I went in a day before taking my dog just to find out about their services the costs. I was disappointed once I brought her to find out that she only had an hour of play with other dogs and that had to be paid for separately because it was represented very differently to me at the beginning.

Also I was told that she could see the vet the day that I brought her in but she wasn’t seen that day nor the next day and not until about 3 o’clock on the third day all of which time she was kept from any other dog contact. I had been assured after she had not been seeing the first two days that she would be the first dog that the vet would see on the morning of the third day yet she wasn’t seen for almost 8 hours after the day began on the third day.
The rooms are just cinderblocks there’s not much of anything in it and my dog is used to and likes a lot of people and dog interaction. Needless to say I won’t be taking her back.

We have been taking our dog to day camp about once a week since they opened in Georgetown. We we so happy for about a year and a half. In March/April things began to change. Instead of my dog getting to play with friends in Tiny Town all day, she was spending more and more time in a kennel. It was not just my dog but all the Tiny Town dogs. Very sad and what a waste of money. I bring my dog to play with other dogs. Not to sit in a kennel. At our home, she has access to our entire home and shaded backyard. Why pay someone to just put her in a kennel. One day in April, she sat in a kennel for over 6 hours. We know this because we watched on the camera. When we picked her up we were told they were short staffed. This is not a reasonable excuse. We pay for the dogs to play. The manger did apologize but we found we were paying too much for her to sit alone in a kennel. We stopped taking her for several months. We decided to try again today. Hoping for improvement. This was not the case. Again she and the other small dogs spent too much of the day in kennels. We had our dog picked up after about 4 hours due to the amount of time she was kenneled. They still charged for a full day. What a rip off. They kennel your dog and want to still charge for a full day of daycare. What a joke! When she was picked up it was excuse after excuse. Wished it was still being managed the way it was when they opened. It was great then but not now!! Will not be going back!

Please avoid. Our pet, Cody, has visited Pet Paradise Charlotte (PP) several times before his last two horrific visits. We have boarded with PP since 2018. Be warned, he has returned home sick TWICE from his last two stays. Once with HGE (hemorrhagic gastroenteritis), a serious illness caused by dangerous bacteria in the intestines. Having had no other prior issues with boarding at PP, it was not fair for me to assume his HGE was picked up at PP (although he was dropped off there healthy).

We picked Cody up from PP after a short weekend stay & drove to the mountains. He had diarrhea in his car seat on the way up & was panting non-stop. We figured it could be stress-related from being away from us. But later that night everything changed. Vomiting & diarrhea continued into the next day. And then the bloody diarrhea started. We panicked, found a vet in Boone, & visited immediately. He was severely dehydrated, given IV meds, & we were told "he will either get past the HGE, or he won't". That the next couple of days were critical and he survived.

Fast forward several months. We aired on giving PP the benefit of the doubt & were so incredibly stupid to do so. We were leaving the country for over a week & our regular pet sitter was unavailable over Labor Day weekend but said she could pick him up from PP on Sunday. Cody spent there a total of 3-nights there. She picked him up & it was almost an exact REPEAT OF OUR LAST EXPERIENCE. He started vomiting, panting, & had diarrhea almost immediately after he was picked up. We were out of the country & she was panicked as to what to do. His regular vet was closed on the Monday holiday. I called PP for two reasons; 1) to let them know our pup was sick again with what seemed like another case of HGE, & 2) what were they going to do about since I was calling from 6 time-zones away, my pet sitter was panicked, his regular vet was closed -&- if they could help me remedy the situation from afar that they had caused from apparent unsanitary conditions. I spoke with Sarah (one of many staffers I spoke with over several days), but I first emailed Eddie, the GM (who never responded after asking for him to call me by email & phone several times). Sarah was nice, said she wanted to help, & mentioned they had an onsite vet working over Labor Day. She said she would setup the appointment with our dog sitter. I was grateful. He was seen, given meds, was dehydrated, & sent home. The vet or vet tech told our dog sitter "that he got into something or ate something at PP that he wasn't supposed to". 2 sleepless nights & 3 days of diarrhea, constant check-ins with the pet sitter from 6 time zones away, & he got better. Thank goodness.

To add insult to injury, PP not only charged me (again) ~$200.00 for a stay but ~$300.00 for a vet visit! When Sarah said, "they wanted to help". He got sick there & they should be responsible for his treatment the SECOND TIME! I tried to call them from France, I spoke with several employees, received broken promises of return calls & now, silence. I would really like to understand the number of animals in their care that have returned home sick, or later died, from their neglect. I plan to contact Axios & the local news bureaus to make them aware of my experiences because others may have shared with them similar experiences. I do not want another pet parent who loves their animals like their own children to risk a stay at this place.

