This is a incredibly fraudulent company. I canceled my reservation months ago and still no refund. When you call they just talk in circles, emails do not get answered. I have no idea how these scam artists continue to be in business. Shame on you Oyo! You a company filled with scoundrels!

This was the single worst experience I've had booking a hotel. We had booked a non-smoking room for three nights, but when we arrived at 11:00 p.m, the only rooms available smelled like an ashtray. The outside of the room was littered with dead bugs, and I can't imagine the inside was much better. Unfortunately, we didn't get to explore with much of the inside because due to our asthma, we couldn't step foot in the room for more than a second.
Since we had booked through OYO, the hotel was unable to assist in any sort of refund, even though they sold the remaining rooms while we were waiting outside the office. We spent about 2 and 1/2 hours in the parking lot trying to contact any sort of support at OYO, but channels of communication that we were provided in are booking receipt did not seem to be connected. We attempted to make an account on OYO's app to see if there was any sort of action we could take ourselves to cancel the remaining nights with 24 hours notice, but the verification codes in order to set up the account were never sent, despite trying several methods. If it hadn't made our reservation in the first place, we would have thought that OYO was no longer in business.
If you still book with OYO, be aware that any ability to cancel/modify your stay will be null due to the fact that they do not seem to have a valid way to be reached. It's been 2 months, and I still have yet to hear back.
Oyo hotel time square new york ,great location, But its the worst hotel I've ever stayed in ,lifts to higher floors take to long because there are only 2 wait for ages,rooms are the worst I've stayed in ever,states that they have a gym and tea making facilities, the gym is a mile away off site and they don't have any facilities for tea or coffee making so a bit of false information, felt like Harry potter his room under the stairs was larger than our room ,bit dip in the floor by bathroom door nearly fell over a dozen times ,we never had any hot water for a whole day ,metal bed frame had exposed sharp corners both my wife and I have bruised shins kept walking into them as the rooms are so small,so to summerise the hotel ,fantastic location, worst hotel I've stayed at so I would urge you to try another hotel,

I have tried to make a booking with Rothwell House Hotel near Kettering with Oyohotels and I have no idea if I have booked two stays or just the one I want or even none at all.
I wanted to stay in July. However part way through doing the booking I realised that I had put June so changed it to July but I have received an email confirming the June booking as well one confirming the July one. I also have a text confirming the July booking. I have tried using their AI chat to cancel the bookings but it doesn’t seem to be able to do that. When I look up my bookings on the website it just gives me an error message and now I have downloaded the app it says I haven’t made any bookings. I tried sending an email to Oyohotels and it bounced back, I have also tried ringing the number on the website but it doesn’t exist.
The booking reference for the June one is XD357199 and for July is CKEP9840.
I have also emailed the hotel directly and have not had an answer. I’m trying to keep a paper trail of what I have done to cancel the bookings.
I didn’t put any credit card details on the booking so nothing has or can be paid for, is that why my booking/s don’t seem to exist?

I have found a second email address but that too has bounced back and I have tried to send a message on their facebook account, but will it be read?
Will they bother to reply to this review, they didn’t the first time I posted it.

Booked online 28 minutes later the hotel canceled our reservation and charged me $120 cancellation fee even though they’re the ones that canceled on us. I would stay away from any OYO hotel as they refuse to give a refund even though they are the ones legally in breach of the contract. So look out as they have no problem ripping people off.
On May 22, 2026, while my Husband and I were exiting the shower inside our hotel room, a hotel employee entered our occupied room without authorization. We were both undressed and in an extremely vulnerable state. This was a serious invasion of privacy that caused significant embarrassment, distress, and discomfort.
The incident was reported immediately. The hotel manager personally apologized and agreed that a full refund would be issued as compensation.
As of June 1, 2026, that refund has not been provided. Instead, I have exchanged more than 40 messages with OYO Hotels through the VRBO "Contact Host" feature without receiving any meaningful assistance or resolution.
The facts are not disputed. OYO has been aware of the unauthorized entry since the day it occurred, yet for more than ten days I have received little more than repetitive statements that they are "awaiting a response from the property." At this point, that explanation is neither reasonable nor acceptable.
What is particularly concerning is OYO's refusal to meaningfully assist. Representatives have repeatedly refused to escalate the matter, provide contact information for anyone with authority to resolve it, or offer any realistic timeline for resolution. Despite more than 40 messages, not a single substantive update, proposed solution, or meaningful effort to address my concerns has been provided.
My frustration now extends beyond the original privacy violation and includes OYO's handling of the complaint. The hotel acknowledged the incident, apologized, and agreed to a full refund. OYO has instead delayed, deflected responsibility, and provided scripted responses rather than resolving a straightforward matter.
The lack of urgency, accountability, transparency, and customer support demonstrated throughout this process is unacceptable. No guest who experiences a privacy violation of this nature should be forced to spend weeks pursuing a resolution that was promised on the day the incident occurred.

Toilet were sinking and smelly. We did use the services as hotelier inform no room available at same time I was connected to oyo representative however, agent place call on hold for 18-20 minutes we just exit that place

I booked a motel room through the OYO website, which includes a cancellation option.
After a while I canceled my arrival, and when I canceled, the website said "It takes approximately 10 minutes to initiate the refund. Please come back after some time to check the status of your refund."
Of course I did not receive the money.
After a while I called and they told me that I would receive the money back within 24-48 hours.
Even after this time I did not receive the money.
A week later I called and they hung up on me. After three times they told me that this was not the right number, and gave me another number. They sent me to ask for money from Motel 6 at a third number.
I asked why the website said that the money would be refunded, and there was no answer, they just waved me away.
Horrible!
