Scam , I went looking for a parking app called Honk and ended up filling out a form that I thought was the Honk app, extremely shady and misleading. Now I need a new bankcard.

It should be a 0 but had to put 1 to put any comment with it. It's a scam ,you don't even have to give them your cc number they will get it out of your information on file. I dod not give them anything nor did I go into their site at all. I have no idea how they got my information. Frauds. Scammers.

Went online looming for a “ park smarter app”. Redirected to their site. I was in a hurry and Gave my cc info. My credit card contacted me about the transaction and I realized it was a scam. Had to have a new cc issued.

I failed for the same trick ad everyone. I’ve tried to download kitty apps for Portland, OR. Needless to say.. I have a new credit card coming. This is a pure SCAM!!

I have to put at least 1 star in the review. I spent 5 days in LA, didn't subscribe to anything and over a week home they try to charge my card. Total scam.

I experienced the same issue that others state on this site. I called to dispute the charge and American Express knew about this and how awful Primedefender was to work with.

Parking kitty app at the Portland zoo. Got scammed into a monthly charge when you think you’re just paying for parking. Disputed both charges and now have to get a new card to stop recurring payments. So annoying!

If I could give a lesser rating, I would. I never signed up with them and yet my bank notified me of possible fraud. They attempted to submit a charge of $9.95-

This site is a simple scam, I wanted to down load Google Wallet, and then wound up on a screen that said I needed to input my card info and would NOT be charged. They immediately charged me for their service, I had to jump through hoops to back the charge off.

I downloaded an app to pay a parking spot and got scammed somehow by primedefender.

It is a total scam.

I used a QR code on a legit Parking Kitty sign in Portland, OR, to download their (Parking Kitty) app to pay for parking. The QR code took me to Prime Defenders. I filled in my card info and hit send. Lucky for me, my bank refused the transaction. Today (6/29), Prime Defender again tried to take money from my account. Again, my bank refused. This is outright FRAUD! This company needs prosecution.

Fraud. Someone put their QR code on parking meters in Corpus Christi and even worse and more defiantly even on meters in front of the CC police department. So instead of properly paying for the meter, we got charged for PrimeDefender monthly service. They need to be shut down effective immediately and criminal prosecution needs to take place.

Scam. When I went to download a parking app, this popped up instead. I thought this was part of the parking app process so I added my card. They charged me 29.45. They should be investigated for fraud. Currently on the phone with my bank.

SCAM. Popped up when I tried to load a parking app, no service provided and recurring charges. They should be investigated for fraud.

It's a scam, I had to cancel my card and get a new one to stop the recurring charges.

I went to pay for parking and after I entered my debit card into I was immediately routed to their website. I was automatically enrolled in a subscription for like $30/month. I went through their customer support to cancel said subscription but I have no idea if it’s actually been canceled or not.

I went on my Google play store to download parknyc mobile app on June 2, 2026. When I thought I was on the app, I entered my debit card information, but all of a sudden prime defender pops up, and although I got out of the app, so I thought, I wake up this morning to check my bank account, and see a charge for $29.45 (very odd amount) from primedefender.com. I immediately go to their website and when I attempt to login, of course I get an error message that it was the wrong password, but it's a password I remember typing in when I thought I was on the parknyc mobile app. When I select forgot password, I never get a link to reset it. Also, when looking at their website, there is no "plan" for $29.45.

Ironically, this company is posing as a "cyber security" business, and they're doing just what they claiming to protect people from, CYBER SCAMS!!

I sent an email to service at primedefender.com, however, that was around 4:30AM (June 3rd). I am not sure if I will get a response. I will also call their "customer service" line at 9AM 855.718.7363 to see what happens. I've locked my card, and will be disputing the charge with my bank and reporting them as a fraudulent company.

When you see their ad, immediately remove your information.
