Pyjama Drama was established in 2005 in the UK, and since then, has enjoyed international success. We teach anyone working with children aged 6months to 11 years how to use our drama and play techniques to develop life skills and meet UK curriculum objectives.
What are life skills? Problem solving, critical thinking, communication, decision-making, creative thinking, interpersonal skills, self-awareness, empathy, coping with stress, dealing with emotions.

We offer a range of solutions for your CPD needs: Online pre-recorded courses, online ‘live’ training, and in-person courses for teams in your setting or at your conference – many of which are award-winning, and all of which regularly receive 5* reviews!
All of our courses and training come with associated resources which mean you will be able to deliver Pyjama Drama activities to the children in your care with skill and confidence. We have trained professionals at all stages of their career – from students at the very start of their journey in education, through to teachers who have been in the industry for decades.
We know practitioners and teachers can sometimes be put off by the idea of “doing drama” because they feel self-conscious. We never make anyone do anything in our training sessions that make them feel embarrassed. Our courses and resources have been developed with the non-drama specialist in mind. We are confident that even if you are naturally reserved, or hated drama at school, you will be able to use our techniques and approaches with confidence and skill. What’s more, practitioners tell us that once they start working in this way, and see the incredible benefits to children, they don’t ever want to stop!

Established in 2005, Pyjama Drama is a drama and imaginative play programme for babies, toddlers, and children up to seven years old taught in nurseries, schools, in 'public' sessions, and at birthday parties by our incredible team of franchisees and teachers.
Since 2009, we have been supporting individuals who want to run their own children’s activity business by training them how to run a Pyjama Drama business. We have trained franchisees from all over the world, from all walks of life, and with varying formal drama and teaching experience. Fantastic classes

Best thing about lockdown!!!
My little boy did Pyjama Drama at his nursery and really enjoyed it. During coronavirus lockdown we did online classes with Southampton based group run by the fantastic Kirsty. Aside from learning to ride a bike, Pyjama Drama has been the best thing about lockdown. We both love the classes and it has sparked the imagination of my 3 year old boy. He has had so many imaginary friends since starting and his role play/ story telling has developed massively. Couldn’t recommend highly enough!

Kirsty is brilliant
Kirsty is brilliant. My little one loves pyjama drama and it is so lovely watching her get engulfed in the wonderful world of make believe which pyjama drama provides for her. It's like a guide tour of her imagination, together with input from her friends. How Kirsty manages to maintain that level of enthusiasm, read and respond to online comments and keep the twists and turns of the story going all at the same time I will never know.

Brightens our mornings
Ally has been great doing the online classes, really brightened the mornings with fun and imagination during the coronavirus pandemic. My daughter loves the pyjama drama songs and activities.

Creative story construction during lockdown
Pyjama drama’s new online presence has been a lifesaver during lockdown! Firstly my 4 year old enjoyed the non interactive live shows. Both my children (eldest 6) have progressed on to the interactive thrice weekly sessions. Eldest looks forward to it and it’s so good for me to realise that this area of their arts needs can be met during lockdown. Indeed I wonder i they’re having more creative arts input now than at school!

This is my second Pyjama Drama class
This is my second Pyjama Drama class, and I can't wait to start to use these new strategies (and frog character) with my students--online and, one day, in real life. I love this focus on the social/emotional, so vital in our world today. I feel so very happy when I teach using your strategies and techniques, and your classes make me feel even more confident, excited and motivated. My students have loved every song that I have used (from the Secret class), all the movement activities, rhymes, and the strategies really do work! I love it!!! Thank you for everything, Sarah. Hope to take another class one day, and I recommend PD all the time!

Our son loves taking part in Pyjama Drama. It’s an excellent way for him to really let his imagination come to light. Having viewed a session with Helen it was lovely to see him get so involved with answering questions and sharing his own ideas. It’s been a great class for him!