I did receive a call from the onsite vet to ask how Cody was recovering. I told her, like I told the others, that I was really concerned with how we were being treated by PP about the entire situration. She listened to me & then shockingly said "that Cody got sick because he is an old dog & not a candidate for boarding". That's it. Completely different than what was told to my dog sitter when he was seen there a couple of days prior.

Stay away, please. We got lucky twice & I'm thankful. The areas we can't see past the lobby drop off area must be unclean & the animals neglected by staff. The whole situation is tragic.

Staff did not look after my dog's wellbeing. From them breaking my dog's head harness to giving us wrong information about check out and trying to keep them over night, all the way to double checking the phone number on file to ensure that they can reach me in case of an emergency. They had wrong information on file that could have made my dog very sick. Long story extremely short, I do not trust this staff with looking after my dogs in the slightest.

We love the staff at pet paradise in wilmington. This weekend we are traveling out of town and needed help with a special reservation. Antionette at the Matthews NC location was extremely informative, kind, and overall gave exceptional customer service experience.

I believe my kitty loved this place, she didn’t want to leave and the personal loved her. They were so nice and kind to us. Every morning when I woke up I used to check the webcam; the first two days I feel like she was a little shy but then she was having it, she also loves to be around people. She was there for 9 days and she is sooo healthy. I really recommend this place the only bad thing was that the sound of the webcam wasn’t working but that isn’t really a problem to me. Thanks for giving my daughter, Saphyra, a good experience <3

I loved PetParadise until they tagged my dog as too Rough to play with other dogs. they never told me this until 3 visits later I asked why I didn't see my dog playing in the pool or playing with other dogs. and now he's been tagged as not being able to play with other dogs and he just stays in his kennel and then taken out to play with an attendant. Not happy at all as I only take him there so he gets playtime and come home tired. Sad!!!!

The evening of 8/15/22 (5 PM), there was only one staff person working the front desk to assist with checking dogs out (including payment and retrieving the dogs). There were other staff members in the office area who could have assisted "fetching" the dogs. The line grew to 6 owners waiting to pick up their dogs. The pick-up time was averaging 30 minutes. On the AM of 8/16 while dropping off, there were 20 (counted multiple times) dogs lined up inside and down the sidewalk to be checked in. For at least 15 minutes of my wait, only one staff person who walked slowly (several owners were commenting) and would stop to tidy up the desk, etc. before checking in the next owner. She was polite, but had no urgency that the line was backed up and majority of the owners had to be at work. Another staff member finally came to assist, but the check-in time was 30 minutes, we were dog # 8 of 20 in the line. Again, there were staff members not in the dog area observing dogs who could have helped with the morning rush. I have always loved the staff and the clean facility, but the lack of organization and the significant delays have led me to no longer use Pet Paradise. We routinely use the Greenville location for day camp/grooming of 2 dogs, vet services, and boarding. We have been frequent customers since you opened. We understand the staffing challenges everywhere, but the ongoing lack of organization/efficiency to balance the staffing shortage is creating a significant dissatisfaction with this location.

I have boarded my pets all my life when on vacation. This was our first time using Pet Paradise in Newberry.

At pick up the dogs were to be bathed. They smell of urine and need to be re-groomed. And to make matters worse - my dog came home with kennel cough, had to take her to the vet and purchase meds today at an additional $115.

Upon speaking with a manager they offered a free night. How about 2 free groomings, a vet visit and comp the antibiotics?

My only complaint is how difficult/impossible it is to access the play yard cameras. We like to check on him and watch him play so it would be helpful if that was made easier again.

As I was picking up my baby for the first time a customer that was,there picking up their dog bit me on back, of my leg . Ugh
Painful.
Paradise i think y’all should give me some type of day care compensation .

This was our last try at Pet Paradise. They do NOT train their staff so their go to discipline method is putting the dogs in time out in a kennel for 30 minutes. If you bring a lunch, they are in a kennel for a good 1.5 hours, and that's if they remember to go back and get them out. The employees are on their phones for most of the day and have no idea what is going on. If your dog is young and likes to play, this is not the place for them. The employees don't want to be bothered with the dogs as they make up stories to tell management, so they don't look bad when you call (that's if someone answers the phone) and asks why your dog is not on camera anywhere. This could be a great daycare, but it needs to find new management that is for the customer and loves animals, and is willing to train their employees properly.

