I have just completed the Master Herbalist Course, booked through Groupon. I'd been accepted for a BSc in Herbal Medicine but then refused a student loan, so I decided to do this for my own interest. I actually found the customer service good; had initial problems accessing the course but this was sorted out by a phone call. One or two slight technical problems, but again, solved via their on line chat, which responded very quickly.
I have to say though, that the course design and material was not good; just reams of information to read through in a very boring format, followed by multiple choice tests, which one could complete without having read the material in depth. Not at all interactive. I'm a teacher myself, so was not impressed; they could at least have included some illustrations or the odd video! I think the person who wrote the course knew their subject, just not very aware of teaching methodology and testing! There was some information that I have printed off because it will be useful for future reference. As for the diploma! I was able to print it off successfully but I imagine if I displayed this on my wall, friends and colleagues would collapse laughing. I realised before starting that it wasn't a valid qualification, so not too disappointed on that score. I would have been able to get most of the information by myself on line and it would have been more interesting than the stultifyingly boring course material. Still, it was something to do during lockdown, but God help anyone I tried to treat using only this qualification!

I'm now on my 3rd course with this company. The first one I bought, I gave up after 3 modules, it was nothing but a load of waffle, I couldn't even understand it. The second one was ok, made it to the end & hopefully learnt something. I've just started another course which I bought on Groupon & didn't realise it was through this company, it was called online city training. This is also proving to be mostly waffle & very little useful information. The multi choice questions are complete rubbish. One question said pick 3 answers (out of 4) & two of the answers were exactly the same. I wouldn't recommend this company & I won't be bothering to take any more of their courses.

Im really not sure what the fuss is all about! i see a lot of people complaining that they haven't been able to access the website/course or get in contact with anyone about inquiries or issues. I However have had no bad experiences studying with online academies, everything has worked fine, i got in contact with the call centre when i first started the course because i stupidly couldn't find the course in my spam mail and someone called me to help guide me step by step on what to do.. i completed my course and it was marked by my tutor Natasha! <3 :) and in the end it was accredited for 25 pounds and my certificate arrived at the door early in top condition! i really recommend using online academies.

Scam, don't bother. Signed up for a course. Halve of the buttons on the website did not work (my courses and my account). I had the privilige that I could log in and see the course. Very amateuristic. Could not get a certificate of completion. Link just did not work. Do not buy any course from this Online Acedemies, it is not worth your money and I don't think Online Academies is a real company with a customer service.

company is a scam. Shaw Academy up to their old dirty tricks under a different name. Ripping people off. Taking money off people before the end of a free trial. Customer service non existent. Impossible to csncel or get a refund theyll just keep taking hundreds of pounds off you every month. Theyre already being investigated by action fraud and BBC watchdog. Theyre going down

I wanted to give 0, I have reported this company to watch dog uk, custom and excise ,, and to my bank for fraud,, contact me on to help take this scam team to court.. the site is a scam the links a scam the address phone and website all a scam we need to make sure they pay .. I got given fake links and no live chat like advertised no course support nada DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY all reviews on here saying it’s a good company are fake which I will prove with my court case.

I completed a course that I purchased through Groupon. The work was interesting and the "exams" were multiple choice questions which were easy to complete. After finishing the diploma i realised it was not worth the paper it is written on, No company or college recognises it so if you are hoping your certificate will lead to a career in your chosen field, forget it. If you are looking for a taster of what the real course looks like then these certificates will give you the basics of the subject.

Question: Are you the same as "Learners Direct"? It's very confusing. Found that you accredit courses run on Learners Direct Website. Also, you offer the same courses for ridiculous amounts cheaper than on Learners Direct. It seems like a scam and I need answers.

Everything is in one place I can study from home or from work in lunch hour

I did the farming management diploma. This is altogether too simple, and some of the modules are outdated (the computer module claimed that data could be stored on floppy drives - who in the 21st century uses those?). It was also full of annoying punctuation problems - question marks seemed to be used for anything other than a comma or full stop. The MCQs that followed each module were so simple, and followed the same format each time so you could guess the answers without reading the course work. If you knew absolutely nothing about the countryside, and lacked all common sense, then this course could teach you something, otherwise it is too simplified to be of use to anyone

I’ve been trying to get a refund for over 18months! Their own cancellation policy says I could have had one within a certain time of paying - BUT! No one andwers the phone or emails! For 18 months - nothing? THEN, the only time I did get an answer I was told they won’t refund a course I paid for 18months ago?!?? Lying, cheating, thieves!!!! Do not throw your money away. This company is fraudulent! How they are allowed to keep going I don’t know?!?? I have contacted Trading standards and Watchdog.

Finished an online course in children and Adolescent, ask if i want to pay extra for a accredited diploma with ABC. Paid the extra £24, took the exam and have heard nothing back. I have sent various messages on their website, nothing. They do not answer the phone and i have sent lots of emails asking for an update. As of yet i have heard nothing. Stay away from this company, you pay extra for nothing. The worst online company i have ever used.

I completed a HLTA course, after an exhaustive exam, I passed and my surprise was that even though I had payed for the ABC acreditation they just sent me their useless diploma, the same I can print. No ABC acreditation, no ABC Study Units Summary... nothing. The worst is that I am trying to contact them and they won't answer phones, emails or chats... I would not recommend to anyone, in addition the course is such a brick, no videos no interaction at all. If you want a acknowledgeable course do those of the Open University. They are recognised everywhere and many of them are free.

I completed the level 2 stock trading course. Upon completion I paid another £26 to do the level 3. However 1 of the 2 course questions is not on the test and noone has replied to my emails or call. Beginning to think this site is a scam. Avoid!

Having booked the course and paid I have been unable to login and despite several attempts to contact the company no one has got back to me, so I can't start the course that I have paid for . I will never use this company again and will never reccommend them to anyone

If I could give this a zero I would. Bought a reflexology course through Groupon. I managed to login once Very quickly and never again thereafter. I tried everything from forget password to contacting them with zero response. I even called and let a message as they didn’t answer. So I lost £15!

THIS SITE IS A SCAM!
A company cannot accredit itself. It’s like a school accrediting a GCSE paper - it just wouldn’t happen. Please please please don’t waste your money! You will not get the jobs they advertise you could.
Online Academies have changed their name numerous times and are currently under investigation for scamming.

so far awfull.. enrolled . great ! does the course work .. nope. cant view lessons also sent two emails now which says they would reply in 24hrs. have they nope! waste of money

I entered wrong email address when enrolling.. help I received to access my course was speedy and efficient.. this is my 3rd course I've done with online academies
