Horrible company
Horrible company. The people that work there don't care to waste your time and are inept and then say the the video is choppy or something else and it wastes my time. They also take private information probably and sell it. WGU made a really bad decision to go with them for taking tests. The are pains in the necks and will make your life more stressful. A cheap service isn't always the best thing as that also reflects poorly at WGU for bad investment procedures. Outsourcing only helps the CEOs out, not others within the company and the students. Hire a test taking service in the US where it actually respects people wanting to further their careers!

I had a frustrating experience with ProctorU during my recent midterm. Despite preparing well in advance, I faced both technical difficulties and personal discomfort throughout the session. The setup felt overly strict and added unnecessary pressure, which affected my ability to focus. I appreciate the idea of remote proctoring, but the process needs improvement—especially when it comes to flexibility and supporting students under stress. I hope ProctorU works on making their system more student-friendly and responsive

Proctor u is the worst company to ever ever use for taking any exam! They should have Serveral law suits! People go to school to put up with this mess! I’ve been trying to take my exam for 5 days now! Proctor u doesn’t even allow you to take the exam after they have you do all this bull mess! Then lie and say your computer not working. How isn’t it working when I did everything you told me to do! All the way up to the exam part now all of a sudden can’t issue the exam! This must be a scam I also blame aceable agent for using this mess! Aceable and proctor u you guys see these reviews! Y’all ought to be a shame of y’all self’s! Playing with people education emotions and money! I’m reporting y’all to the better business people! Y’all need to be ripped from y’all licenses! This is unbelievable!!!! Probably the worst decision to take an exam on. Completely over complicated. Wasted my money trying to retake the exam and nothing works. It's too complicated just to take a simple exam. The worst mistake a college could make.
WASTE OF TIME
This was honestly a waste of time. Testing time was today at 1:40pm. I was transferred to multiple proctors and multiple support agents. I did every step up until literally just taking the exam, and the proctor left the chat after I did every step he told me to do (show four corners, out away sell phone, etc). The proctor after that tried to tell me my video wasn’t working even though it was. A bunch of nonsense. I called the support and they said that my proctor suggested I reschedule, which was a lie because didn’t… they just left. I asked for a refund. Very very angry and upset. Going into a test completely prepared just to not be able to take the test. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.
Worst platform for examination
It was a total waste of time.Had to chat with multiple agents as the agents were getting disconnected repetitively by themselves, my internet connection was stable and working perfectly fine. One of the agents said I need to have an external camera despite having built-in camera on my laptop. The agent didn't proceed my exam because of that lame requirement of having an external camera. My built in camera was working fine & showing everything clear & also there was no mention about having a mandatory external camera on ProctorU guideline. I mailed my instituition about it & they said me to sit for exam again but I didn't want the exam to be rescheduled. I tried again & again to reconnect & everytime it was a lenghty process. There was nothing suspicious during the scanning & still the agents just made it time consuming. At last one of the agents permitted me to start my exam but it was too late & my exam period was ended by that time & I could not get the question paper to start my exam. I just had to miss my exam because of their shitty service & had to waste hours for that. I'm feeling mentally sick & destroyed now.

IF YOU ARE A SCHOOL ADMIN WANTING TO USE THIS, please don’t. This is by far the worst proctoring service. I spent two hours trying to get on to my exam. I had proctors just disconnect. My computer worked worse after their IT was in it. Please for the sanity of your students find a different service
Absolutely horrendous
Absolutely horrendous. Brought me to tears and I was unable to sit the exam. 3 different technical assistance team members and I think 4 different proctors, over 2 hours trying to connect only to be told I need (1) a new computer, (2) a different WiFi provider or to change the settings of a WiFi I do not own and do not have the login details for, (3) remove all firewalls (which I did, but did not want to do). All of this after doing the checks in advance and watching the video, days in advance in fact. I was crying on camera being told I was a security threat and could I delete the threat, tried calling the helpline too and they hung up on me when I asked if there was any place I could submit feedback. I've sat multiple exams online through ULaw in the same room, same computer with none of these issues with a different proctor system. I now have to travel to Bristol in person in 2 months to attend to avoid this company, so glad I spent all weekend revising for this. DO NOT USE.

Do not take a test with this company. They are a scam. They said I was looking off my screen when I wasn’t, terminated my exam over an hour in when I wasn’t cheating or breaking any rules, and are absolutely refusing to give me a refund. Do not use this company.

