World class jacket repair

Booked my rab jacket in for a repair as my cat scratched a tiny rip in a front panel.

Booked a repair and sent it away.

Just got the jacket back today and it was repaired by Rachel. There was a note that she had done a full panel replacement as it looked better.

I dont know if Rachel will see this, or if Rab pass on comments. But if they do then please give a huge thanks to Rachel.

Marked one star down as communication could be better. Sent my jacket away and then didn't hear any update or if it had even been received. Had to ring in the end to check as it was an expensive coat.

Other than that a great service.

Mens Rab Torque trousers-poor waist adjustment

Liked the reputation and the fact that it is a British brand. However the amended waist adjustment on the Torque men's trousers is too flimsy and not fit for purpose. A simple belt and buckle mechanism would be much robust and straight forward. In every other respect the trousers are fine but I wouldn't advise purchasing this product because of this feature.

Rob service wash for a down jacket. Sent on Friday arrived at the service centre on the Monday. Received it back washed 3 days later. Amazing service.

Rab downpour jacket

I have bought many RAB items of clothing in past years never had a problem. Until
recently I bought a RAB downpour Jacket , wore it for the first time last week whilst in the Yorkshire Dales / Lake District and it did not live upto its name. Ended up getting wet , very disappointed ! Contacted customer services , contacted me straight away, full refund given. Great customer service from all concerned. Thank you

Amazing brand

I have several Rab pieces and many of them are my favorite in their respective categories. Overall, I am a very happy customer, and have yet to experience quality issues with any of the clothing or gear I have from Rab.

The service was beyond expectation.

I bought a great jacket from Rab in 2020, but then lost it on holiday earlier in the year. After some research, I could not find it anywhere, so contacted Rab on the off chance one was in stock and chatted online with Alex.

It is no longer in production, but I did find one with another retailer in April.

Two months later, Alex emails me to say one is in stock and he will reserve it for one week. I was so impressed and also fearful of losing it again that I bought a second one.

It is these little service efforts that make the difference.

Chaqueta de shofshell de hombre. Prestaciones y uso genial, pero ha perdido el color con el sol y el viento a trozos y está horrible. Está más oscura por la parte que tapa la mochila, la capucha... los brazos por arriba mucho más claros... un aspecto de muy vieja. Deberían cuidar más eso.

Warranty 'repair' an absolute joke.

£240 down jacket went flat as a pancake and totally unfit for purpose after three years of moderate (i.e. not daily) wear during cold seasons (so, 6 months of each year as in the UK) and after following all care & maintenance instructions/washing with Nikwax down wash & reproof once per season as recommended. Contacted Rab to make a claim under their lifetime warranty. Offered a professional wash service free of charge to 'restore loft' and thus make jacket useful (i.e, warm!) again. However! Received it back today, still flat as a pancake but now smells utterly disgusting and is covered in watermarks and stains that most certainly were not there when it was sent off. Now pursuing a full refund under Consumer Protection legislation. Not good enough, I won't be buying another overpriced, poor quality product from this company ever again. And if anyone is tempted to pay for their so-called 'professional' wash services, think carefully unless you want it back dirtier and smellier than it ever was when you wore and washed it yourself.

All round excellent service :)

I had a down coat that I bought from the factory shop nr Alfreton in 2020 and was heavily used round town, it was losing lift and waterproofing when I ripped it on a bramble :( So I sent it back for repair and cleaning. They send you a return label (that I immediately lost only to find three days later - but they sent me a replacement online immediately) and, as I wasn’t in a rush, it’s come back three weeks later. They’ve even replaced the zip tags. It’s fab, looks great and repels the sprinkle of water I’ve tested it with. Thank you.

Avoid buying rab jackets

Avoid buying rab jackets, they are a terrible terrible quality. The feathers come out of them straight away, they ignore your emails. I boughtbit from mountain outfitters and the manager Ross mcnair has the worse atitude on behalf of rab. He said the jacketvwhich has loads of feathers all over my car seat and sweaters after 1 usage are NORMAL, and he is the worse manager you can deal with, rab them selves reply after a while and don't want to know. AVOID RAB COATS THEY ARE OVER PRICED and rubbish compared to other makes j

I returned my down jacket to Rab for the washing service. On the website they said it might be 3 weeks before it was returned. I asked if it was possible to have it back within the 3 weeks, but was amazed to have it back within 4 days. Thank you Rab…great service.

