Just dont do it. i spent over 60k on a 4x4 that was advertised as only having paint damage and surface corrosion and all i needed to do was get an unregistered vehicle permit and blue slipped...
the car was in short is a complete ride off, the entire underside of the car is affected by rust, every light and aftermarket electrical component on it was ether cut or never connected, windscreen wipers and hazard lights dont work, only one lock on the car worked as it should drivers seat not bolted down/ shifted and missing suspension components, it also broke down and failed the blue slip. i could have killed myself or any number of other road uses because of their negligence and misrepresenting the car.
talking with legal representation for over a year.
i took them to NCAT( wrong court as it was a auction) it turned out i was the second person that day taking them to court over misrepresentation.
Pickles know what they are doing and dont care, if it was something they missed or the person they sold it on behalf lied it would be nothing but beneficial to them, their reputation and their ethics to try and resolve the issues and weed out the bad sellers using the them to misrepresent the lots.
i called within 4h of picking up the car to get a return/ refund( and i hadn't found all the issues with it or had it inspected yet). they had the money, they have the ability to cancel and refund an auction( at the time of sale in their T&C). No it was my fault for bidding.
At no point in over a year have they been helpful in resolving this. i have waited until now hoping that they might come good... nope. for $60k+ all i got was legal fees, stress, sleepless nights, despair and chunk of dangerous scrap

Pickles Aucrion is a scam. The auction is a scam. After winning 2 items, I was advised that they do not neet a reserve and I could offer more money to secure items. Waste of my time. One item had a range of $2000 to $6,000 and we won at about $4200. The information and missing history is no longer available after the auction. They called and said of I pay extra I can have said item. The second otem I bid about $12,500 and they said the range expected was $18,000 to $20,000. This item retails at $20,000. I read the t and c's and they illegally try to contract you out of taking legal action. The auction is a scam as results are not final. Only a mechanism to make you pay more. I suggest you steer clear of Pickles Scam Auctions. Or should I say Pickles bid process to further negotiate.

Scamming people terribly place to buy vehicles. I don't recommend pickles.

I Purchased computer monitors from here, when I arrived, after paying for said items, they informed me the main item in the listing and listing photos had been withdrawn without any notification or update to the listing. When I called customer support they told me i would be reimbursed for travel, they have now knocked this back too. I traveld from the Goldcoast down to Sydney to be left out of pocket and with nothing to show for my efforts.

I won a car paid for it went down with my car trailer as usual to pickup and they refused to load citing rule changes ( rules changes that I was never sent an email about or stated on front gate or on their site ) to loading procedures saying they will only side load trucks and since car trailer have side rails it is impossible to load with causing damage,saying I need to hire a towtruck to pickup??? I have a legally registered car transporter trailer I was there with my trailer and they would not load or allow me to winch or load it myself,manager said there was an oversight and only businesses were notified of new rule/saftey changes an said to write a complaint to request a full refund its pretty straight forward so I did and PICKLES never responded back to me and made their decision to refuse to return my money saying it was not their fault and I should have followed their rules they blatenly stealing my money$2037.50 and its not their problem??? they are targetting trailers that are a legal form of transport I will be contacting the ACCC and seeking legal action this is disgracefull behavior and are now lying saying I said something I did not.here is the latest email that states they will not give my money back because I did not comply???.. the courts are going to have a field day with this basically fining me $2037.50 for them not informing all their clients of rule changes

they were sent a final notice as instructed and today is the day they were given 7/1/2025 and nothing so now will be taking legal action, they are just arrogant people who lie to protect one another ,wow just admit there was a failure to inform everyone and return my money instead of stealing it

Had some good experience with Pickles, by and large I find the online auctions to be honest and highlight any issues etc with vehicles I have bought. The only issue recently has been with them auctioning Jasmine caravans. I bought one for 33k on auction so about 38k with fees. Only to find out there was a kind of secret reserve and the seller wanted 41k so about 50k with fees. Which is not far off retail price. I suspect this is a retailer selling at auction so you end up paying near retail price but with no dealer warranty or back up. I feel this is a little disingenuous and pickles should advertise the 41k as a reserve. The same caravan went back up for sale and sold to someone else for the same price but is again up for sale, this is wasting everyone's time bidding when in reality unless you pay the 50k (with fees) as the reserve price you won't win the auction.

honest description of car I bought, good exchange deal,pleasent manner,was second car purchased from Ryan and I would not hesitate to buy another or recomend him.

Bought a car all was fine until I tried to Transfer the rego. Online portal asks for company's CIN I ask pickles for their CIN in the back and forth I was repeatedly given FALSE info.

