Very knowledgeable instructors, great facilities and general vibe.

This was my second 5 day course at Plas Y Brenin and yet again another awesome week. The advanced scrambling course delivered so many skills and ticked all the boxes of what I wanted to learn and experience. Alex and Pete were excellent, they explained things clearly, they were full of knowledge about the skills and the area and really approachable. I felt safe at all times and they helped me build the confidence to feel safe in my own skills. The centre is spot on and set up for everything you need. Clean rooms, great food, good bar and a friendly atmosphere. Already booked my next stay.

Brilliant 2 weeks with PyB - Scottish Advanced Winter Mountaineering followed by Scottish Classic Winter Climbs. Highlights were Curved Ridge on Buachaille Etive Mor and Tower Ridge on Ben Nevis - but there were lots of great days in between.

Excellent instructors and leaders. Courses are exceptionally well curated. Accommodation and food are great. Highly recommended - all levels of ability are catered for.

Amazing location with great views from the restaurant/bar. Storied history and really friendly staff. The instructors were great, very personable, experienced, and knowledgeable. The winter skills course was as hoped and the instructors found a great spot for snow skills given the conditions. The stores were very well stocked (like a sweet shop for gear lovers) and the free drying rooms and laundry a welcome addition given the conditions. Accommodation was clean and tidy (if a little creaky, but forgivable in such an old building). Food was good and varied and the bar well stocked. Got lucky on timing and my stay coincided with an excellent BMC lecture which was a nice bonus. Will definitely be going back for future courses

Great experience from professionals

Wonderful instruction. I loved the variety of rock. The people I was with, the facilities. It was beyond what I was expecting. I had prevously been looking at courses in Chamonix, but the dates didn't align, I am so pleased because PYB was fantastic.

Fabulous staff and instructors

I came away excited to do more whitewater and put skills into practise. excellent coaching and knowledge from Chris Forest. Expertly managed a range of learning styles and experience within the group and felt very relaxed. Location could not be better. Cake and tea at the end of the day an absolute winner.

Katie our instructor was excellent on this guided day on a paddle-board SUP teaching techniques and then planning around tides and winds to make our safe journey down the Menai straits snd confidentially standing up.

Just cant rate Plas y Brenin highly enough. I know that there are many excellent independent guides/instructors out there, but with Plas y Brenin you know that you'll get the very best in the business. The residential courses are very good value for money when you factor in what you get with the full board accommodation, and great opportunity to socialise with your course delegates. My experience on the Introduction to Climbing course was that it was engaging/well tailored to provide the right ballance of fun, challenge and development potential. Came away having progressed way further than I thought was possible.

Plas y Brenin is absolutely inspiring - the staff are knowledgeable, experienced, supporting and encouraging. I honestly believe that you would be hard-pushed to get any better outdoor activity training. I was on the Indoor to Outdoor Climbing course and in a 5 day period I learnt so much and achieved so much. It was totally life enhancing and uplifting and has inspired me to take my climbing to the next level, so to speak. Absolutely brilliant experience. Two days after the course ended I still buzzing!

I attended the Mountain Bike Improvers Summer Camp. Fantastic Instructors and brilliant trails, I learnt lots and had a great time!
