It's been a great resource for finding additional freelance work. Seems like most of the freelancers are in the U.S. so we aren't competing with unrealistically low-wage workers.

Needs lots of improvement
Job posters do not post enough information for us to quote correctly. They need to state what they are looking for in a quote other then prices. They need to state how many hours they willing to pay for. Beware Outsource does not refund any money for contractors being able to quote.

Excellent service
Within minutes of my submission, I had two good responses. Over the next couple of days I had 20 responses to choose from. Most of the choices were professional and showed examples of previous work. I chose a vendor and she completed the work in 24 hours, giving me three options. The final product was delivered within 24 hours after my choice from the three options. Prices were highly variable which gave me options to fit in my budget.

Pleased and Confused.
I would like to say that the entire experience was wonderful, but there was some confusion in the payment process that put a bump in it.
The professional I hired was wonderful to work with, and the job he did was fantastic. I thought I setup payment as a down-payment for when he accepted the offer, and a second payment for when he finished the job. Instead, he received only the down payment as his final and only payment. Fortunately, "Outsource" left a means to provide the person I hired with the remaining amount, and all is well.
I think the process for payment, and the definition of "deliverables" should be explained in a little more detail.

First time user of Outsource.com
I needed a new logo design for a business startup. Went to Outsource.com, posted the requirements, within a couple hours I had at least 15 offers to choose from. I picked the artist that best fit my style and went with him. He was great! On time and nice designs. All a very quick and easy way to get the project done!!
