simple easy way to decouple payments from personal information - everyone wins. Use this and sleep better when your online service gets hacked knowing the card information will be useless.

Requiring a live picture of me after I already gave a picture of my drivers license, SSN,date of birth, full name. Was extremely aggravating. How much information due you need!? I Pay All my bills previously then you Cut my account off because you demand a picture, when I have done Nothing illegal or suspicious. I ONLY USE THIS SERVICE SO I DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT SOMEONE STEELING MY CARD NUMBER. NOT FOR PRIVACY. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

This is the most wonderful way to keep bad actors from getting your bank card! Best thing I ever did. The ease of use is wonderful as I am in control of the card and the amounts I set.

Now please work on getting this to incorporate into my Apple Pay!

I really enjoy using Privacy. It gives me peace of mind when purchasing on any website by providing a protective filter on my accounts. I love how I have the flexibility to create a purchase card number to use continually on specific websites or a single-use card number for one time purchases. You can even choose which bank account you want the purchase to come from. If you make a return with a merchant, Privacy even handles it and deposits the refund right into your original account. Privacy is safe, trustworthy, reliable and flexible. I highly recommend.

We used to waste so much money on subscriptions in our business and frankly, in my personal expenses as well... Subscriptions can be tricky to cancel. That's if you remember to cancel but in a business, no matter how successful, the subscriptions can add up, then be forgotten. These are the small droplets of blood that will bleed your business to debt. Now, I just log into my privacy portal, pause any card for any service I don't need yet, one place, one view. I love getting those emails from all these little vendors like "we tried charging your card but unsuccessful" Well good, Ididn't need your product anymore...
And maybe more importantly, we don't give out our main business card to any 3rd parties anymore, which has minimized the chance of fraud to near zero...

The fact that I can set when and how much I want to have on each card is great.

I love the service provided. It's great to take an extra step to protect your card number(s) online, and once you get the account set up, it's straightforward to use. I really like that the 2FA doesn't HAVE to go through my e-mail, as that saves me the time of doing 2 log-ins each time I want to buy a tchotchke.
That said, the account verification process has a few hoops to jump through (I'd moved just prior to opening an account, which made it hard), and there's not really a tutorial for getting yourself set up/walking you through errors (at least, my Android phone struggled to show any feedback from the webpage). They are very responsive to e-mails, though. If your connected account dips to about $100 or less, Privacy may decline transactions to prevent bouncing them, which was a surprise; and Privacy payments take 3-4 days to hit my bank (which was frustrating to realize after my mental number and bank account kept failing to match up. I've now instituted a notification system in another app to account for this lag.). So there is a bit of a learning curve, but overall the service provided is a solid one, the support team does a great job filling in the gaps, and there's not a whole lot of other competitors.

I have sent 4 requests to support for a payment issue that I experienced. I have never received a response from support. I see others have the same issue. I love the service but support seems awol. Searching for alternatives.

Really like the features to keep my main credit card more secure. I do not give my credit card to anyone over the phone. I use single use numbers and have cards assigned to major hotel chains and other travel related companies. They have a max per transaction limit so a compromised number has limited exposure and easy to cancel or reissue. Very happy with the way the cards work and the notifications I get. Easy to set up single use cards as needed. 5 stars from me.

Where do I begin. I first heard of this app from a YouTube reviewer (I don’t remember the name) that talks about data and privacy. As someone who is concerned about privacy and data, I decided to take a look into the Privacy app.

The purpose of Privacy is to use a virtual credit card that uses numbers other than your actual credit card. You connect the virtual card to a funding source and you’re good to go!

These virtual cards can be used once or used multiple times by the same merchant. You can set a transaction limit for each card so no matter what, no funds are taken out that go over the transaction limit. The virtual cards are perfect for using sites that you’re unfamiliar with, or just protecting yourself from fraudulent charges. For example, I ordered from a site that I thought was from a legit brand and my actual credit card kept getting charged, even after I contacted the bank and changed the card number! That will not happen with Privacy as long as you set the transaction limit; no site will be able to keep charging your card without your authorization.

There is a free and paid tier. As a free member, you are able to utilize the service free of charge with no gimmicks or hidden fees. I haven’t used the paid membership but if the free service is good, I’m sure the paid version offers more benefits.

I recommend everyone download this app. It provides a layer of protection between your credit/debit cards and websites that you’re entering your financial information into. Customer service is quick and responsive if there are any issues or questions regarding the account. I have recommended this company to family and friends. I’ve been using this app for over a year and I am so pleased this company exists.

Awful customer service, I switched banks and they paused my account for an inexplicable reason. I had to reach out to support 4 times to get a response and after doing so their support stopped replying to my emails, that was 3 days ago. I don't know if there's a suitable alternative but I will not be using privacy again.
