I am a GivEnergy customer and have never had any prior relationship with Powerdog (PWRDG).
Despite this, I received an unsolicited email from Powerdog sent to an email address that I have only ever used for GivEnergy. I have never provided my details to Powerdog, which raises serious concerns about how my personal data has been obtained.
Since looking into the company further, I have noticed multiple recent changes to business details, including address changes and the removal of individual names from their website. This lack of transparency only adds to my concerns.
I have contacted both GivEnergy and Powerdog to ask whether my data has been shared or if a breach has occurred, but I have received no response. I understand that others are reporting similar experiences.
Given the unanswered questions around data handling and the lack of clear accountability, I would strongly urge caution before engaging with this company or sharing any personal or financial information.
I have reported this matter to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and would expect both companies to provide clear explanations to affected customers
