Great Hands-on Experience.
Great Hands-on Experience.
I attended the Claude Code Workshop for Designers by Practice Shift, and it genuinely exceeded my expectations.
What stood out immediately was how practical and hands-on the entire experience was. This was not one of those sessions where you just learn theory or watch someone demo things. We were actually building, testing, and deploying in real time, which made a huge difference in understanding how to use AI tools effectively as designers.
Akhil, Saumya, and JB were exceptional mentors throughout the workshop. Each of them brought a slightly different perspective, which made the learning experience much richer. They were patient, highly knowledgeable, and very approachable when it came to questions or troubleshooting. You could tell they were deeply experienced, not just in AI tools but in real-world design workflows.
One of the biggest takeaways for me was learning how to design with intent using prompts, instead of the usual “trial and hope” approach. The workshop really focused on giving designers control, how to structure prompts, iterate intelligently, and actually shape outputs to match your vision. That shift alone made the session incredibly valuable.
I also appreciated how the workshop covered deployment, which is something many similar sessions skip. Being able to go from idea to something live made the learning feel complete and immediately applicable.
Overall, this is easily one of the most useful AI-focused workshops I’ve attended. If you’re a designer looking to move beyond surface-level prompting and actually integrate AI into your workflow in a meaningful way, this is 100% worth it.
