This company cold called me on the phone about their so-called bargain offers and 4-week trial period about a month before I wrote this negative review. They had me join a travel club and cookery club and they lied about discount offers. When I received my credit card statement from my bank the amount I owed on my credit card was much more than I expected to owe. For that reason I checked the transactions and found that Premier Offers Direct had charged £49.99 three times and £19.99 once on my card which I was sure that I didn't authorise. I cancelled my membership by phone, realising it was a disgusting con and had those charges on my card refunded. I wrote this review to warn others about this company.

Received a letter this morning welcoming me to The Premier Cooking Academy, from Premier Offers Direct.
Letter mentions a conversation I had with their agent on 18 March 2024. Agent must have a good imagination as I know that I have never had any contact with this company.

Rang to number provided, 08081108004, and told them to close this account and remove my details from their system.

I was informed that this was done.

I have since emailed their support email informing them of the same info and asked for closure confirmation.

Waiting on reply.

Thankfully my mum’s bank picked up on this payment of £79.99 this company were trying to take from my recently widowed mum in her 80s.

My mum hasn’t used this company. A couple of months ago she bought some slippers from a catalogue and she had a similar payment flagged from her bank, for £5 less and it said it was from a different company with a different reference. That time she called the company and they assured her no further money would be taken. Weirdly that time the reference was ‘bookmember’ and the company was listed as moto gp. They shouldn’t have attempted to take anything in the first place.

Thankfully no money was taken and we’ve stopped her bank card. The bank suggested calling this company to ensure no further payments are attempted. It took 20 minutes on hold (from third in the queue) and someone suggested that mum had had a phone call and signed up to something, she absolutely had not. Why even would you sign up to such a thing?! The fact that neither of these attempted payments even came from the company name from the catalogue is very odd.

Absolutely furious that this company are scamming people in this way. Even if they think they aren’t, they’d only need to read these reviews to see that clearly their practices are underhand and WRONG.

I wish something could be done to stop this happening to other people.

Why has this firm not been reported as a fraudulent company?? This despicable company scammed £89.68 unlawfully from my wife’s bank account, luckily reimbursed, but what if she hadn’t noticed! How are they managing to do it??

I have never heard of Premier Offers until my bank statement showed that I was overdrawn and I saw that £64.89 had been taken from my account o 18/03/24. When I looked back I realise that they have taken 2 other payments in the last few months. I don't use this account very often and didn't realise what had happened. Surely this is fraud?.

Just like the reviews below my elderly dad has been scammed out of £65.99, I know sadly others have lost more but I was able to see this quick and support him to the bank where we reported this as fraud. He received a letter on 16th March saying he had until the 5th March to cancel his subscription which he never agreed too.. They took this money on 29th February!!! The process in the bank caused my dad to have a panic attack and he was struggling to breathe!! The bank were great and cancelled his cards and offered a refund although took over an hour to sort out.
I called Premier offers and asked them to delete his info but they wouldn't take my instruction and insisted on talking to my dad!! As you can imagine after yesterday this was not an option. They said its policy, my response was where is the policy to say you can swindle money out of vulnerable elderly people without their authorisation!! They don't care so I have taken this to the media. BEWARE OF THIS DISGUSTING COMPANY... NO MORALS. Dad also had an account with Easylife which I see has been mentioned before, this has now been closed.

This company are dishonest in the extreme. They took £99 from my account and I had never heard of them. My bank is almost as bad they gave them MY money without any checks. Yet companies I regularly deal with have to wait whilst i enter a validation code each time I buy from them.

Like all the other people posting reviews, my elderly mum was scammed out of £550 over 18 months with nothing to show for it by this company.
Today my mum received a letter welcoming her to the Premier motor club at a cost of £65 per year membership fee.
My mum who is 86 years old blind and partially deaf didnt understand what the person was selling her. She has never had a driving licence or owned or driven a car.

Assisting elderly relative with transactions for £24.99 out of his account. He has never dealt with them.
This is over a six month period, with two payments being taken on a quarterly basis.
This is a systematic charge with no authorisation, calculated to disappear under the radar.
Please check elderly people’s DD’s on a regular basis, these people prey on the vulnerable and caution is needed.

I had £99 removed from my account on the 4th march.These people cold called me ages ago and I had forgotten about it.I ended the call when I managed to get a word in sideways.I know I did not give them my bank details.Any cold calls about book clubs,free shopping vouchers and any other drivel,it,s all a scam,

If I could give zero stars, I would. Disgusting, immoral individuals who prey on the elderly. My mum was cold called and talked into trialling a book club. She was told it would cost her nothing to have a look and she could either return them at no cost, or keep them and pay £89 per year. They sent her children’s books, which cost her £10 p&p to return and arrived too late for her to claim the free trial anyway. They have since taken multiple amounts from her account even though she did not give them her card details. Fraud department are involved, and she will hopefully get her money back from the bank, but it’s really shaken her up. I don’t know how these b******s sleep at night.

There is money going out of my account that I no nothing about I have never used And it must be stopped.

Absolute scum bags - signed me up for Premier Motor Club - I don't even own a car! How did they get my details??? Cheeky operator on the phone when I phoned to cancel - beware of them and do not let them away with it!!!

Absolute bloody scammers, they took 3 x payments every other month for three months. Total £150, I have never used this company and never would.
They steal from pensioners. Absolute SCUM.
Fortunately Halifax are refunding me the three payments. Thank you HALIFAX.

This is a huge scam .. we have never used easy life or any company attached to them, we pays for a holiday and suddenly they are trying to take £78 an hour later but Barclay card stopped it and issued us a new card but they appeared to have set up a direct debt with out our consent and tried taking £75 . I don’t know how they are able to set up direct debts without the consent .. totally disgusting should be shut down immediately.

Made a purchase from Eckman and what a disaster that has been. Ever since a company called Premier Offers have been trying to take nearly £80 from my account at monthly intervals. Thank goodness I used a virtual card with an expiry date, otherwise I'd have been shafted. Steer clear of this con, because a con is what it is. It is disgusting how a company like this is allowed to exist in today's world.

My 92 year old father who has dementia and lots of health issues had order a step from Easylife catalogue.
Easylife seemed to have passed on his details to PremierOffer who then were regularly taking £58.99 and £69.49 out of his Santander Bank account. When i realised this i contacted Santander who immediately refunded me he money but said they couldn’t do anything else to this company or Easylife.
so i have no option but to put this negative review on Trustpilot to stop other vulnerable people making the mistake of buying from Easylife and being opted into this scam!!!!

disgraceful behaviour from Easylife who are supposed supporting vulnerable people!!!!! How do you sleep at night????

Mum 86yr old mother was scammed by this absolute no morals worthless piece of scums
They took £89 out of her bank account and sent her children’s book.
I have informed the police and her bank do this people know what detrimental affects they have on vulnerable people same on you
