I had the pleasure of working with John and he went above and beyond in every way. He stayed on the phone with me for over an hour, patiently walking me through each step of updating my site and getting it live. Not only did he answer all of my questions thoroughly, but he made sure I truly understood the process so I could feel confident managing things moving forward. As someone balancing a very busy schedule as an LCSW and photographer, that level of support speaks volumes! John never rushed me, was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cared about making sure everything was set up the right way. THIS is what excellent customer service looks like. Stellar Service!!!

Wow! What can I say other than how stupendous and stellar my experience has been working with PhotoBiz and especially John K, Client Relationship Manager. John k is an absolute God-send for assisting with website building, invoices, tickets or whatever. No job is too big or small. I am fairly computer savvy but when John k worked with me on two website projects, he helped me all the way. I do apologize if I came across as remedial but I have learned so much working with John K as he always has a vision for my business even before I do. PhotoBiz is the best in the game and I plan to stay with them for years to come!

Amazing Customer Support!!!

The customer support from PhotoBiz is no less than amazing! I brought up a concern yesterday regarding the loading speed of my homepage, and PhotoBiz immediately addressed it.

I was not sure if my concern was trivial - like asking the dealer to make a 100 mph car go 105 mph. Nevertheless, PhotoBiz assigned an engineer to review my homepage (landing page) and optimize is it for mobile loading.

After reviewing my homepage, the support engineer sent me a detailed note indicating the former load times and then the load times after he made some modifications to the design of my homepage. The results were incredible!

I was then sent a calendar link to review the changes with the engineer. We had the call, and he explained the rationale for his changes. After a few additional minor tweaks, I approved the updated homepage to go live.

Most importantly, I felt like Photobiz listened to my concern - even if I wasn't sure if it was a serious issue. As a photographer, I am not familiar with web design and the loading metrics for mobile devices. I rely on Photobiz to make sure my website is running properly. They did a fantastic job!

If you are a photographer, I highly recommend Photobiz to host your website. Most importantly as you revise your copy, branding, images, etc., you can make those changes yourself. If you need more help, you can engage Photobiz for a design consultation for a minimal investment.

Great company! Thanks again Photobiz.

Photobiz: A Key Partner in my Photography Business

In today's ever-growing technology landscape, a photographer's website serves as their digital business card. As I work to expand my business as a corporate event photographer in the Washington, DC area (and beyond), I am excited to share my site with future clients -- CEOs, marketing and, communications leaders, and top event planners.

From the get-go, I felt I struck a very positive chord with Jeffrey, my project manager. I felt he understood what I was looking for, and I felt very comfortable working with him. I would strongly encourage any photographer looking to create their own website (no matter what specific area/niche), to work with Jeffrey and his team. Jeffrey and his team will not disappoint.

Given the clients I'm trying to secure as I build my business, I owe Photobiz a great deal of gratitude.

Far superior to jokes like GoDaddy

Getting away from GoDaddy and signing up with PhotoBiz has been one of the best choices I've made in management for a catering company. With over $1mil in annual sales, the site we had was not doing us justice. GoDaddy did absolutely NOTHING for us compared to what PhotoBiz has and continues to do. Being able to make changes to our website with PhotoBiz has been a breeze. Even my "not tech savvy" team members can use it!

Their team support, and endless website templates have helped me to build my business and create an online presence that I could never have done by myself. Continued Creative Help & Support is Amazing

John and the PhotoBiz programming team continue to be amazing and helpful more than I could have anticipated. As we finalize the design and functionality of the website, new questions came up and John offered thoughtful and creative solutions to help. And even though I haven't met the tech team, their behind the scenes tweaking of custom features is going very smoothly and very appreciated! I'm SO glad I chose PhotoBiz to be my website partner :-)!

Unprofessional billing practices and zero accountability

I’ve never used PhotoBiz beyond the free trial, yet they’ve continued charging me $29 a month even after I cancelled twice — once in February 2024 and again in January 2025. Both times I had to call since online cancellation wasn’t an option, and both times I was told my account was cancelled.

Despite that, they kept billing me — even on a card that expired in November 2024, which raises serious concerns about how they store and process payment information. When I reached out again, they finally confirmed on 10/17/25 that they had processed my cancellation and said I would receive an email confirming it.

