PicRights.com is a total scam. The positive reviews here are fake. PicRights does NOT give photographers a single cent. While what they do isn't illegal, it is absolutely unethical.
They sent my client such an email, regarding a pic from pixelbay. They claimed it belonged to AFP, a French company. The article was written is early June, the AFP ownership claim is June 15th 2022. So, it was on Pixelbay before they owned it.
Either way, the image doesn't exist on the site. They sent a photoshopped image of the alleged use. I wrote them back and they said they will just turn this over to law firm of Higbee and Associates and all previous offers to resolve have been withdrawn.
I made a fraud claim at ICANN. I suggest everyone do the same.

'PicRights International' fraudulently claimed copyright ownership on an image that I know they do not have, as I personally know the copyright owner. I received an email from resolve [at] picrights.com that claimed that several images were used in violation, including the one that is clearly not theirs to claim. After challenging them, they just stopped writing. My guess is that they are just crawling and storing images on the web, then matching them up with Google's image match algorithm and sending threatening emails that clearly are not DMCA Take Down Requests due to the perjury and fraud clause in legal DMCA requests, hoping that a small percentage of the recipients will just pay quietly. Do with this information what you will and good luck dealing with these people!

Worse ever company. They do not have any quality deal with customers.

Absolutely foul company. As per the paper correspond they sent Couple of email for the photo never used. Sent similar company name for us. When I sent got a letter by post, I tried to phone them. No answer. I sent them an email explaining my position. No reply.

Do not pay at all.

Pic Rights sent me a letter about a picture taken at a charity event I organised. I wish I'd checked here first 'cause I paid them £165!!! Please read all the other comments and do NOT pay Pic Rights...

Scam! Luckily I actually had permission for the picture I had used so I just played them along and gathered as much evidence that I could. They will be getting a shock in the next few weeks.

Ho ricevuto 3 mail per 3 foto diverse usate nel mio blog per scopi informativi, no business nel 2015. Foto che a oggi trovo nel web in diversi siti. Non ho ricevuto nessuna Pec o raccomandata. Anche se sul sito delle agenzie c’è il loro logo non è detto che siamo autorizzate a chiedere cifre esorbitanti e pagare sui loro conti. Peraltro io sono proprietaria del sito dal 2022 Qualche notizia in più dagli utenti italiani ?

This is a complete shambles of morally bankrupt puff adders. They sent a letter (poorly printed) to our old office and upon closer inspection, the picture they claim was being used wasn't even an AFP image, similar but not exact. Crooks. Check your image, take it down, don't respond or pay them, buy it from the website or photographer directly.

We purchased our stock from Adobe Stock Image and also got their email. They provided an overseas bank account so you can't regret it and after them.

Guys, ask them to show 1. the author's signed authorization to Picrights with the author's contact details. 2. Local law/section number to support the charge and action they are taking.

Also, if you are using a company to trade. It's limited liability.

Who charges £922 for using a copyrighted picture that is not even a high resolution in this economy when almost everyone is struggling to pay their bills? They stated in the email that we fully appreciate that this is a very difficult time and that which legit company will sympathise with you if you are at fault. Anyway, I don't have the money, so this payment is not possible for me. It's a pure scam, and the majority of the comments show that they use pressure to get their money. I'm just not ready for this, as there is too much stress in this life. The point is I don't have any money to pay this even if it's reduced to £50.

These guys are the pits. Best ignored and hope they will go bust. They are not employed by photographers rahter they trawl the internet threatening people who have used pictures that are free to use. Thier Mo should be illegal.

I should give them 0 star to negative stars. Worst ever company trying to take your money. I received a letter from them with a screenshot of different website, nowhere in the screenshot mention our company name but a similar name with our previous name (we change our company name nearly 5 years back!); even the name is not same!! However, tried to call without success and then send them an email with the scan copy of the letter explain the situation. They bother not to reply at all. Absolutely low level company, (if it is company at all); do not reply or pay not a single penny.

I'm not sure where to begin, but I did the same as others by reporting to IC3.GOV

SCAM, DO NOT PAY. My website vlog got lots of comments on the forum, these anonymous people also attached pictures with their comments (a chicken and a man kicking a soccer ball). Then this company contacts me asking me to pay $650 per picture (the pictures that random people put on my comment forum) I think the company does the comment and picture, and then emails the website owning demaning cash

All the positive reviews showing on here are fake, see they all come from users with only 1 previous review.

Don't pay them, just ignore them.
