With the Railboard iPhone or iPad app, you can save lots of money by finding super-cheap split train tickets. Plus, you have easy access to live train times powered by National Rail Enquiries.

With Split Tickets, our clever algorithms find combinations of tickets that together offer the same journey but at a lower price than a regular ticket.

This is done by splitting regular train tickets at calling points along the journey. So instead of one ticket from A to C, you have two tickets from A to B and B to C. However, you stay on the same train as normal. There is no requirement to alight and re-board. And we do all the hard work to find them for you!

Making a complicated journey in recent…

Making a complicated journey in recent bad weather, it was great to be able to check as I went along that I would make my connections, and adjust my route if I needed to.
I find the App straightforward to operate and I like being able to plan route and timings first then switch on the pricing and payment.

All you need in a rail app

Ad free; excellent UI; split ticketing; ability to pin journeys; seamless, no quibble refunds. All you need from a rail app. The train companies and National Rail should take notes.

Service Improvement Suggestions

Overall, the train carriage is bright and clean. However, the aisles are narrow and there is a lack of designated luggage storage space. As a result, luggage often has to be placed far away from its owner or near the train doors. When there is a large amount of luggage, this frequently obstructs passenger movement and access, which is far from ideal. It is suggested that dedicated luggage racks or storage areas be installed to allow luggage to be stored neatly without obstructing the passageways.

Secondly, regarding changes or delays to the train schedule, it is recommended that real-time notifications be provided via mobile phones. This would help passengers receive timely updates and adjust their travel arrangements more conveniently.

We've taken your feedback on board about getting real-time updates about your journey, and have added another vote for notifications about disruption and such like.

As for the sub-optimal luggage arrangements on the train, unfortunately, there is not much we can do about it. As we're a ticket retailer, we don't have any control over the train operating companies. But dedicated luggage racks is a good suggestion, and one many other train operating companies do install in their trains!

Great app that gives split prices and…

Great app that gives split prices and sells them for a small commission. It doesn't charge booking fee on other transactions. Searching for tickets and timetables is cleaner and more user friendly than other platforms.

We've added another vote for being able to choose different railcards for different passengers.

We do realise it's an annoying limitation of the the current system, and are working on getting it to where it should be!

Dependable Travel Planning

Railboard has been my go-to tool for checking train times, platform details, and delays. I also love how easily I can add trips directly to my calendar, making my travel planning seamless. While I once used Railboard exclusively for ticket purchases, I’ve since switched to another provider due to cashback offers. However, I still rely on Railboard for its reliability and accuracy.

What sets Railboard apart is its trustworthiness and dependability. Even though I’ve added another app into the mix, Railboard remains an essential part of my travel planning.

Everything was was so easy to use

Everything was was so easy to use. I made a mistake on first use of website and booked wrong time, was easily able to cancel it as was within an hour. On Trainline that would have been a nightmare to sort:))
