Spoke to one of the delightful gentlemen that works for this firm last December. It was an interesting conversation to say the least. When I asked if we had spoken previously about a development in Liverpool he responded with "no that was probably some other company thats no longer trading". When I called him out for speaking negatively about a competitor (a very quick way to lose credibility) he got rather upset. In the end his faux posh accent dissapeared and his real voice turned up. I believe he swore at me but it was a while ago so I cannot remember. Entertaining call but absolutely not a firm I would deploy capital with.

Following Quaneqo’s response, I decided to do some digging of my own. After all, leaving a negative review for the wrong company would be a bit awkward — and I do try to avoid awkward when I can.

Turns out, I got the date wrong — my apologies. The call actually took place on November 27th at 17:58, from 0208 126 3631. After cross-referencing this number with emails I’ve received from your company, I was able to confirm exactly who the rep was and their role within your firm.

Which makes your response — claiming to have “no information” on me whatsoever — all the more surprising. You have my name, email, and phone number. Surely a basic CRM search should have brought that up?

I’d also assume that a company handling investor capital would record calls as standard. With the details I’ve now provided, locating the recording shouldn’t be too difficult. Might be worth a listen — could be a helpful case study in how not to speak to potential clients.

If you’re genuinely unable to find either the call or my details, then that’s… concerning. Because if managing a simple phone conversation is this much trouble, it does raise the question: how are you managing the funds?
