My friend and myself had booked a "Tribute to the King" cruise many years ago and were fevering towards it. Flights booked and everything. I got a bit suspicious a few months ago,wnlhen I , by coincident found out that this cruise was suddenly labelled "comedy cruise". I enquired many times and always was re assured that everything is OK. Now, finally , I was told after nagging and nagging, that they changed the theme. I would have walked on that ship, looking for Elvis 🤬. They at least could have told me in time. I didn't have to take time of work and saved money on flights.

Unbelievably boring, my cabin flooded first night, all they did is put a fan in my room didn’t give me another room, food is terrible, they canceled all my restaurant booking and pretend they didn’t then closed the booking app so we couldn’t book anything, they changed me $180 for extremely slow internet , honestly I can’t believe I wasted money on this cruise

Payed £3400 to stay in a cabin not fit for purpose .Three ports missed , Rubber glove covering the shower drain to stop it smelling , black water coming out of taps and toilet. Flooded in the middle of the night having to get the water up myself with towels .shower over flowing , furniture coming away from the walls , rust and black on the sealant . Rude staff , ship covered in rust , kids with paint brushes slapping paint over rust some never seen a paint brush boch up everywhere. Running a ship into the ground that OAPs go on , oh and not forgetting the rips in the carpets with hazard tape cover covering them . Told me they were going to paint the bottom of the shower to cover the wear and tear . I am sick of emailing these people I have the evidence with photos . I will be taking them to Southampton i only live around the corner .

January this year I went on the Australia Day cruise with a friend of my family and the cruise itself was great. Whilst still on the ship I rebooked for next year and included the same guest on the booking. I was told I could remove the guest later on if the guest could not make it.
As it turns out that person can no longer attend the cruise. I have paid the full price for the cabin and will still attend myself but rang P&O to advise that the guest name should be removed from the booking. The answer I received was that I would need to pay a 25% cancellation fee even though the cost of the cabin is the same for one or two people, similar to a hotel room. Upon complaint they said it is company policy and the only way to not pay the fee was to add a different person. Ridiculous? You decide
No response from P&O!
Had a credit note to use with P&O cruises but were unable to contact them to use directly. Had to book via a third party, Ozcruising.com.au, who charged my daughter and I nearly double the amount advertised directly with P&O. We had no choice but to pay as we would have lost the $1200 credit and were leaving the country. Ozcruising told us it was the last cabin on the cruise, however the ship was less than three-quarters full! The ship route changed to just one stop, Port Vila. The crew were fantastic but bitterly disappointed with P&O who have since ignored all correspondence despite the ship’s reception contacting them.

I have been trying to upgrade tickets since 27th August. They dont bother to reply to emails. Their phone number dosent get answered, theit call back system is pointles I have been waiting 11 HOURS

I put an amount of money on my credit card for onboard spending and did not spend it all. I was assured by the staff onboard that I did not need to do anything and my balance would be refunded to my credit card within 5-10 days. Despite 2 phone calls and an online chat there is still no rebate. It’s the principle of the thing that really upsets me - why should I have to chase my own money and how many people are they doing this to and gathering interest on money that does not belong to them?

I needed time to reflect on the response from Darran, the Guest Support Representative for P&O.
I found Darran response a little condescending and to hide behind P&O terms and condition to justify his response shows why P&O customer service gets some of the worst reviews I have ever read. I honestly can’t think of anything worse than P&O customer service.
Having spent 2.5 hours waiting for P&O customer service to answer my call to be told that they could not deal with me because I did not book directly with P&O, any inquiry had to come from IGLU directly.
I am pleased that IGLU are willing to move your part of the deposit of £186.00 to a new booking. The problem is P&O not offering anything this shows their ethos and lack of customer care.
However to see P&O is willing to take my £770.00 deposit and not offer anything not even a gesture of good will, has left a BITTER taste.
Darran response said we must remain consistent with our guests in relation to the booking process. I acknowledge that this is not the response you were hoping to receive, and I regret any further disappointment this may cause.
To think I cancelled my cruise on NORWEGIAN cruise to for this cruise they were willing to offer me another cruise if I wanted to save my deposit. P&O offered nothing.
Well Darran just letting you know that I will not let your cold and heartless response effect my holiday because the staff on ship works to a high standard, but it won’t be enough for my family and friends to ever use P&O cruises again.
We will enjoy our last cruise on P&O.

The company refuses to refund my onboard credit money. I added money to my card and was told what I didn’t spend will be refunded. I have contacted them multiple times including speaking to 4 different people plus emails, all promising my money will be refunded. Now completely ghosted, no one returns my calls or emails and they have kept my money. Never again!

