This company is a complete con! They somehow got details of my credit card and without my authorisation attempted to take a payment.Fortunately my credit card company queried the payment and following my instruction blocked it. However I had to cancel my card and wait for a new replacement. They have since had the gaul to send me a letter regarding my (non existent) membership of their book club. DO NOT USE THEM! I will be contacting the national press about their activities.

Contacted me weeks ago for a book club. I declined as I have audible and find £79.99 taken from my account today and have no idea what for.

Total scam.

This company is a scam sign you up for free trial and then send you the details just before it expires so you cannot cancel before they charge you.Very pushy sales people will not take no for an answer once they got you to agree to one go straight on to another. Fortunately I canceled the card they have so they won't be able to get money from me.

I received an un-solicited call from a woman with an American accent. My first reply was that 'I was not interested thank you'. She was very pushy and I kept saying 'I am not interested throughout the conversation when she persisted in offering 'free vouchers. I finally said that 'I was not interested' again, and turned my phone off.

My bank called me a few days later to ask me about a "suspicious payment of over £60' and after speaking to me my bank immediately annulled the fake payment and reimbursed my account.

The owners of ' Premieroffers direct' should be prosecuted in my opinion

Same as all the other reviews of this SCAM company, money taken from my elderly parents account without their knowledge or permission. Hopefully the bank will refund it. Shame on you 'Premier Offers Direct" or whatever other benign names you use to prey on the elderly, the online equivalent of mugging grannies purses.

Scam through easy life. Data breach...selling on details. Illegal and immoral. Good I got one address off there paperwork. Plan to visit them.

These have took money from me I did not authorise, a company called eckman has sold my details to them from something I bought 2 and a half years ago

same here. Actually its a Zero point review because they fraudulantly took money from an account that i bought something with littlefruittrees.com. Scam scam scam, that company keeps calling me and doesnt listen to me, that i dont want vouchers or cashback blabla because it turns out first you have to pay a load of money (for me) before i apparrently can use those vouchers in all stores of the UK. Don't even speak a word to them, inspite of your NO they'll raid your account. Terrible.

Regrettably I can’t give zero stars. Absolutely appalled by this organisation trying to rip off my elderly mum with this fraudulent offer. They claim in a letter to have taken £1.99 from her account, then say by email they haven’t. Disgusting tactics preying on the vulnerable. AVOID - despicable company.

As all the reviews below they cold called my 80 year old mum. She told them she was not interested but still signed her up to 3 clubs. To cancel is a joke the email address bounces back. Could not speak to a manager, surprise they were in a meeting. I have advised my mum to cancel her debit card so they cannot take payment. This company is shocking and should be closed down taking advantage of elderly people. It’s a scam.

This company took money from my account twice last month. Firstly £1.99 then £89.20. I don’t ever remember signing up to anything but apparently it’s all linked to a purchase I made from Eckman.

Yesterday, I had a cold call from Premier Offers inviting me to their Motor Club. I declined as I have a company car. I told her that I never sign up over the phone to anything as I don’t know who you are. She then advised that because I had purchased goods from Eckman.

Taken money from boyfriend account with out his permission didn’t want books apparently I did I’m disabled and unemployed and they took 98 pounds then another 38 pound leaving me with no food or money for bills disgusting

I cancelled my membership a couple of weeks ago and was told my membership is closed. Today I find my bank account has been charged £10. Please explain.

How is this company even legally trading? My Mother (aged 76) received a cold call offering her children's books to which she declined (conversation was overheard by other family members). A few weeks later she received an open box with several books inside and an itemised statement of books sent (many not even included in the box). Concerned, she checked her bank statement to find she had already been charged more than 90 pounds, for books she didn't want! They have obviously received her bank details from another mail order company, most probably marketed towards the elderly, which is not only very concerning but also surely it's illegal? This company (and obviously linked companies with mutual directors/secretarys) are obviously out to exploit the elderly.

I received their puzzle book letter and cash back letter on 19th May and emailed them immediately to cancel as I was concerned that they had my bank details, and also the closing date was 31 May and then I would be charged £24 for puzzle book and £79.45 for cash back, they claimed £79.45 from my bank account on 30th May (before the deadline) even though they had been told twice that I didn't want their product, once on 19th May and again on 24th May, I have requested my money back via BACS which all banks do and they said sorry but it will be 5 days! I find this a very dishonest underhand business strategy - if they could cancel the one letter why not both they were sent at the same time!

This company tend to pick on elderly as they tried to with my father after he bought something from a catalogue of theirs, They signed him up for membership rewards scheme which he knew nothing about, and they continued to take money from his account until I contacted them, they also operate under the name easylife and probably many more names I would suggest having no dealings with them at all.

I have not signed up with this company but they took almost 80 pounds from my account not funny premier offers . I am on a budget and you have left me with no electricity to put in my meter . Stay away people

I bought some fruit trees from Eckman. Then this guy calls and wants me to sign up to vouchers. I put him on loud speaker. He asks me for my favourite colour. I lie. There is a second and third part to the call, I say I don't have time. My daughter says he’s harvesting personal data for hacking. Then I had a letter saying I've been signed up for vouchers and they will charge the card I used to pay for the trees. Two weeks later they try to take £69 from my bank. Luckily the bank blocked them. I had to speak to fraud and get a new card. Now I need to report to trading standards, who don’t work weekends, so i need to take time out of my working day. How were Eckmann allowed to sell on my card details and why are Premier still operating?

The advice from Trading Standards was to check the contract from Eckman - did I sign up to my financial details being passed to another business? I can't find the contract atm. If I find the contract and I didn't then I can contact the Ombudsman. Also, if they try to take money again, I need to contact the Independent Commissioners Office - something to do with data breaches.

Update: This press release has been updated to reflect the fact that Easylife Ltd were fined for breaching the GDPR, as opposed to the Data Protection Act 2018.

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) has reached an agreement with Easylife Ltd (Easylife) to reduce the monetary penalty notice (MPN), issued for breaching the GDPR, to £250,000.

Easylife accepts the ICO’s findings set out in the MPN and has agreed to pay the reduced fine.

The ICO fined Easylife on 4 October 2022. This followed an investigation which found the company was making assumptions about customers’ medical conditions, based on their purchase history, to sell them further health related products.

The ICO found this involved the processing of special category data by Easylife, and the activity was being conducted without a lawful basis. Easylife has since stopped the unlawful processing of special category data.

Easylife appealed against the MPN. Both parties have now reached agreement that the MPN and the ICO’s factual findings stand, and the amount of the penalty should be reduced.

The First-tier Tribunal (General Regulatory Chamber) has approved the agreement reached by both parties and has otherwise dismissed the appeal.

Easylife also received a separate £130,000 fine on 4 October 2022 for being responsible for over 1.3m unsolicited direct marketing calls, which is a breach of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). This penalty was not appealed and was paid in full.