Erfahrung Rab Kinetic Alpine 2.0 Regenjacke

Ich habe mittlerweile 2x eine Bewertung zu einer Rab Kinetic Alpine 2.0 Regenjacke auf der offiziellen Rab Webseite abgegeben, weil ich sehr enttäuscht über die Qualität war.

2x wurde die Bewertung beantwortet - aber anschließend gelöscht. In den Bewertungen bleibt anscheinend nur für die Öffentlichkeit sichtbar, was mindestens 4 oder 5 Sterne bekommt.

Ich habe mir 2022 eine Rab Kinetic Alpine 2.0 Regenjacke gekauft, die beworben wird mit "strapazierfähig 4/5". Also nach meinem Verständnis schon robust!!!

Bereits nach gut 1 Jahr hatte ich, in der nicht mal ansatzweise täglich benutzten Jacke, ein deutlich sichtbares Loch auf Taschenhöhe im weicheren Material. Es kann ausschließlich vom Schlüssel kommen, an dem keinerlei scharfen (außer Schlüssel) Dinge hängen. Weitere kleine Löchlein sind bereits erkennbar.
Die Jacke wurde echt nicht überstrapaziert oder übertrieben oft getragen!!

Rab hat mir einen Hinweis zum Reparaturservice geschrieben.... ein Loch-Patch kostet "nur" 30,-
Bei einer Jacke die über 300,- kostet, DARF es nach so kurzer Zeit keine Repatur geben!!!!

Leider weiß ich nicht mehr bei welchem Onlineshop ich die Jacke gekauft habe, daher hab ich leider keine Rechnung mehr!

Der Schnitt der Jacke ist an sich echt gut. Aber die Qualität ist nicht im geringsten so strapazierfähig wie beworben, das ist schwach. Gerade das um die Taschen verwendete weichere Material ist alles andere als strapazierfähig. Es zeichnen sich bereits weitere Abnutzungsstellen ab.

Ich würde die Rab Kinetic Alpine 2.0 Regenjacke keineswegs weiter empfehlen.

Fotos über die Webseite an den Service wurden bereits hochgeladen, daher weiß ich, dass eine Reparatur zwar mögich ist, aber nicht kostenfrei - und noch dazu bleibt das Loch weiterhin sichtbar. Meine Bewertung kam erst aufgrund der enttäuschenden Erfahrung über den Service ;-)
Und ja... Schlüssel können möglicherweise Löcher machen, aber nicht nach so geringer Benutzung und so kurzer Zeit wenn die Jacke mit sehr robust beworben wird - dann ist sie leicht fehlkonzipiert, wenn ausgerechnet das Material an den Taschen so zügig nachgibt

I have had my Rab Jacket for years and…

I have had my Rab Jacket for years and I needed a new Orange Zip so my first thought was to contact Rab Direct so Paid for post and repair.It came back as New so happy as these are the BEST jackets to have.Big Thanks to DEBBIE the machinist who did a super Job Highly recommended and Thank You.

Great that you can get these proucts repaired for further use.

Rab Downpour jacket in Pertex Sheild+

Rab Downpour jacket in Pertex Sheild+. It's a couple of years old now and it's been OK until last wash. I washed it as per the instructions at 30C with Nikwax Tech Wash, then Nikwax TX, then hung it to dry indoors (no tumble drier). It came out all pitted and crinkly, like a melted plastic bag. It looks terrible and doesn't work properly either as rain water gathers in the crinkles.
I contacted their customer support who basically just pretend not to understand what I'm writing. I hadn't even asked for a fix or refund or anything, I just thought they might be curious as to why their product is failing so spectacularly. But not, they're not.

Bought a Rab valliance for just under £300, for that price I expected more than a years use, the main zip has broken, the Velcro on the cuffs no longer hold and the coat certainly isn’t waterproof.
