I've been working with Paro for the past year and a half. We are a small accounting firm working with real estate investors and rely on seasonal help to help keep our staff sane during tax season. I've received the personal cell phone numbers for our customer success managers who are happy to support us through text message and email and are always responsive to communications; which is important as we coordinate meeting new experts and onboarding them. We've brought several different people on for different reasons and different times and it was always very easy from getting potential expert's profiles, to scheduling interviews and getting statements of work generated. Customer service is top notch.

Like another review, if I could give zero stars, I certainly would! I have resigned my position as a contractor with a US based company, as a Managing Director for this company, I used my credit card to accept the monthly invoices from Paro. 5 attempts to have my card removed (2 calls, 3 emails), Each time not even a courtesy reply. No way to change it on the profile, nobody answers the phone. The service was a marginal at best, but the customer service non-existent.

Worst experience ever! Do not use or trust. Their sales team will promise the world only for their freelancers to drop every ball imaginable. To top it off they offered a new freelancer to take over and we declined. Stating they were free to charge us what they felt necessary as we had our card on file with them but did not want further assistance. They did not charge our card at that time but had no further communication. I thought that saved them in my eyes in regards to integrity. Well, I was wrong. Fast forward 10 months later my office just got a call from a collection agency without any notice from paro themselves showing a cowardly business approach to settling old unhappy accounts.

I really like the professionals Paro has brought to us. I also really like how concerned Paro is with making sure they are getting things right and that our needs are being met.

If I could write a ZERO star review I would. This company sold me on excellent service and I paid top dollar to get ripped off. Instead of them providing me with exceptional service, I did most of the work. I had a person assigned to me who had no desire or motivation to help me complete the project I had hired them to do. Every time we met it was like starting over. To top it off, I was billed an extra $200 unknowingly. When I reported my concerns to the corporate office, they told me it was past the acceptable complaint time (7-days) to receive any refunds. I wasted $1700 with this company over a 5 month period and my books have only improved because of my efforts. The guy probably put in a total of 7 hours of work during that time. BIG mistake to work with these people.

Financial statements months late with no rent and incorrect payroll numbers. Told them I would be canceling their services as I need accurate financials, they never came through so I canceled and now they are charging me $6000 because I moved my accounts 30 days prior to their requirement of notice, even though they completely failed in producing accurate and timely financial statements. How do you stay when they are failing? Now I need to pay $6000 or they sue me.....beware, they are unprofessional and their bookkeepers fail to produce agreed upon documents.

Excellent never have problems. We have been using them for two years. Very satisfied.

Paro has connected me with an excellent bookkeeper who is well suited to my small business needs. The process of selection, contract and payment was seamless and I'm very happy with the results.

Update:my company is closing and I’m filing for bankruptcy because I didn’t have the right support for the financial team hired. Be wary of PARO. This could have been prevented had Evelyn and Ebonie done their jobs as fractional CFO.

I write this review very defeated and distraught. I hired Paro June of 2023. My small company was growing and we were run to significant financial difficulties. I needed help figuring out how to maintain growth but not break the bank. As of today my company has NO MONEY! The first fractional CFO do nothing but bookkeep. We didn’t need her for that, I knew how to keep the books. In admin meetings when we brought up cash flow issues, she literally contributed nothing. I reached out to my account manager to stop services. They said they would find another CFO for me to work with. That was March 2024. The new CFO is fine but has yet to help me address any cash flow, tax incentives, etc. Literally all they do is book keep. So yesterday I ran payroll and we have less then $200 in the account. I have called my account manager and emailed her several times and have not received a response. I have called the CFO and left a voicemail, no one has responded. I have paid this company $21,000.00 over a year and my company is broke. They were supposed to help me. And they took advantage of me and my resources.

I would like to document the following issues that I have experienced with PARO over the past few months.

Since 2022, I have been working with an accountant through Paro. Initially, everything was going well. The accountant assisted us in transitioning to GAAP financial modeling, managed our books monthly, and supported us with ad hoc projects. However, in mid to late 2023, I began to notice discrepancies in our books, such as missing transactions and misclassified items. Upon further investigation, I discovered that we were not properly implementing GAAP modeling, and our liabilities were inaccurately categorized among other issues.

I promptly notified Paro of these issues and requested to cancel our agreement. Instead of addressing the problems, they offered a new accountant without any attempt to resolve the ongoing issue. In February, they attempted to charge us for two additional months, citing a 60-day notice period in the Statement of Work (SOW). Despite my efforts to communicate the issues and provide evidence, they have been unresponsive and have shown no willingness to provide customer support or address the situation. Instead, they have aggressively pursued payment and even threatened to send the matter to collections.

I have consistently communicated the issues to them, but they have shown no interest in resolving the situation. It is disappointing to experience such poor customer service and dispute resolution from a company that presents itself as a tech company. Based on my experiences, I strongly advise against using their services for other business owners.
