After seeing this page for this institution called PC Financial and applying for a product on 19 January and immediately having it closed apparently on 21 January as per "Executive Customer Care" based on "Bank policy" and "section 4.1 of cardholder agreement"; which state in summary that they can close it without giving any reason.
Strangely enough, on 19 January after a few hours of application and spoken to regular Customer Care they mentioned i was accepted and seemed happy genuinely then over phone to have me as client, not to mention that i even received the product credit card along with its T&Cs in my mail on 29 January and when i tried to activate it then it didn't work.
Also to note considerably is that when i applied and they checked my report on TransUnion only (not on Equifax which i have a Good score here) or the details i entered when i applied is all in good standing, my other credit card with another provider is always paid on time and looks good so there shouldn't have been any risk upon their calculations.
Yet, in the end I got rejected based on this "mistake" as they mentioned over phone and on the "section 4.1 of cardholder agreement" and "bank policy" vague terms.
I was wondering why was i and still am honest and truthful when I apply and even get accepted so that apparently 2 days later get rejected as they "re reviewed it" but me still getting card a few more days later and emails to activate the card when their Executive Customer Care treat customers that would've been new like trash although they're in good standing and honest? The above rejection says to me (since i was honest and NOT suspicious to anyone else and was truthful so far here) that they are either being picky on customers based on biased and unfair decision making processes. You can't use vague terms like that if there's nothing suspicious or wrong and close someone's account as you feel like it after you given them "hope" by sending them the card and confirmation emails.
This is a whole new level of mockery.
I would star them below 0 stars if I could for this indirect (and seemingly very "respectful"), biased treatment i received.
Stay clear from this credit card
Stay clear from this credit card! They are determined to ruin your credit score. First, they reduced my credit card amount for no reason, all payments were made on time and over the min amount. Then awhile later they went on a payment program, and my min payment went from $16 to $216 on a balance for $600. Then they had the nerve to put a late payment on my credit report when the program already made the payment. Good riddance to a terrible company!!

Phoning customer service took me an hour to wait over the phone. This is the worst I have ever experienced. How I wish they can improve their customer service.
PC Financial has horrible customer…
PC Financial has horrible customer service, and they have very long wait times when calling in. They don't respond to emails, including complaints. PC Financial is extremely unprofessional, and they clearly don't care. I closed my money account because of these clowns. Their app is very slow and full of error messages. Honestly, it's not worth it. Loblaw is a disgusting company, and I highly recommend you avoid them, including PC Optimum as they are known for scamming people out of points.
Virtual banking is NOT for me
I was originally enticed by the no-fee incentive and the additional Optimum points. But when fraudulent charges kept showing up on my credit card, PCF advised me to cancel my card. They issued me a new card, which IMMEDIATELY had a fraudulent charge on it, before I had even activated it! Add to this the long wait times which are a regular thing... I have transferred my accounts to TD, brick & mortar is always preferable when you have a dispute.
Bad offerings
Was pressured in a grocery store to sign up and then never got my welcome bonus. They also don’t let you redeem points towards a balance unless you have a statement that shows owing. Also can’t redeem for anything of significance at their partnered gas stations.

What a nightmare company to deal…
What a nightmare company to deal with!!! It took several attempts to get this card due to the glitches in their on line application, which continually told me my personal info is incorrect. I finally receive the card and cannot activate it due to the same glitches. So I cut it up and write a bad review. Next month I get a bill for under 2 dollars. Calling and waiting on hold for over an hour multiple times didn't pan out so I wrote a letter. A customer service rep called me and said they would close the account as soon as I paid the balance. I didn't even activate the card and already it was hacked! He eventually agreed to close the account. A month later I get another bill for the same transaction. Now my credit rating is at risk because of PCs incompetence! I strongly recommend people do NOT get this card

Absolutely the worst costumer service, if everything is going well, you are ok, but if you will have problem, you won't be able to talk to human representative from costumer service.