We have just arrived back after a 10 day cruise on The Pacific Adventure to Vanuatu. It was a nightmare,toxic paint fumes in our mini suite.We suffered this for 4 days suffering headaches and discomfort.No apology only "it happens sometimes". Fridge broken, TV broken,Hair-dryer broken.Out of 10 days only 2 without drama.PO Cruises are dismissive when contacted.Would never go on a PO Cruise again.
Bait and switch on booking followed by no service
I have been trying to get a response from P&O since 22nd of March when we requested a refund after we decided not to travel with them due to their misleading behavior around our booking. Complaint line says wait for the Supervisor to contact you. Supervisor lies and says he is in the process of emailing and doesn't. Then they try to convince you that the entire booking office can't do anything to assist as they wait for said supervisor when he has said he has escalated the problem to guest services (another lie, there is not record on the file of this). The whole thing has been an example of poor customer services (except the poor call centre who do their best). Complete arrogance and disrespect. Spend your money elsewhere. I think they were trying to exhaust us until we just gave up and went away with them keeping the money

I cannot prior book airline seats for my cruise ,I go to the P&O my account and although I have a booking number it keeps saying you can book seats 14 weeks before this dosen't work .I have tried to contact the P&O help line and have wait nearly 45 minutes ,when I finally get through I am told that I cannot book until 20 days before, I have been intouch with the airline company and they state that there is already seats booked on this flight. Why is it that P&O have the ballance paid 17 WEEKS beforeyou go, yet you can't book airline seats at the same time. I havent had this problem with any other Cruise company I have been with ,THIS NEEDS SORTING P&O ,
worlds worst customer service
If I could rate lower I would. They do not have a complaints line, they will not transfer you to someone else and will not transfer you to a manager or higher. I have never had to ask for a manager before in my life and I felt so awful doing it but I was full of rage. Their customer service is disgusting.
We ended up cutting our losses and cancelling our cruise, refusing to pay them anymore money while they kept the "cancellation fee".
Just avoid, not worth the hassle.

We booked a cruise on Iona to the Canaries and was so disappointed with the poor quality food but had a nice suite on the back of the boat with lots of noise from the sun deck above ugh .Our suite was always cleaned to a good standard the couch was very uncomfortable, we were both happy P&O Cruise people but not after this experience after eating in the Horizon between dirty dishes with staff walking past not bothered with doing their job. I must add the resident group were very good. Are P&O frightened to put a questionnaire in your cabin? Sadly we have another Iona cruise booked before our experience and can not cancel as we wanted to change to another ship.
P & O short cruise to Kangaroo Island
We took a short cruise from Melbourne to Kangaroo Island and back in December 2023. We booked and paid for a Cape Willoughby wine tour on the Island. We were taken to the Lighthouse on a bus and then told we couldn't go to the winery because it was closed. We were then taken to a dreary tourist Centre office to taste a couple of thimbles of wine. We were not told before the tour started that the winery was closed and given the choice to cancel and we certainly didn't get what we paid for. I requested a refund for the tour and after numerous phone calls and 3 months later I was told the request has been denied with no explanation. I was also told I would get an email with the reason: 3 weeks later still no email. Disgusting customer service.

P&Os customer service is a shambles. Went on the Pacfic Island Hopper, Pacific Explorer Ship from Auckland in Sept 2023 and unfortunately had issue after issue. It ended up being the holiday to nowhere. P&O haven't even had the decency to respond or apologise. Cruise was delayed taking off, we were unable to arrive at 2 out of the 4 destinations, balcony was a disgrace, filthy and un-use able, restaurant booking system chaos, disemabarkment a shambles. Ship was tired and in need of investment. Whilst I acknowledge the weather events were outside P&Os control, the customer service received once they had received full payment shows all they are interested in. Unfortunately it has put us off cruises, although many fellow passengers on board did say to not use this experience to compare to all cruise ships. Clearly we'll just avoid P&O Australia in future.
They can have 1 star for the staff on board who were great. The rest was a waste of ALOT of money.

P&O Australia have allowed their quality standards to erode away poorly. Our recent cruise to Kangaroo Is was disgraceful.
We spent 3 days off the east coast of Tasmania doing north to south circuits at 9 knots.
I would never recommend P&O to others.

Absolutely terrible experience with their account section. They are terribly irresponsible and no professional response as well. Be careful to provide credit card details. We lost around A$2000 and when I disputed, they said from higher office decided not to refund the amount they overcharged. No explanation at all for their fraud deeds. We decided Never ever go with them. I thought since they operate from Australia, they maintain some sort of standard. But the customer service is unprofessional and with zero ethics. Dishonest people. This is our bitter experience
