writing this review to warn others about my harrowing experience with Recharge.city, a company that I now believe to be an elaborate scam. I invested $18,000 with them, lured by their promises of a fast return on investment (ROI) within just a few months. Unfortunately, what followed was a nightmare of deceit, false promises, and financial loss.
From the outset, Recharge.city presented itself as a legitimate business operating in the mobile phone charging industry. They claimed to have a vast network of charging kiosks across the United States, supported by a sleek app that displayed thousands of locations. However, upon closer inspection and after conducting my own research, I discovered that their operation is nothing more than a facade.
The Deceptive Practices of Recharge.city:
Fake Locations and Misrepresentation:
Recharge.city’s app shows thousands of charging kiosk locations, giving the impression of a thriving business. However, I found out that these locations are largely fabricated. In reality, they have only a handful of cheap, low-quality Chinese charging kiosks placed in a few locations in New York. These kiosks are managed by individuals who appear to be undocumented immigrants, further raising ethical and legal concerns.
The Owner’s Shady Background:
The owner of Recharge.city, Maxim Kamaldinov, is reportedly based in Russia. While the company claims to have a U.S. office, it seems to exist only on paper. This lack of transparency and physical presence in the U.S. is a major red flag. It appears that the entire operation is designed to give the illusion of legitimacy while funneling money from unsuspecting investors.
Pressure to Sign Documents:
After taking my money, Recharge.city pressured me to sign various documents under the guise of formalizing the investment. These documents were vague and written in a way that absolved them of any responsibility. Once the documents were signed, they became unresponsive, effectively disappearing with my hard-earned money.
No ROI, No Accountability:
Despite their promises of a fast ROI, I have not received a single penny in returns. Attempts to contact their support team have been futile, and it’s clear that their business model is designed to take money from investors without any intention of delivering on their promises.
In conclusion Recharge.city is a scam operation that preys on individuals looking to invest in the mobile phone charging industry. Their entire business is built on lies, fake locations, and unethical practices. I urge anyone considering investing with them to steer clear. Do not make the same mistake I did. Save yourself the financial and emotional distress by avoiding this fraudulent company at all costs.
If you have already invested with Recharge.city, I recommend seeking legal advice and reporting them to the appropriate authorities. Together, we can expose their deceit and prevent others from falling victim to their schemes.

Totally dishonest. A virtual scam scheme
Okay, so Recharge.City totally scammed me. I fell for their franchise pitch, thinking I’d make easy money on charging stations in NYC. Big mistake. They promised a guaranteed return – lesson learned, that’s always a lie. The address they gave? A complete fake!
Thankfully, I clawed back my $13,000 with a chargeback (what a headache!). But seriously, avoid Recharge.City like the plague. If someone promises guaranteed returns, run. Always double-check everything, and trust your gut – I wish I had.

They have no office in NY
They called, pretending to be a famous company, and tricked me into investing $9000 in their charging stations business. I searched for their address, listed as Westinghouse Building, 150 Broadway, and even visited the place, but found no such business as Recharge.citythere. Later, I discovered through an online forum that it was an offshore scam selling cheap Chinese charging stations for thousands of dollars, masquerading as a big New York company.
I've recently researched this company on TrustPilot
I've recently researched this company on TrustPilot after the damage was done, and I'm left deeply disappointed. I lost $19,500 paying them for charging stations and a location service in Manhattan, New York. Unfortunately, the stations did not generate any return.
Despite claiming to have a U.S. presence, it turns out they don't have an actual office here. Their payment systems are registered through a dubious Russian front man in New York.
They seemingly buy very cheap charging stations from China online and then make people to spend thousands of dollars on buying their franchise. However, the reality is that nobody in the U.S. seems to use these chargers.
What’s more puzzling are the positive comments on Trust.Pilot, most of which appear to have Russian surnames - this says a lot.
I strongly recommend that people exercise caution if they receive calls from individuals with foreign accents trying to persuade them to invest in the charging station franchise with Recharge.city.
I'm planning to apply for a chargeback to recover my funds. Additionally, never sign any documents or send your ID to them—they request this information to prevent chargebacks.
They seemed professional and reliable…
They seemed professional and reliable until they got my money. They disappeared after I paid them for the stations and location services, and when I contacted them two weeks later, they asked for more money to place the stations in "hot locations." It has been more than a year now, and I haven’t seen a single penny, contrary to their promise of a steady income. Absolutely stay away.
Scam Alert: Avoid Recharge.city (it's not Recharge.com)
I fell for the scam thinking it was Recharge.com. They exploit the similar name to deceive people. They called me, promising passive income, but provided fake details. When I asked to visit their New York office, they made excuses. Their listed address, 150 Broadway, lacks specific details like room or office number, proving they have no real office. I paid $18,000 for stations and location services but received nothing. They disappeared & then demanded more money to start generating income. Beware and think twice before giving them your hard-earned money or personal documents like ID etc.
Avoid at all cost
Don't spend your money as I did on this worthless investment. They said money will flow after the first month as it takes time. I waited 3 months and I'm sitting with this machine making nothing. The customers denied to use this charger even when I've provided free vouchers as they says this little thing might risk their phone data, And you expect someone will pay to use it.
Disappointed and I'm working with my bank to get my money back.
Horrible experience
Horrible experience
I invested $2300 USD, Adam was calling me and giving me a breakdown on how i would make money. I finally decided to make this investment in hopes to make money while on maternity leave.
In reality they preyed on a woman who just had a baby, knowing they had no good intentions.
They gave me a location that I paid $500 for them to find for me and I never got a customer.
I was told to give it 2 months, I reached back out in when 2 months were up and Adam no longer worked in that department.
I was told it if I would spend an additional 1k they would get me a better location!
And not to call back until i had the 1k.
Bottom line this was the worst investment i could have ever made! I wish i could get my money back
A complete Scammmm
I had a terrible experience with Recharge.city. They repeatedly called me, convincing me to invest $12,500 in their franchise for mobile phone charging stations, promising a quick ROI and passive income. It’s been a year and seven months, and I haven’t seen any income, let alone the promised ROI.
When I contacted them, they made excuses about the location not being good enough and convinced me to pay an additional $3,000 for better locations. After they got the money, they made me sign an agreement and provide documents like my ID and a receipt with my signature. I later realized this was to prevent a chargeback. When I tried to get my money back, they used these documents against me, and I lost the chargeback.
I’m shocked to see positive reviews from their COO Sergey Bolyubash here. It’s clear to me that these positive comments are fake. I strongly advise against doing business with these scammers
Misleading
Firstly, it's not at all like they claimed on calls or ad. No one like to pay to charge there phones here even with the voucher I offered. Secondly, I don't see any potential on this machine enough to make any dime at all right now. Disappointed
