extremely intrusive company. they always know all of your bank account balances and will yell at you if it gets too low and will even deactivate your account. insane.

The premise of creating burner cards for online purchases to protect my main identity and account is fantastic. However, the onboarding process is so shockingly invasive that it completely undermines its core value proposition.

To verify my identity, they demanded a photo of my government-issued ID and the last four digits of my Social Security Number. This is more information than many major banks require to open a full-checking account!

The irony is painful. My whole purpose was to limit the exposure of my personal and financial data online. By forcing me to provide my most sensitive details to a fintech company that is "not a bank," they are asking me to take on a significant risk before I even get to use their service. The security benefit is negated by the privacy cost. I'm closing my account before it even began. Huge disappointment.

I'm sure hackers are foaming at the mouth to hack this site - I will be very vulnerable. My advice just is to buy Pre Paid Credit Card for small fee.

Simple and easy to use with no hassle.

This has saved me from so much headache with difficult to contact companies. I just pause, cancel, or reduce the limit to my card and we are good to go. Eventually, the company will realize and stop whatever they were providing you. Great way to manage your finances with limits.

Privacy has really saved my bank account many times. It allows me full control of how a merchant transacts with my account. Let's face it, not every retailer/merchant is honest. Not every merchant/retailer has the security needed to protect your private details. Privacy gives you that control. I'm super grateful for them. Not only does Privacy.com provide a very valuable service, but they also provide a very well-designed user interface that makes transactions a breeze. The tool is so easy to use, I'd like to think this is how I would've designed it myself. Intuitive, aesthetically appealing, and a pleasure to use.

The concept is great, and when I am able to use these virtual cards, I have no issues. However, yesterday I learned that there are some online merchants who will not take payments from a privacy.com card. This makes no sense. They are Mastercards. The funds are there from my own bank account. It doesn't really seem very private if merchants can tell the card is virtual. I am super frustrated by this.

I am comfortable using Privacy instead of using my bank card to make purchases online. I have the ability to limit my monthly purchase amount and can stop the card at anytime. With all the computer hacks happening in our current society, Privacy gives me the assurance that this will not happen through their service.

They provide a service that removes 95 percent of the chance of credit card fraud. We’ve not had a single instance since using privacy regularly and consistently. Totally worth it!

I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau about their conduct. I've found their treatment of PRO subscription customers, appalling.
They are holding over $700 worth of refund payments i SHOULD have received from amazon from returning products - BUT NO! They frozen my account over a duplicate payment they got from a vendor whom i already paid....I tried to do as "Shawn" from support@privacy . com told me to do, which was to add a new payment source to clear the "$78 hold", which i did; low and behold, i could not pay that charge, the accounts decided to pause itself and WON'T LET ME PAY TO GET MY OWN MONEY BACK.....Criminal.

I recommend everyone stay far the heck away.

I’ve used this app for a couple of years now. It’s absolutely perfect for making sure your card number cannot be used for any other than its intended purpose. It also allows me to avoid giving out my actual name and address for online services that don’t need that information. It’s super easy to use.

Being able to use multiple card numbers gives me flexibility and security so I won't worry about getting overcharged when I'm not expecting it and being able to secure my account against unauthorized charges from vendors that may have my card number from an unrelated transaction. You guys are awesome!

Privacy makes it easier for me to buy things online. We all know that nothing is really safe anymore, especially online.
With Privacy I'm able to create cards that are directly linked to my bank account, set limits, restrictions and not worry about forgetting to cancel a subscription (THANK YOU).
I don't have to worry about my card number getting leaked and passed around then someone taking the little we have saved. No need to add to credit card debt by hiding behind big CCs for protection.
You can also spend category limits, track spending, etc. Or just keep it simple, kid wants game on store, give kid card number, set X $ limit or as one time use, don't worry about your kid subscribing to anything or re-using for other purchases (I see it a lot with other parents).
Ok, I'm ranting, anyway, 100% recommend. Free, safe, and easy to use!

I tried to top up my balance two days in a row. And I still couldn't do it. Communication with support takes not just a lot of time but days!!! What kind of service is this if even at the stage of replenishing the balance, critical problems arise out of nowhere. And what if the funds are withdrawn from the account or simply stolen? This is the worst service I have ever encountered. Don't waste your time! Now I will ask to delete my account, I hope it will take at least a week.
