Sitting here with my gf she Never signed up just realized being charged a monthly fee, disputed the charge through the credit card company. Temporary refund until ccc investigation.

Same thing happened to me. They give me a basic property report for $1.95 as they advertised, then suddenly they are charging me $34.95 monthly which I DIDN'T SIGN UP FOR!!!! When I try to get in contact by their phone # it is some other company.

Site uses bait-and-switch tactics. Initial search shows that a wealth of information is available. After paying for what appeared to be a one-time report charge, I was sent to a page that said no information was available. Checking my email, I realized that I had been signed up for automatic renewal at $35 per month after 7 days.

"Propertychecker.com" did lure me with low-cost (e.g., $1.95) property reports, only to trap me in hidden, expensive monthly subscriptions (e.g., $34.95/month). This site failed to disclose the auto-renewal, resulting in unauthorized bank charges. Small initial fees for a report lead to automatic, recurring monthly charges that are difficult to cancel. The site claimed to offer one-time reports but hid subscription terms in the fine print.
Everybody affected by this company - please go to FTC site and report them - otherwise they will continue doing this to other people.

This is why we need to read reviews BEFORE we make the purchase….Yet another case of ordering one report on a property for $1.95 and next thing you know your card is being hit for 34.95 per month until you figure out what’s going on. Thankfully I received a suspicious purchase alert on my card and could reject the purchase. This site is definitely a scam.

Absolute criminals. I made the initial search on mobile their site was glitching prompted me to pay US$1.95 multiple times and they made a bogus auto-renew trial that they did not clearly describe at the time of payment or access and did not sent me a notice of charge or invoice that they will charge my card, very underhanded criminal behaviour form this website.

I've been charged $34.95 a month for the last 7 months without my knowledge!! I never received any notification that from
the company that I was being charged this amount and never received a single statement or email from them. This is a total scam company!

Like the other review say, I took it a step further though. I called the one 800 number after I got billed $34.95. I did my original search for $1.95. They also claim they sent me two emails telling me I would be billed $34.95 per month. I do not delete emails. I never received any emails from these people. I called their 800 number and they read to me the emails that they claim they sent. They are not Better Business Bureau approved. I suggest calling the Attorney General and filing a complaint through them. This company will scam you out of money.

This trial period was not at all obvious until an email went that I didn't flag until afterwards. Then tell you it's a full subscription for $34.95/ month. Unless you want to pay $34.95per month don't fall for this!

I looked all over the site for what happens after the $1.95 unlimited searches for 7 days. They do no tell you it is a trial period.. I checked online for subscription fees and there is nothing. I knew there has to be some kind of reoccurring free after the $1.95 initial fee because that's how these websites work. I read their entire agreement and there is no fees listed. I clicked on payment option. Oh There it is, after your credit card information all the way at the bottom. $34.94 monthly free charged in advance no refunds. This company doesn't show it's fees and state it is a subscription until after you choose the payment option you want on the $1.95 seven day property lookup. Very deceitful. Shame on you Property Checker.com. I recommend people find a reputable business that is transparent with their fees out in the open for you to see. And clear statements on weather you are paying for a one time fee for a subscription before a payment link is checked. I do not recommend this website to anyone. they make their money on the new clicks and i doubt they are getting repeat customers. they make their money from the unaware and prey on the one time clicker and the repeat charge until the customer becomes aware of the non refundable charge after it is charged.

I almost bought into this until I read the reviews and I'm so glad I checked Trustpilot first.

Signed up for a basic search then the cost started adding up after i paid. i used paypal and started seeing charges for membership which i canceled but they said i did not. have PayPal checking into it. also talked to their rep who canceled but said nothing else.

Absolute scam, classic bait and switch they show you they have reports at first and after you buy a membership, they show no records whatsoever.

This place is a scam, they don't tell you its a subscription. See other comments. Do not use them

Scam. They give you a trial but don't tell you that you're signed up for a membership. It's not until you noticed it on your bill a charge of $34. It's disgusting so many companies get away with this kind of robbery.

I canceled, but they still charged me. Please do not use them. They will rip you off and lie about it!

They say nothing about the trial until you get the email confirmation and then charge you again in a week.

So basically the scamm is simple , they say $1.95 for a search and then they charge you 34.95 .

Not recommended, they have your credit card info and will make charge $39.95 later
