Our meals are carefully prepared, sealed and cooked using a process similar to pressure cooking, which keeps them safe to store at room temperature in a cupboard without the need for unnecessary preservatives to extend their shelf life. They do not need to be refrigerated or frozen.

Why do you use parsnips
Why do you use parsnips, soggy ones as well. They taste awful and make every thing taste of them? Your classic beef and chicken dinners are just a beef or chicken burger with parsnips, yuk, come on you can do better.

Pleased to say that Parsleybox have very graciously dealt with my complaint.
I ordered the sugar smart meal box, (you don'tchoose which meals) but for the price and amount of meals was good value.
The delivery was well-packed and quick.
It was disappointing to find that almost half the meals were hot pots. I have had four of the meals so far, one was really good, two were passable, but the main reason for the low rating was the terrible liver, bacon and mash. On the website is a mound of white, light, fluffy mash covered in a rich gravy with shreds of liver, discernible lardons of bacon, dotted with a green vegetable. The blurb announces it as a 'complete meal'. The reality was a 2 inch lump of liver in watery gravy, not a speck bacon let alone anything green, and a blob of some greyish-brown, clay-like substance that should have been the mash. The gravy was very tasty, but the 'potato' which after cooking morphed into an odd flavoured, grainy substance that left a nasty aftertaste, was awful.

However, we’re sorry that you were disappointed by the number of hot pots included and, in particular, the quality of the Liver, Bacon & Mash. What you’ve described certainly isn’t the experience we want for our customers.
Due to the pressure cooking process used to give our meals their long shelf life, some ingredients, such as potato, can occasionally experience a degree of discolouration. While this may affect the appearance of the meal, it should not affect its quality or safety.

Parsley Box used to be excellent
Parsley Box used to be excellent, with good sized portions and good quality meals. However, my last two deliveries have been very underwhelming. Portions have shrunk ie 4 small pieces of beef and 2 gristley lumps in the last beef casseroles with dumplings and much smaller chicken breasts in the sweet and sour meals. The soups and some of the puddings are very good, but I don't think I will be ordering again.

Delighted for my mum
To be honest , I’m ordering meals for my mother , therefore I can’t make a comment on how the food looks or tastes;
my mother has told me that the dishes I’ve ordered for her have have been good… however she was delighted with several that have become firm favorites!
At 93yrs old the idea of tasty food so easy & user friendly -ping ding is perfect for her! I personally chose Parsley Box for this reason.