It’s now 10/20/25, and I still haven’t received that confirmation email. This is the THIRD time I've been told I would receive something that I have not. They also haven’t confirmed that my billing information has been removed from their system, nor have they mentioned anything about processing my refund.

Maybe if this can escalate beyond those I’ve already spoken to and land in the hands of someone who will actually do something — and if they can provide the three simple things I’ve repeatedly asked for (confirmation of cancellation, removal of my banking info, and a refund) — I’ll revise my review.

Until then, my experience and opinion of this company remain exactly as written.

I initially signed up for their We Build It website and quickly learned that this service is a delight; however, the actual SEO optimization on the back end is subpar. The platform's capabilities are limited, and the SEO optimization is relatively simple and not completed in the way it should be for an initial website buildout. There was a significant amount of attention required due to inaccuracies in my company name, which I had to correct personally.

The interesting thing I learned was that no discussion or hand-off communication was provided, stating that here’s how to run your site, we have wrapped up our services, and if you need anything else, here are the appropriate channels to communicate. There was no opportunity to have a conversation for feedback other than the limited emailing that was done. It would have been a joy to speak with Jeff through an official handoff and an excellent opportunity to upsell me to the additional SEO service opportunity based upon my requests. There was zero communication of how to make this transition work or referral off to the SEO team within PhotoBiz even for an additional month of service to fix up the mishaps or to fulfill the requests that I was asking for. I would have GLADLY paid the additional fees if that’s what it would have taken to fix the issues/concerns that were not addressed upon the initial build out.

So through this debacle, I’m emailing Jeff, who is the only manager for this department, fails to respond to emails after sending more complex questions. I had been working with an SEO company for two years before I was introduced to PhotoBiz, and they had previously helped my site flow smoothly, achieving high visibility and excellent ratings.

The old site needed attention, but a revamp through PhotoBiz was the solution that came to mind. The sales department is excellent at PhotoBiz, but the execution of the final delivery is not what sales says. The customer service representative is fantastic to work with when you call - I can’t share names on TrustPilot.

I wanted to connect with a higher-level manager to discuss my concerns that had been continuously ignored. Things that should have been addressed in the initial build-out. After weeks of dead ends and further digging, I resorted to using LinkedIn to find the owner, as nobody would release this information. An excellent opportunity to hear out a customer and upsell the chance of additional services if that’s what it takes, based on their response to my initial review.

I received an unprofessional email with multiple fonts and misspellings, as well as outrageous fees for what appears to be a platform bug. Still, she wanted nothing to do with my communication or hear about the issues I’m experiencing. According to the owner, the web developer's hourly rate is $1,000.

I recommend other platforms long before even considering PhotoBiz.

There are some perks, but the unprofessionalism from the owner of this company and the project manager, Jeffrey P., with the failed delivery of some concerns and issues, was not expected or planned.

You enrolled in our We Build It For You (WBIFY) service, which includes a professionally built website and basic SEO implementation (metadata and content setup)—not advanced SEO strategy, audits, or platform-level customizations. Those requests, which came after your project was completed, fall under our SEO GO or consulting services, which were clearly offered to you and declined on your part.

Despite that, our team went well beyond the scope of your original purchase. We answered multiple technical questions, explained how our platform architecture handles SEO, provided documentation, and guided you through next steps. Your claim that there was “no communication” or that you were “stonewalled” is simply false. You were responded to, repeatedly—and professionally.

Your assumption that we failed to “upsell” you into an SEO plan is misleading. You were informed—more than once—that additional work required enrolling in our paid SEO services. Suggesting we failed to present that option while simultaneously rejecting it is contradictory.

You also characterize our response as “unprofessional” based on formatting and pricing—yet what you call “outrageous fees” were quoted for developer-level work, far beyond what your service includes. Just like any specialized platform, custom code or structural changes carry a premium rate, and our communication made that clear.

It’s also worth noting that your criticisms rely heavily on input from a third-party SEO agency—one whose business model is built on discrediting other platforms in order to upsell their own services. We addressed those critiques directly, but we are not in the business of refuting competitors’ sales tactics at our expense.

Our team handled your requests with professionalism and patience, despite your repeated escalation and refusal to accept reasonable boundaries around what was purchased and delivered.

We take pride in the service we offer, our transparency, and the results we deliver for thousands of creative professionals. While your experience reflects frustration, it does not reflect the facts.

