BEWARE! I booked a villa for a family vacation 7 months in advance and put down a deposit. 3 days later I had to modify and change the booking for personal reasons. 16 days later I received no solution to my problem. I emailed multiple times and called. They offered to change the dates of my trip and offered a more expensive condo as a solution. I have 3 kids, a condo is not going to work. I asked for a refund and still no response.

Frustrated because I had not heard anything from Personal Villas, I filed a dispute with my credit card company and within an hour finally received a call from Robert with Personal Villas. I thought...finally I can talk to someone about the issue and we can get this resolved.

Robert made it very clear he had no intention of even hearing my issues or trying to come to a solution to the problem. He told me his main goal was to get me to admit I signed the agreement and policy on a recorded line. Isn't it illegal to record someone on the phone without disclosing it first? He then argued with me for about 30 minutes and told me there was nothing they could do. So they just get to keep my $4,000 even though I cannot use the villa? I understand the policy but I thought the company would actually care and help me out and not take my money just to have it.

Do not use this company! They do not know what customer service is and do not care about their clients.... their only concern is about the money.

In 2020, my family had to cancel our vacation to St. Martin because of covid. Robert Cracknell of Personal Villas worked with us to reschedule our trip to 2022. He responded to all our emails and was so cooperative. The property we wanted to visit wound up in a long term rental and Robert kindly offered us a credit or a refund. We opted for the refund and the money was returned within 24 hours. We will definitely be using Personal Villas in the future. Outstanding customer service!

Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation at the High Trees Villa. It was the best vacation that my family and I ever had. I did that get a vacation last week because of the pandemic but was determined to have one this year. Everything was so perfect. 7 of us stayed from July 11 to 17. The cook and housekeeper were amazing. So attentive and caring. Meals cooked according to preference and place always clean. My mother in law is from Barbsdos and kept praising the Villa and staff. She was impressed with everything. We also appreciated the pre arrival tips and booking fast pass type service and covid test at Villa. Your staff made everything seamless. Mulling Beach was only a few houses away and was great. My 10 year old also swam in pool everyday. Thank you for a wonderful vacation

Amazing service, always professional and courteous.

This was a fantastic vacation! The house was frankly, unbelievable...immaculate, spacious, beautiful, and so well-equipped. And on top of this, the concierge service provided, airport transfers, pre-stocked groceries, and daily on site maid service. This was one of the best experiences we have ever had!

My family and I booked with Personal Villas recently and had the most wonderful experience! Everything was so easy, from communication, finding multiple houses that suited our needs, setting up anything we needed beforehand not to mention traveling during covid. Robert was such a pleasure to work with and always so responsive! My family and I have used numerous other villa companies and Personal Villas was by far the best we have ever dealt with! Similar to another reviewer, we had booked a once in a lifetime family retreat at Villa Ventanas al Mar, PV Mexico. On Friday before the Monday we were flying down, our COVID restrictions were imposed and we had to very sadly postpone the trip. I immediately reached out to Robert, who was quick to assure us, in light of everything being imposed, we could re-schedule. This was a great relief and softened the huge disappointment of not going away. We rebooked for Mar 2021 and have just made the sad decision to cancel that also, being our personal circumstances have changed and restrictions look to be increasing, not lightening. Robert again proved to be very accommodating and has issued us a refund. We will definitely being re-booking with Personal Villas as soon as we know we can vacation again. I am skeptical about some promises seen online today, but not Personal Villas, I can attest they are very legitimate in their claims and recommend their services to anyone wanting a 'worry free' experience.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Condo Clavel! Robert was easy to work with and the Concierge service helped us book or organize anything we desired. The villa was immaculate and the daily maid service was so nice. We hung on the deck or at the pool for many hours each day. It was a fantastic escape. The community is absolutely safe and everyone was so kind. We'll be back!

My family and I had an excellent stay in a beautiful villa. I would like to personally thank Robert for taking care of any problems that came up and being a great and knowledgeable resource.

We stayed at Coral Cove 6 in Barbados for three weeks in February / March of 2020. The apartment was great; in a good location and well furnished with easy access to a great beach. The staff were very helpful - notably the Security Guards who were happy to park our car; arrange taxis and help us with groceries.

The one drawback was the noise from the road outside and the numerous party boats that anchored off the beach every day.

I’ve had the occasion to use Personal Villas twice in the past year for two different rentals in St. Martin and Sint Maarten, both exceptional. Robert’s managing of all of our needs in St. Martin last year made everything from airport transfers to grocery stocking seamless. We were so impressed we immediately reached out to have Robert source another villa in Sint Maarten for this year. Robert made all the same arrangements plus sourced paddleboard rentals...then Covid-19 became an issue. When we eventually admitted we had to cancel or risk not getting back to Canada due to government/airline restrictions, Robert and Personal Villas turned our disappointment into relief offering to credit our 11 night villa stay to another trip when the world gets back to normal. Unbelievable! This show of goodwill will be front of mind as we make trips in the decades to come...Personal Villas, and Robert, thank you...we’ll be back!
