Absolutely superb service. He fixed my email problem remitely in very quick time. This was a problem which 3 other firms had failed to cure.
I will be using Jon for all my computer problems in the future.

The problem with this one man band company (run by someone I'm not allowed to name) is not just the obvious weaknesses with his so-called "expertise" but also that he is too arrogant to accept that he still needs to improve his processes. And also that when he makes a mistake he should do the decent thing and provide a refund.

I paid him £150 to have Win10 reinstalled on my laptop *and* to have my data restored. He didn't bother checking that my data would need to be recovered from my hard drive via specialist software before starting to do the re-installation of Win10. He therefore over-wrote disk sectors that had my data on it. When he realised this, it didn't stop him from downloading Chrome and Diskfrag to the same drive (thereby further overwriting disk sectors), he then also downloaded the wrong version of the data recovery software (Stellar Phoenix which is for Windows 7). It took a couple of long days for me to work out (with Stellar tech support) what was going wrong with the attempted data recovery using this software. It turns out he downloaded the software from an old re-seller site and not the official Stellar site which is just incompetent/lazy.
I called him to have a polite objective discussion about this and to ask for a proportion of my money back and he became aggressive, and demanded that I provide every kind of proof under the sun and then "he would think about it". He's already lost me nearly a week and I'm not wasting any more of my time pandering to this guy's ego. He knows what he's done, and judging from the other recent bad reviews, it's clear his skill set is basic, and out of date, and he doesn't want to learn or accept responsibility for the consequences.

Rubbish. Stellar (who have far longer and deeper expertise than you), confirmed the data would have been recoverable if you hadn't over-written it with your cowboy procedures (which you've designed for the most basic use cases that anyone can do for themselves without getting ripped off by people like you). You were paid a good whack to handle a standard situation and you failed miserably because you couldn't be bothered to take the one extra step required. Embarrassing... And taking nearly two years to reply says it all really.

Problems began with our 8 year old PC when it lost wifi contact with the BT Hub. My attempts to rectify the situation to no avail I called out the experts. To re-establish the link Jon needed to uninstall Windows et all but having done that and having installed new software it became apparent that a hard drive that was getting slower by the hour was lining up problems for the future. A new hard drive was the solution. Foolishly I had failed to back up the data, some of which was extremely valuable and irreplaceable (lesson learned). Extracting the data from the old hard drive was not going to be simple but drawing on his long experience Jon retrieved the data that is now sitting happily on my refurbished PC. The cost of a new hard drive plus a charge for two hours work was I though very reasonable.

But that was not to be the end of our PC problems. After a couple of weeks we experienced the dreaded Windows Blue Screen of Death. Jon returned. The usual remedies for dealing with this issue not succeeding, he fitted another hard drive - it seems that Windows can be ultra sensitive when hardware is replaced. Thankfully Jon still held the data extracted from our original hard drive which he emailed to me to install on the new drive. All this charged at a single call out rate which I thought again very reasonable.

Jon did us a favour by coming home and working on it rather than taking it away. Also, he diagnosed the problem correctly and found the quickest solution under the circumstances so that we could use the machine without having to wait to order parts. Also, he gave some sound advice about backing up the machine, so overall a good service was provided.

My 2010 iMac's hard drive failed but a new one was quickly fitted and most of my files were successfully retrieved from the failed drive. (Much of it was backed up elsewhere anyway but it saved me an amount of hassle.)

My iMac had been running on a 2017 operating system but initially, a 2015 version was wrongly installed. This was subsequent put right free of charge during a return visit.

I have also had to remove the front glass panel again to clean off some finger prints that were noticeable under certain light conditions.

That said, it's job done at a very reasonable price and I'm a satisfied customer.

Have used Jon on numerous occasions since he saved me at a very late hour when believe it or not my Mac exploded and caught fire. I have always found him reliable, efficient and pleasant.
Always make him my first port of call when I have problems.

I have said that I wouldn't give this company one star. The recent reviews and responses from them proves it.
The number of negative views continues to grow. I know they said I am not justified in my complaint and refuse to speak to me. Those reporting make my case. OK Jon still not accepting my calls?????

Not a pleasant experience. A engineer just came round to look at an issue with my PC screens not turning on. He said his callout charge was £80 but thats all I would pay for him to fix it (except parts). He was here for 20 minutes and we agreed the motherboard was faulty and I should go back to the company I bought it from. He said I had bought an hour of his time so he can hang around and chat if I wanted. And thats after he pulled out the pc without unplugging the microphone and bent the plug - it doesn’t work now. Whilst in theory he has every right to charge me the full £80, but for 20 minutes and no fix maybe some level of compromise. I'll leave you to figure out if this is good or not. Just left a rather sour taste. I definitely should have been charged but was the full £80 right ? Anyway, lots of others people who offer the same service locally.

I've used this firm for 22 years , and always had great service.They are so knowledgeable it's untrue!

The title doesn’t do it justice... turned up an hour late without phoning...we are not on GMT anymore... the guy didnt wear a face mask... asked a few simple questions, answered with the just the basic knowledge, from knowing what was wrong to being un sure, then back again... no confidence whatsoever with any questions I was asking him. To top it off, kept talking about how much it would be and being very pushy... definitely wouldn’t recommend. Doesn’t even have the latest operation system on his laptop...

This guy has not asked for any information on evidence of repair work, if you look at the trend, whenever he gets a bad review he always states to have not interacted with this or that customer, a complete lair and never to be used. Fraud man. They should do a watchdog about him!

pcandmacrepairs in Hither Green are extremely unreliable, they cancelled a repair with me twice while not having the decency to message me that they had cancelled. I took a day off work twice to make sure I'd be home for the repair. Poor customer service and I'm not sure they even had knowledge of how to repair aio cooler before accepting the job.

Very good indeed.They somehow got my data from my Macbook which was not working any more.Superb.