They tried to tell me I needed my CIN even though it was a screen shot asking for SELLERS details.

Then I am told I can't do a Transfer online (I have sent many screens shot that prove otherwise.)

They refuse to even acknowledge my request for proof they obtained and sold the car legally.

Only to finally be told that they had submitted the Notice of Disposal. WHEN in fact had it actually been submitted the online form automatically skips seller info.

Absolute bull f ing shit. You sell cars enough you should know your f ing shit.

bought a used car(colorado) and was a bit concerned with spending such alot of money on a car i couldnt physically see, but every little scuff was on the condition report and everything listed was perfectly correct. picking up and paying was easy and the lady at the front desk was super friendly. i really dont have a bad thing to say, experience was great.

I waited 40 minutes in a queue while on the phone being reassured by a pickles staff member that I was in the right queue and then got told I had to do another loop around the whole venue and park and walk in.i then walked in and because I had sandals on they wouldn’t let me get my stuff out of my car which was 5 m away. A girl eventually came and got some rubbish out and when I asked her to check the boot she said she couldn’t. A whole lot of my tools were in the boot and along with that she refused to give me my Kleva car play screen (valued at $130) because it was plugged into the cigarette lighter. There were numerous other items in the glove box and other compartments that she just happened to forget to look in! When you refuse to give things back to people that own them that’s theft Pickles!!

Absolutely disgusted in this company. Car was a ride off, we rang to collect the number plate and bracelet that was left in the car when it was towed after the accident. When we were told both items were ready for collection, only the number plate was given to us. When asked about the bracelet, they said it was never found. All lies, someone had stolen the bracelet from Pickles collection. This bracelet had sentimental value to me and was very expensive. Have lodged a complaint and waiting for outcome.

When it arrived, it became immediately apparent that something was very wrong: a loud grinding noise under load and aggressive vibration through the cabin floor. The only way to stop auction houses like Pickles from continuing to sell potentially dangerous, defective, or deceptively marketed vehicles is to hold them accountable — publicly and legally.

Bottom line: Avoid Pickles Auctions unless you’re prepared to gamble thousands of dollars on a vehicle you can’t test, inspect, or trust.

Don't trust any car from Pickles unless you got a chance to inspect the car , their team never do a good mechanical inspection which is not even fulfill a roadworthy status. The motto, vision and mission of this organisation is just a gimmick where they never follow it. Beware!!

The customer service and problem solving i experienced when dealing with Brandon from Townsville was without doubt some of the best of my life. I have had dealings with all major automotive auction companies in Australia and can say the difference is chalk and cheese. Pickles can be trusted.

Easy buying process, Pickles were able to organise the transport for me of my heavy machine and payment was simple. Staff are available to contact on the phone if needed and there is adequate flexibility for pickup and delivery. Overall good and simple experience.

Terrible after-sale service. I was sold a vehicle advertised as unregistered, but no notice of disposal had been lodged by Pickles. I contacted Pickles about 8 times over the course of weeks about this, told them clearly what I needed (as advised by TfNSW and CTP providers) but they seemed more interested in arguing about it rather than lodging the appropriate paperwork. It was a month and a half after the sale before I could finally register it.

Why can't I rate zero stars?
I bought a lemon from pickles on 5 January 2025. It failed roadworthy. The mechanic wondered aloud how I didn't die driving the death trap to him. Extreme fire risk. Unsafe to drive.
The car had been leaking diesel for over two years, and the diesel had contaminated everything. Including the transmission. The car failed to reverse, failed to engage in drive. I found out the history of the car by calling the dealership who had serviced the car for 14 years. (VW Tuggeranong.)They confirmed the owner was well aware of the issues, had failed to fix anything, and driven it until it's death. And then sold it at auction.
Pickles claim they do not look at the cars they auction and profit from. The car was actively leaking when I picked it up, I noticed as soon as I parked it at home.

I asked picked for a refund. They took three days to return an answer: Pickles are not able to offer any form of a refund.

This was disappointing.
Moving forward, I needed to get another car. This meant I had to remove the death trap from my driveway (I live in a unit complex). I only have one parking space. I sold the car to a wrecker.

Over two weeks later from sending me an email stating that pickles would offer no refund, pickles call me. Now, they will refund me for the death trap, if I return the car. The car I just sold for scrap, at a loss of $3500.
I tell them I don't have the car so they rescind the refund offer.
Avoid pickles at all costs.

Great customer service, got my car for a great price and it works flawlessly. Love it.

Don't buy a Sprinter from these people. Don't believe speedo readings or their condition report. Dont buy a car from them that you have never seen on the basis of a pointless and useless condition report. You will only ever get meaningless, disingenuous responses from them.
