Having worked next to the founders, I have used OFX many times to transfer money for mortgage repayments, loans to family and investments. However WHY they persist nowadays to ask irrelevant stupid questions using unfriendly Australian based staff in particular is beyond me. I would not recommend this service anymore. I recently recommended a friend and he too was totally frustrated.

New OFX Portal has Poor UX
The new OFX portal has poor UX and opens scope for transfer errors. It also has no batch payment facility anymore. OFX has taken step backward by delivering a substandard system which impacts the overall experience of using OFX and increases its risk profile.

Totally untrustworthy… I ended up…
Totally untrustworthy… I ended up having to use another fx company for a transfer they wouldn’t do. The goods arrived safely. But because they blocked the transfer, my account with OFX was also blocked without explanation. Stay away from these guys.

I love OFX
I love OFX. It's the best option for sending large amounts of money and the staff are super friendly and helpful. They verify your identity and that of the recipient so the chance of fraud is very much minimized. They have been a life saver for me.
