I’ve recently subscribed to a stocks…
I’ve recently subscribed to a stocks and shares ISA with open money. So far so good. I really like that chat option is always available if I need any help. Also, if I am unsure about a product, I have the option to book a telephone call appt with the financial adviser. (thank you Will you were very helpful). Let’s hope that the ISA is in good hands and will perform as well as the customer care I have received so far.

Really great customer service and advice
Really great experience with OpenMoney. I spoke with Will to discuss investing and he couldn’t have been more helpful. Only reason not 5 star is because there isn’t currently an ESG portfolio offering, but my interaction with OpenMoney has been second to none.

Even though I have not completed the…
Even though I have not completed the process I have found Open Money to be excellent to date. Not pushy at all and despite being online my actual contact with a real person was very positive.
I asked, and received a comparison between my existing ISA provider and Open Money. The result was favorable and seemed well researched - I believe the process of comparison is regulated by FSA requirement so proper companies will do this.

So far I have only just started with opening an account but it has been relatively straightforward. I found some of the wording in the documentation a little ambiguous but the respondent on the on-line chat was very helpful and cleared up the matters.

Good customer service
I’ve had to contact the customer service team a few times via email and they’ve always responded quickly and provided the information I’ve needed.
As other reviewers have mentioned, there are a few features that I’d like to see improved, such as having more flexibility around payment options to invest lump sums quicker and performance graphs.
Overall I’m pleased with my OpenMoney experience.

The single worst online sign up process…
The single worst online sign up process ever! Website lurches from one terminal error page to the next!
They wanted to do a review so over many questions gave them the answers. I felt judged like I didn’t know anything about my own finances. I understand having to do this for debt but I know what I can save and what I can’t... thanks!
Got to the end and because I’ve paid into a stocks and shares ISA this financial year they said “stop right there”. Eventually (I’m not sure how) I got onto the page relevant to reviewing my product. After yet more questions and entering a password was faced with an Oops page that reloaded to a Client Portal login page. Email and password not recognised. Forgotten password link didn’t work... pointless waste of time! If you can’t manage this effectively how can I trust you with my money?!!
Oh and I don’t know about anyone else but I wanted to give up on the first over familiar, unhelpful, punchable landing page of “Stop right there!” not to mention the infuriatingly insincere “Oops” page!! I find NOTHING more unprofessional on a business website than the use of this language to add joviality to an error page. What’s wrong with “Sorry...”???!!!

We are sorry if the questions we ask in our advice journey caused you some frustration. The reason we ask these questions is so we can build out an advice recommendation based on your responses. We look at things like affordability to make sure any contributions you'd like to make into an investment are affordable and wouldn't negatively impact your current financial situation. As you may know, we always recommend that you invest for at least 5 years to ride fluctuatuions in the market, therefore any contribtuions you make should be affordable and not impact your current financial situation.
As you have paid into a Stocks & Shares ISA this tax year, we would need to review your current product before you could open a S&S ISA with us. We apologise if the journey for this was not clear.

Few teething issues
Few teething issues, error coming up when I signed up but online chat support was great and helped me get set up quickly. Lump sum is added via direct debit so my account still has no money so cannot review from that side of things
