I have had my 100w CO2 for about a year now and love it. I have had an issue with the power supply's fan making a funny noise and OMTECH was fast to send out a new one within a week. I have had a few questions and and the customer support have been amazing, I can't fault them.
I purchased an Omtech Polar laser on May 2024. Within a few days there was an issue where the laser head moved but did not fire and Omtech sent me some instructions to follow. The issue did resolve itself until August 2024 when the very same issue happened. I contacted Omtech and they just sent the same instuctions, which did not seem to work at first but then suddenly the laser started working again. At the end of September 2024 the very same problem happened again. Omtech sent the same instructions and this time suggested that I open the machine up and, in their words, short- circuit a component! I take it Omtech will not be taking any responsibility if such a ridiculous request resulted in a customer being electrocuted or their house caught fire. On liaising online with a guy who is well- known to Omtech as a voice of expertise, he has suggested it sounds like the laser power supply, but Omtech are proving to be evusive and not forthcoming in their responsibilities to honour the Sale of Goods Act (ie that the item must be fit for purpose and last a reasonable period of time). Omtech have offered an online session with a technical support guy but their system only works for US addresses, so their suggestion was to "use any US address"! I don't want to do this as it seems very shady practice to me. I have little option left but to go down the legal route.

We are really sorry to know that you have faced repeated technical issues with the Polar models and totally understand your frustrations.
One of the big setbacks, as an online seller, is not being able to check the machine personally when it goes wrong. Hence, we tried our best to give instructions as clearly as we could via emails and pictures but forgot to consider that not everyone is an electrician.
We have removed the restrictions on the "US address only" on our online technical support. Could you please give us another chance and schedule an appointment via our technical session? Kindly note that the technicians are based in the USA, and there will be a time difference.

Got my new OMTech 100w laser 3 months ago and found I had a problem with the air assist pump. After some problem contacting support, they were very helpful and sent me a new pump immediately so still rate this company 5 star. This is my first laser cutter and after making more than a few mistakes I now feel comfortable using this fantastic machine.
My first Laser arrived today - 500 x 700 100 Watt auto focus - the machine is really nice. I have had a hectic day but got the test file to work so all looks good. Communication with Omtec has been really good except in one respect which is really my only criticism. The machine was despatched on Wednesday, delivery stated as being 7 to 10 days so it came as something of a surprise when the machine turned up today - i.e. two days later with no communication from the delivery company. It just arrived. Yes I had made some preparations because after all it isn't a box of chocolates that's coming but a bit of notice would have been helpful. Fortunately the weather was fine and it arrived in the morning so I had all day to tussle on with it. However, enough about that. The machine is really good value - and at the end of the day having it delivered and set up by someone else would have been lovely but I chose to hang on to several thousand pounds so it is what it is. I've only had a brief introduction to the Laser but I am excited about what it can do for me and would recommend Omtech to others. It's solidly built, the manual that came with it is fine - forget about those digs about unreadable Chinese - there is nothing wrong with the manual booklet I received. These guys know what they are doing - if you are thinking about a Laser do you homework, compare the options but give Omtech a chance - I'm glad I did.
Broken after a month, So to my horror i was using my newly bought k40 from Omtech all going well just getting to grip with software changes and starting to get some work flow out into the real world, then BAMB, laser stops working, not firing no power no nothing, i contact omtech online as there is no phone but at to my surprise 2 days later first email i email back sendond email im like ohh these guys are messaging back rather than the nightmare i was exspecting of no reply, Then they ask for a video inside and out side the machine powered on and trying to test fire again the emailed back the next day, with the time difference for the states its a pain to wait but they were good on response time to be fair, they sent me a new psu and then when that didnt work they refunded me €150 to go buy a laser tube as they didnt have any in stock, so after only 2 1/2 weeks roughly from break down i am fully up and running again i am super loyal now to omtech for just being amazing through this time, thanks guys and gals i appreciate it and i will defo be upgrading from you in the future, i gave 5 stars because the machine work, customer service was amazing my only downfall was time lapse but hey what can you do! Thanks again
