A friend of ours that lived on his sailboat in the Florida Keys passed away at age 94.
There is a garden in the marina for sailors and we planted a key lime tree in memory of capt jack but it just seemed like it needed more.
I found plaquemaker online and, with their help, designed and ordered a memorial plaque that is in the garden at the base of the 'capt jack key lime tree'. It is very nice and gets lots of positive comments from visiting sailors. Also, whenever someone plucks a key lime or two for their key lime pie or to squeeze into a cocktail there are fond remembrances of our
olde sailor friend.