Shockingly bad software for exams
Shockingly bad software for exams. During my 2-hour exam the software and my computer crashed four times, meaning I had to go through all the checks again each time for invigilation. I wasn't given extra time and it took 55 minutes to actually get the tech working via support and then another at least 20-25 minutes wasted on crashes, rechecks and restarts. I passed the exam but it was stressful and will never use this software again. I recommend doing exams in person than using this.
Absolutely terrible company
Absolutely terrible company. Invasive is not a strong enough word. Scanned the room multiple of times and all their pre checks. Halfway through the exam I get someone saying I have breached a rule (I think she said I moved away or something). She says this is your final warning. I told her I did not, not sure what you are seeing would you like me to scan the room again - she says nothing. Did not respond to me when I asked to clarify what supposed rule I had broken. At the bottom of the screen in the chat box I can see invigilator had changed a few times. I am getting close to finishing my exam, checking all my answers only for another person to say your eyes are moving, you must keep your eyes on the screen at all times. I say “I am thinking my eyes are going to move.” They asks if I can show them where my phone is, which I do (on the other side of the room on the couch). About hit finish only for a message to say you have breached rules and your exam has been voided.
Huge effort studying for an exam, anxious only for this to happen. I am not one to play the race card but they were off with me from the start. Asked me to scan room a number of times. Short with me and not responsive when I asked questions. It is like they came with this pre notion I look the type to cheat. My question to them is how would I have cheated if my phone is not near me? No one else in the room and I don’t know the questions that are going to be asked???
If you are a company considering Proctoru avoid at all cost. Incompetence beyond belief!!!!
Software never works properly
Software never works properly. Proctors take minutes between messages, and often drop off. Full half hour each time of "support" before I'm even able to begin the prechecks. Have to do this multiple times for my school, and I'm navigated to "support" all except one time due to their functionality issues.
They are absolute TRASH!
They are absolute TRASH!! Proctors not answering questions in the chat and it took me over an hour to get signed into the test due to them. Avoid these clowns if you can. They wouldn’t even allow me to take the survey.
Not worth the stress to use
I would recommend using an in person exam proctor if your able to instead of this company. I had done the system pre checks the day before and before the proctor even was to begin and all was working 100%. I was writing my Caib 3 exam which I had been studying and was very prepared for, I also must say I do have some test anxiety but thats often normal and I passed my Caib 2 exam with flying colors (using an in person proctor, and not one issue)
My first proctor was to put it mildly an idiot, first she can't see my photo ID yet I can't tell what she's seeing and she is slow to type in chat letting me know what she requires, then she takes control of my computer which is fine I gave permission and turns off half of the operating network for the company I work for, which causes me to lose my camera and slow my connection. None of the network icons she muddled with had anything to do with the test or any way to cheat btw...so it's now 30 mins past when I was to begin and my anxiety started to skyrocket as I want to start my exam now not hours from now. I almost walked out I was so frustrated. She then says your camera isn't working and your system is too slow, I replied it worked just fine during the tests I ran and she basically transferred me to their tech department. I told the technician that the proctor was closing system settings and he got it up and running in a matter of moments (the only good thing that happened)
Get a new proctor and have to go through the whole room scan and show ID again but this proctor isn't an idiot and I get to my exam.
The problem was by this time I'm so stressed about the mess of a process that I did everything to prepare for that I'm bordering on a panic attack and can barely focus so not sure if I passed or not, I told my manager that I would not re write with this company again, and she is going to let our learning and development team know as well since my coworker had an even worse experience with them...took 6 hours to get her exam going!
Waste of Money,Time
Proctor U is a horrible, unprofessional way to test. Not only do you have to show and share your personal information with 1 Proctor, but about 5 or 10. It is ridiculous. They do not have a manager that "entertains" phone calls and to top it off...you pay for their inexperience. Everything is recorded, yet no one can tell you what happened. It took 2 hours to start a test, they submitted before complete. I will never waste another penny with them. They have a 1.3 rating. Why would a Credible University use these people.

Zero stars if I could. ProctorU is a broken platform whose chat doesn’t work, help pages are all so outdated that they are slated for deletion, and customer service can barely speak English.
The absolute worst proctoring service
The absolute worst proctoring service. They are a massive privacy violation, and their software sucks. I have to spend HOURS just trying to access a 20 minute quiz.
Their tech support is absolutely useless as well. They give you the same suggestions over and over again, and they apparently aren't well-versed enough to realize that suggestions such as resetting the cache cause the user to be logged out, which forces the user to log back in and start a whole new support session.
Don't bother emailing management, either. They literally told me "don't email me". Customer service at this organization is awful.
Nothing, not a single, solitary thing is redeeming about this company. If I could give zero stars, I would. Did i mention how terrible and useless this company is?
In conclusion, Proctor U is terrible. Literally any other alternative is better than this company. It is, frankly, a miracle they are still in business while providing such a subpar, non-functional service.

ProctorU has a horrible reputation and today I learned why. I am a disabled student with accommodations previously filed for all of my exams. When you have accommodations, the exam itself lists that it is an ADA accommodated test. Unfortunately this was not enough for my assigned proctor who refused to agree to the listed accommodations.
The first hour of my testing time was spent trying to convince the proctor to accept the listed ADA accommodations. My request was to drink water and take my medication. I believe that is a reasonable request as I had not yet started the exam. After a lot of back and forth, I was finally allowed to take my medication without risk of my exam being shut down.
Five hours into the exam, the exam closes completely and I get pop ups for a "survey". The proctor had just logged off and shut down my exam with no warning, completely destroying hours of work. I immediately contacted their live chat and was connected to tech support who remotely re-downloaded applications that were already running, before quitting guardian browser for me, then restarting my computer. At no point did they try to help me reconnect to my exam. Instead, I was told to reschedule and do this all over again. I called the phone line and was told the exact same thing.
I'm very upset. University is difficult enough without having to manage disabilities on top of it. For me to put in all this effort, pay for this exam, and have this company ruin my hours of work is truly inexcusable. The extent of their tech support and customer service is "Oh well". They truly deserve 0 stars. And I suggesting being skeptical of any university using such a horrible service.

Just had my exam terminated said I was looking off screen which I wasn’t. police patil santhosh was the proctor. I have a dell desktop which he full viewed my screen My questions were all the way on the left side of my screen and the “next” button is all the way on the right side of my screen I showed them my work area and walls two times. My phone was behind me like 4 feet away faced down and I showed them that also. I’m not sure but I’m kind of feeling like it was something else to this and I asked for an investigation to be opened