I'm quitting Photobiz after giving them so many chances. As someone with website development experience, I know how much effort and time it takes to design a website. I opted for Photobiz because of how simple it was to create a professional looking site. However, that's the only positive. Every time I have reached out to customer service with my issues, it's just straight up gaslighting, corporate sass, and refusing to take accountability. You have to pay an additional $10 to send a file over 4 MB (Shootproof would never) and you can't replace a file with an edited photo to deliver to your client (Again, Shootproof would never). I have different pricelists for different events, and for SOME REASON, clients are able to order from different pricelists regardless of which one I have assigned to a gallery. I have had to cancel multiple orders and it's reflecting terribly on my business. The ordering process is ridiculously complicated and not user-friendly, which is very important if you're selling to different age groups. I can't wait to go back to Shootproof. I've had enough.

We always strive to resolve issues, and if any of your support interactions didn’t come across as helpful, that’s certainly not our intent. Regarding the additional fee for larger files (up to 50MB), this covers increased storage and delivery costs, but we understand that different platforms approach this differently. It’s also worth noting that our $29/month plan includes a website, client galleries, and studio management tools—features that other platforms may not offer together at that price point.

As for the pricing list issue, clients should only be able to order from the price list assigned to their gallery. If that’s not happening, there may have been an issue with the price list setup, such as the incorrect price list being assigned. We’d be happy to help troubleshoot this if you’d like.

10 years of wasted money time and time again

Today, I'm quitting ten years of Photobiz. What a waste. They have wasted so much of my income on stupid mistakes their staff keeps making, over and over. The email blasts don't work and are a waste as well. Had to hire MailChimp to finally send out emails. Photobiz lies about their services and blames its clients when they f up.

I have been using PhotoBiz for nearly 7 years, and it has truly been a dream platform for me. I can sell and show my work easily, and selling digital images in private galleries has been a must for my clients. It's better than my time at Squarespace or Zenfolio.

The PhotoBiz support team rock!

The PhotoBiz website builder is fantastic, and not to be rivalled for ease of use. I have two website with PhotoBiz, one a portfolio site and the other an e-commerce. I am incredibly happy with the capabilities of the sites and more than anything, the PhotoBiz help and support is brilliant. The support team respond quickly by email, they eagerly call you back to help over the phone, and they always find a way to solve any challenges. I’m from the UK and they still happily call me back and talk at length about my website. I couldn’t rate them any higher. True story!!

The worst customer service on the…

The worst customer service on the planet.
The way they do business is bait & switch and they don’t stand behind their products. You’d think with the proofing feature shown on their pricing breakdown, you’d be able to upload client galleries like normal, right? Nope! You have to pay to upgrade to have the ability to upload full sized photos. Which they conveniently don’t tell you until you’ve already paid for the service for a year and it’s an extra $120 to upgrade. Okay, whatever- I bit the bullet and upgraded because I wanted my business on one platform. After upgrading, I tried to upload my first gallery and half of the photos didn’t upload at all. That’s when I discovered you have to export them under 25MB. So now it’s an extra step in my editing workflow to be able to use their proofing galleries. Fine. I learn how to do that and start saving my photos that way. 2 months later, I have another gallery to upload that is only 91 files. No big deal- all saved under 25MB. I send them all to upload- two hours later and half of the photos have upload errors. It cannot handle a small gallery. And it wasn’t my network connection, either- I uploaded the exact same gallery to pixieset in under 2 minutes with 0 issues.
I reach out to customer service because at this point, the proofing functionality is unusable to me. Can you imagine trying to upload a wedding gallery with those kinds of issues? All I wanted was a refund for the full resolution upgrade since I clearly wasn’t going to be able to use it- and they are unwilling to stand behind their product and would not issue a refund. So I cancelled my subscription. I figure it just won’t renew next year and that will give me time to switch over- because I’ve paid for a full year in advance, right? NOPE. I now have no access to any of my recent contracts, NOTHING. WORST COMPANY EVER, BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE.

This company is super shady

This company is super shady. They spend massive amount of times saying they are building a website when actually all they are doing is dropping your images in a pre-created template. I suggest using any other company because they will charge you for every add on. Plus they say you may cancel your contract within 60 days, but you will not receive a full refund. If they offered a great product then they would have no issues standing behind products and giving you a full refund. I had my service for less then 2 weeks and I had to fix and do most of the work. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.