Absolutely worst customer service, my etransfer is stuck since 4 days, their email support says to call, and call wait times never end. If you need to call be prepared for at least an hour of wait time after which the agent will probably not be able to resolve your issue
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service, app does not work and directs you to toll free number that leaves you on hold for hours until yiu finally hang up. Email does nothing, virtual assistant is useless. Try to ise onbtwo vacations, never worked, no support, definitely do not sign up for this card. I can not even transfer my money out using app- error- toll free- no one answers!! I can mysteriously transfer more money in though, what a surprise!
PC SUCKS
They are the worse ever. I opened an account I got the card and then they closed my account. Good thing I never put any money in there. Worse company ever. Do not use them find a better bank to use, they will treat you better. PC sucks
Targeting Vulnerable People
NoFrills Dec. 23/2025 A representative trying to push Credit Cards to vulnerable Seniors approached me. I knew what it was about and I said "no thank you". He then moves closer to me and starts talking to me aggressively, this time I said "I told you I am not interested", then he came at me a third time and I was crying and frightened and telling him to get away from me. I saw him do this to 2 more Seniors before I left the store. I have PTDS and I am still left shaking from the incident. Shame on this company.
The worst customer service ever
The worst customer service ever. It take usually 2 days longer to post a credit than any of my other cards. I made a large over payment. I requested a return. I get a message " We are experiencing higher than usual volume. We appreciate your patience while your request is being reviewed." It's been 8 business days and nothing. They are earning interest on money that doesn't belong to them. I am certain they do the same regarding payment. They received payment but do not post it for days.

Worst service and bank ever
Worst service ever. Somehow my card was used in 3 different places across the world. They cancel the card, rushed me one yet never got it. No clue where it is. Now they rush me another one I hopefully get before Christmas. Not counting on it. I cancel 2 trips cuz the card books me hotels. Christmas is coming and I need card to book hotels. Doubt that will happen
In a week I spent over 9 hours on the phone. Hung up on 4 times. They dont put me through to a manager told me I get a call in 24 hours. Its almost 72 hours and no call. They can not tell me why they not only cancel my card but froze my entire account. Money goes in but I can not access money until this card they are rushing me again comes. Its ridiculous.
Other day they told me I could only get account unblocked if they called me. They could not that night. I had call in morning. Call back, verify myself with a code they sent me to then wait 35 minutes so they can call me back. They call back to make me verify myself. Tell me create a verbal password as I need it for future calls. I do this then ask for manager. Tells me call back and you be asked for password. I call back no one asked for password, when I asked why she forgot. They wont give me a manager and told me one will call me back. Still waiting. I have sent 3 emails in past 3 days, no reply. No answers to why my account froze, what going on.
My car loan was not paid cuz they froze it so it was nsf on loan side, they say that they can't do nothing. Now I owe the loan company nsf fees. This bank has caused me a headache and stress before Christmas for something that happened 2 weeks ago. Other banks dont take this long. My card used at 3 different cities at same time and no call yet my other bank calls asap when something odd happens.

I made four calls to +1 866 246 7262 because ALL MY MONEY was gone from my chequing account. I received terrible customer service on every single call.
The first person had no answer and switched me to a second representative who could barely speak or understand what was happening; it seemed to me he was drunk. Then he put me on hold for 30 minutes (maybe to take a shower and have a coffee) and after this gave me another phone number to call. When I asked another question, he just disconnected the call. Maybe he didn't like the question.
Then I made six calls to this "other" number, +1-844-286-7069, left six voice messages, and received no call back, even a few days later.
After that, I made another call to the main number, +1 866 246 7262. A lady put me on hold and then transferred me to a menu where I was able to change my PIN code. There was no explanation—just after the "hold," I was prompted to change my PIN. Just a reminder: I was calling because all my money was gone.
Finally, I made one more call, and someone picked up for 5-10 seconds (maybe to check my profile to find out if he liked me or not), then without a word put me on hold, and then disconnected. So, I was left with no money, not even for food, and no customer support, no answers, and no way to resolve the situation.
