Product Details
Shield Trousers are made to handle demanding trail conditions, combining durable ripstop construction with flexible comfort for long days on the bike.
Designed specifically for mountain biking, the articulated slim fit with tapered legs keeps fabric clear of drivetrain components while maintaining freedom of movement on technical terrain. The raised back panel provides coverage in dynamic riding positions.
Strategically placed abrasion-resistant panels reinforce high-wear areas at the knees and inner ankles to protect against crashes and repeated friction.
An adjustable waistband system allows you to dial in the fit, while ankle zips help tailor the tapering of the legs.
Finished with durable YKK® zippers throughout, secure double snap waist fasteners and subtle black-on-black embroidered branding.

Aftercare
To maintain performance and water repellency, machine wash on a cool cycle using a technical cleaner such as Grangers Wash + Repel Clothing 2 in 1, which cleans and reproofs in a single wash.
Reproof periodically to keep the trousers performing in wet conditions.

Initial use seems positive, went for the larger of the two size options as recommended, other than slightly baggy on seat seems a good fit, shed water well and stayed pretty clean given the damp and wet muddy conditions. Warm and comfortable on bike and appear well made, interested to see how they hold up next to my normal Endura gear. Tight ankle fit means its impossible to get them to fit over a bulky winter boot, not ideal but fine with normal footwear.

I cycle with an electric mountain bike. Did 40 miles with 4,000 ft ascent and descent wearing these for the first time. In the Dordogne and was hot weather. They were brilliant. Will buy another pair when I get back to UK. I did wash first as they had a bit of static when I got them but no static after 40 miles!

Very well made trousers and the fit is great for mobility on the bike. Zip ankle cuffs are excellent so no flappy material on the lower legs. Water resistance is good too. I love ‘em.