Very very disappointed. I set up an appointment for my cat's grooming which is clearly stated online at the location I chose. Received a conformation call day before my appointment that if I am still on sechdule. When I arrived at sechduled time I was told that they don't groom cats because groomer is highly allergic of cats. I told them I booked an appointment online and received a conformation call that if I am bringing my cat and I said YES.
Why would you have a groomer at a pet place who is allergic. When I mentioned that then you shouldn't have an option for cat's online if that is the case and I was told there is no way to block that option.. are you serious?
It's like you going to a steak house and then told we only serve fish.

This was the first time we boarded our pet Barrett. The experience for us was great. Check in was easy and Barrett was ready for fun. We were hesitant as he has never been away from us. When we picked him up Barrett was happy and ready to play some more.

I just dropped off my Goldendoodle for the first time boarding. We booked the indoor/outdoor suite so that he can have a little more freedom to visit the play area. About 20 min after drop off, we received a text confirming his check in to the indoor suite. I called inquiring about the incorrect room, and was told that “he didn’t get what you reserved because they were booked.” (Even though I had the confirmation email.) I also found out later on, that he will not get any playtime because it rained. The weather was just fine and there were no dogs in sight. 4pm and they were all locked away for the night. Not to mention- they apparently don’t have a phone. I’d been on hold for over 20 minutes just to get to the call center just so that they can call the location and wait another 20 minutes. After this 3 hour nightmare, I called my sister to pick him up since we were already on our way to vacation. Come to find out, their a/c unit had went out in the wing where my dog was going to stay. And instead of keeping him in a VIP suite, they downgraded his room without informing me and giving me the option to upgrade. They were not going to tell me. When my sister picked him up, he was so excited to see her. He was full of energy. They just locked him into his room as soon as we dropped him off. They’re full of crap. He didn’t get ANY playtime. Thankfully I had someone that could speak on his behalf. The last thing I need is for my puppy to be traumatized of boarding.

When my and my family returned from our trip and pick up .,
I WAS REALLY TERRORIZED ABOUT THE WAY MY PET WAS RETURNING HOME
He’s ribs were showing up and he was 8 to 10 pounds skinnier then normal
When I ask what happen they never give me a reasonable answer.,
I know some times pet have hard time and maybe Miss us.,and may be they don’t eat the same way .,
Last weekend I left my pet AGAIN on the (Exelent place) after the week end concluded I pick up my pet and as usual I always ask how he behaved and if he eat .,
When they bring my pet back he look skinny AGAIN and when they went to check on the chart of the suite they give me the food back the same food I give them to feed my pet .,I CANNOT BELIEVE IT!!
So I ask do you feet he at all and all they said to me is NO WE DONT KNOW WHAT TO GIVE HEM OR THE AMOUNT
When I left really simple instructions to feet hem
One can of wet ., one individual bag of dry food
(That I separated)
Is a shame that the new stuff is really unprofessional and ruining pet paradise reputation
I will never take my pet back to that place AGAIN EVER !!!!!!!!

I brought my Bichon Frise in for a grooming session at the Pet Paradise JAX Airport location. She was dropped off at 10:00am and by 2:00pm I still had received a call that she was ready for pick up. I finally called and was told that she would be the next dog for grooming. At 3:15 I received a call that she was ready for pick-up. I carefully filled out the questionnaire about the cut I wanted her to have (please note: my dog is ten years old and has been groomed regularly for ten years). I have never had to complete a form describing a basic puppy cut with teddy bear head. Needless to say when I picked her up she looked like a shelter dog with a bad cut. I will never take my do back to this location for any service.

Hi. We absolutely love Pet Paradise! We’ve taken our cats there for years! It’s a home away from home for our cats and we feel so comfortable leaving them there. The only thing is I’m still in shell shock from the latest bill. We actually paid more for them than for us at a people hotel with the holiday rates and additional fees. I took my veteran husband on a weekend getaway, and thought there was a discount. But came back to double what we’ve always paid. I don’t know if we can ever afford to bring our cats back, but we have nothing but good thoughts about Pet Paradise.

3 grooming appointments made, and 3 grooming appointments not honored by Pet Paradise. I understand that things happen, but 3 times?!? Disappointed. Looking for reputable and reliable services for grooming, boarding, and puppy play dates.
