Very good experience with Oxford Open Learning, studied GCSE Psychology and passed and currently studying IGCSE Biology with them.

I had wanted to study gcse geography ever since I was in school and finally got around to enrolling. Tutor was great couldn't fault her but the course material was littered with grammatical errors and the mock exam and answers were wrong. They did not match up and questions were left out. Very bad seeing as though I revised all the wrong answers. They did send me a revised answer sheet but it was too late.

I found the price rather expensive and although the tutors support was helpful it was rather limited and I needed to seek help from a private tutor to almost guarantee a pass!!
I found the content irrelevant as I sat the Foundation Paper, little covered came up in the exams. I think the materials should be set depending on whether participants are aiming for Higher or Foundation papers.
Overall I would say they are very good as I left it late to apply and had materials sent quickly and my tutor was always available should I have needed help although I didn't feel personally welcome to do so as I didn't want to burden her (that's my fault not hers).

I did IGCSE Biology, Chemistry, Physics at start, they are vey doughy so I switched to Wolsey Hall Oxford.

I then did IGCSE English, worked at a C2 overall and in exam I got a D. They are too generous on marking, DO NOT recommend, try Wolsey Hall Oxford, much better.

I had to retake my GCSE English to further my professional development. A quick search online brought up Oxford Open Learning.

I chose to do the IGCSE English Language course. Through a combination of the easy to read work books and the excellent teaching support of Anne Thomas, I got an A grade.

Worth every penny

I completed my IGCSE and obtained a B grade. I am very happy with the support and motivation received from my tutor. She supported me from the start, right up to me taking my exams. I would recommend ool to other students taking IGCSE's.

I am going to do GCSE Maths in September 2016.

Passed with flying colours and achieved the Grade C I have always wanted.

Coursework is straightforward and very easy to understand and a tutor on standby as and when needed.

Really enjoyed being able to work at my own pace and the feedback from tutor was helpful. Great freedom doing it this way. I would do it again.

I have done two courses with OOL after having my first child and whilst pregnant with my second. Both tutors were incredibly supportive and answered all my queries quickly and helpfully. I loved the course materials and the ease of deciding when to study so I could fit it around my home life. I would definitely recommend them... And do another course myself!

I thought that the course was well presented; the tutor was brilliant. I would recommend her to anyone that I come across. This is because she was very effiecient in replying to my emails.

The admin staff were very helpful and pleasant especially on the initial contact; becuase they provided very helpful and useful advice. This saved me from doing double science as I thought that this was required from me if I ever decided to do the PGCE.

The only thing is that i dont think it is the company's policy but accesibility via skype with the tutor as sometimes you understand certain concepts face to face.

The other thing is that I couldnt get my twigs account working. i had contacted the admin regarding this but i found it there was no concrete help from them. So i followed the remaining course without being able to access this resource.

I studied for my IGCSE English language whilst overseas in order to gain a higher level to get onto a post grad university course. I had a wonderful mentor who I spoke to regularly. I emailed all my work, which she marked and returned promptly. She was a great support to me. The resources were of very good quality and prepared me well fit the exam. All this resulted in me gaining an A*.

I never did GCSE science at school and needed a qualification that was the same or equivalent to a GCSE to move on to higher education. Unfortunately my local colleges weren't offering any such course. Having researched many online courses from different providers I decided on Oxford Open Learning Trust Ltd and I'm glad I did! Working full time didn't leave me with much spare time but fortunately the course allowed me to work at my own pace which was very helpful. My learning materials arrived quickly and were laid out in a way that was very easy to follow. If I had issues then my online tutor was quick to resolve them. My tutor was also very good at quickly marking my assignments and explaining any mistakes that I had made.

Overall my experience was very positive and allowed me to move onto higher education, furthering my chosen career path. I would definitely recommend them to others who are in the same situation I was.

Studied a level maths - first year course notes were OK, second year's notes were poor and so I just resorted to using text books.

I have only praise for The Oxford Learning Trust. I was able, with support from the learning notes and tutor, to achieve an A in a iGCSE Biology after 6 months of study.

Excellent tutor, support and resources. Would recommend.

The paperwork sent was adequate but there was very little support beyond that and there was confusion regarding the marks given to my assignments
