Absolutely amazing service, from trying a big bike to getting my full motorbike licence, the instructor (will) was very helpful in explaining how or what was needed to pass each MOD's. Looking forward to returning to advance my riding skills

I completed my CBT, Module 1 and Module 2 training and tests through Phoenix Motorcycle Training at their Bristol and Bath locations, all within just over a month.

The instructors were professional, patient, and reassuring throughout, making the whole process far less stressful than I expected. They created a relaxed atmosphere, kept things enjoyable, and always took the time to explain things clearly.

The training bikes were all well-maintained and in excellent condition, which gave me confidence throughout the training and tests.

I have no hesitation in recommending Phoenix Motorcycle Training to anyone looking to obtain their motorcycle licence. A great team, excellent training, and an enjoyable experience from start to finish.

Great instructors and very supportive and helpful

The staff were absolutely amazing and really helpful, I had about a month left on my theory test and my CBT and these guys booked me in and got me a pass! Sean especially was amazing really fun guy to ride with and learn from, not as scary as he looks, especially when his beard gets parted by the wind! Really easy going really kind staff and 100% will be returning to do my A license and have already recommended to someone I know wants to get his license.

Excellent CBT experience. I'd never ridden a manual bike before despite having automatic experience. Andy and Jorge were patient, reassuring, supportive and gave me the time and confidence to make mistakes and learn without any pressure. The other reviews speak for themselves and we're why I chose Phoenix, but I can't testify enough about the quality of the whole day with phoenix, and now I'm a proud CBT accredited rider. Thanks Andy and Jorge. Also, my bike had 2 miles on when I started so faultless kit.

From the word go, I was made to feel at ease for both my mod1 and mod2 training. Will and Sean were really positive and laid back. They were really great instructors, picking up on areas of improvement and providing the guidance to make that improvement. When it came to the tests, I was so well prepared that it felt really straightforward. Thanks guys!

It's was a great day, Andrew & Jorge were very professional and very informative. It was a very hot day and they made sure that everyone was having plenty of water. CBT done now moving on.

I had the best experience with Phoenix. Will and his mates at the school are approachable and brilliant teachers. They got me through my Mod 1 and Mod 2 pretty easily and I’m a terrible overthinker. Fantastic is the only word I can use to describe them

Had a great time training with Will and Sean, came away feeling very confident for the tests and passed first time.

Patient and helpful staff. Detailed instructions and made the mood very relaxed and easy during the CBT on-road riding segments.

Really recommend doing your CBT at the Bristol one with Jorge, he is an excellent instructor, very clear with instructions and helpful if things go wrong out on the road. I had never ridden on the road before and he made it feel safer and less scary than I thought it would be. Will be coming back here for my full license soon!

Friendly and respectful people always

Living in Bristol can be tiring at times, especially when commuting by car every day. Ever since I was young, I’ve had a passion for two‑wheeled riding—from small pushbikes to mountain bikes and any electric bike I could try. When I was around 20, one of my neighbours owned a red Aprilia Leonardo 125cc, almost new and freshly brought over from Italy. He let me take it for a short ride, and from that moment, I’ve dreamed of getting back on two wheels. After more than twenty years of thinking about it, researching motorcycle schools in Bristol, and reading countless reviews, I finally decided to give it a try.

For my “Try a Bike” session, I was introduced to my instructor, Andrew. In just one hour, he walked me through key elements of the CBT, even letting me practise some of the exercises. His calm approach, patience, and willingness to repeat instructions made a huge difference for a complete beginner like me. He created an environment where I felt comfortable, supported, and confident that I could eventually pass the CBT. He also provided all the information I needed to return and continue my training.

Less than a month after that first session, I returned—this time with a new helmet and fully prepared to complete my CBT. During the training, we were joined by another instructor, Jorge, who brought a great balance of professionalism and humour. He kept the atmosphere light with appropriate jokes, asked questions throughout the session to ensure we were paying attention, and made the learning process engaging rather than overwhelming. After completing the classroom and off‑road elements, we were ready for the road ride.

I was fortunate to complete my road ride on a bright, sunny day, navigating Bristol during the busy rush hour. The experience boosted my confidence and helped me understand how the skills we practised applied in real traffic. Andrew accompanied our group throughout the entire ride, ensuring we were safe, guiding us through each section, and having us repeat any manoeuvre that needed improvement. His patience and commitment to doing things properly made a huge difference. I never felt rushed or pressured—only supported.

I’m genuinely grateful to have had such dedicated instructors. Andrew’s patience and steady guidance made the entire experience feel safe and manageable, even when I needed extra practice. He never rushed me and always ensured I understood each step before moving on. Thanks to both Andrew and Jorge, I left the course feeling confident, motivated, and excited to continue my journey toward a full A licence. I fully intend to return to Phoenix Motorcycle Training as soon as I’m able to take the next step.

The whole experience is phenomenal! The instructors Craig and Will are absolute rock stars ✨ They are great professionals: make you feel confident, they point what you should improve but also cheer your achievements and, above all, they make the whole atmosphere 100% comfortable and fun. Definitely the best place to learn how to ride a motorcycle for the first time.
