Obsidian K9 Academy Omdömen 

I found Obsidian K9 Academy on Instagram and immediately joined their 7 day free trial. I own a 7 month old Dobermann and knew after watching as many of the training videos as I could that this training Academy was for us! Jay and Jack are so incredibly knowledgeable, super supportive, genuinely interested in every member and their dogs and make you feel really welcome and a valued member!
We joined 6 weeks ago and have already benefitted so much from learning how to form and maintain a great relationship with my pup and really enjoy our training together. I have attended many training clubs over the years and never learned so much in such a short time. These guys teach and explain things in such clear and practical ways and are so approachable and contactable everyday for advice or simply encouragement. All members can post videos of their training sessions etc and I have already attended the best group training session and a free open day where absolutely everyone supports and respects each other no matter what! Simply brilliant!

Jay and Jack are so knowledgeable, friendly and approachable! We’ve come on leaps and bounds since joining the academy and I’m so excited to see where this journey will take us. The academy is a community, everyone is always so kind and most importantly - there’s no judgement!!

I went to see Jack with my human and dog reactive boy, he put everything back in perspective and reminded me he isn’t a bad lad just some bad situations.
He is now working with us weekly to ensure he becomes a well mannered boy again.

After a 1:1 with Jack we eventually took the plunge and joined the academy. Should have done it sooner. The videos are excellent, the support from Jack and Jay is excellent, the support from fellow members is inspiring. Following the open day my confidence is increasing and my reactive dog is starting to listen to me. Go for it!

I cannot sing any higher praises to obsidian K9 and all of their staff. I've had nothing but help and support within the K9 Academy group on discord and tonnes of really helpful videos with the membership. I really hope that anyone who reads this will look into them and when getting a trainer anyone should do their research but without a doubt I would 100% suggest looking into these guys whatever it is you need they would be able help! And no doubt could make your life with your dog better and happier😊

I had a 1 to 1 session with Jack at the beginning of February 2023 as I was struggling with my dog reactive German Shepherd. I’d previously been training at a basic obedience club for the best part of a year and the reactivity got worse and worse to the point I didn’t want to leave the house with my dog anymore. If you’d told me at the end of the 1 to 1 session I’d be walking my GSD around a Rotti whilst my dog stayed calm & relaxed, I would never have believed you. Jack has given me confidence in my handling and I’m finally enjoying walks with my boy again.

All training with Obsidian K9 is tailored to your dog - there isn’t a one size, one tool fits all approach. What works for one dog might not work for another and finding a trainer that acknowledges this is so important in this industry.

I have been a member of the online Academy since December 2022. What I love most is the community feel. Jay, Jack and the other members are there to celebrate your wins or lift you up when you feel things aren’t going so well. There is always someone on hand for advice or support. As part of your membership, you get access to hundreds of videos (with several new videos released every week) and you can also attend members open days (I’m already looking forward to my next one!).

Joining the Obsidian K9 tribe was the best thing I ever did for me and my dog.

I only joined the Obsidian K9 online Academy a few days ago,looking for help and guidance with our reactive dog. The online community is amazing, plenty of others sharing their experiences and journeys, and offering encouragement on the more difficult days. Jay and Jack are also always on hand to provide help and guidance; and the training videos are great too.Looking forward to scheduling our first in-person session in the near future.

Joined the Academy having followed them on TikTok for a while and debated joining to get some help with our adolescent dog. Wish we'd signed up sooner, the support from both Jay and Jack is incredible and they have built a wonderful community of like-minded, supportive people who all love training and want the best for their dogs. Through this we've been able to arrange training meet ups which are hugely valuable. Also had a training session with Jay to set off on the right track, this was incredibly helpful and reassuring about what we were dealing with and how to tackle it. The online Academy is full of useful resources and really gets into the detail of how to raise a dog properly and build a strong relationship to get the best out of them. Since joining, we've been able to enjoy our dog so much more and enjoy far more successes in our training. What's offered is way beyond what we've experienced from other trainers and the advice given is always spot on, easy to follow and delivered directly but with no judgement.

I've been in the Obsidian academy for over a year now and it's been fantastic. Jay and Jack are always on hand to answer any questions and just know a ridiculous amount about dog training. We also went to see Jay for a 121 session when we were feeling really lost and conflicted about the advice we had had from other trainers. He helped us correct some things we were doing and reassure us of other things.

The best part is being part of a community of like-minded dog owners has also helped, just knowing that you're not alone and other people are experiencing similar situations with their dogs is really comforting. I love watching people's videos and seeing the support from everyone else just come flooding in.

I’ve been a member of the online academy for a couple of months now and I’m loving it. I don’t even live in the country at the moment but the community feel is second to none and is massively helping me and my reactive rescue boy from afar. For me the feelings of isolation that come from having a dog with behavioural issues are the hardest so it’s invaluable to have the support of the other members. A real family feel with zero judgement and a bunch of people who genuinely want to help each other. I can’t wait to meet everyone in person and get some 1:1’s and open days in!

I only joined 1 week ago for the 7 day trial after finding Obsidian k9 on instagram. Already see a massive difference in my dog! I wish i found this when she was a puppy. Can't wait to see what the next couple of months will bring. Lots of great info and videos which is great to see if you are doing something correct. There's also a fab support group where you can ask whatever questions you want, anytime you want!

Seeing Jay for a 1to 1 and joining the academy has changed my life completely… I’m 54 and have found a whole new world and hobby opening up to me which is much more fun than knitting! I’ve learnt so much but still feel there is so much more to go at, parts of dog training I didn’t even know existed!

I joined before getting my puppy and found the resources available invaluable.
Both Jay & Jack will go above and beyond to help, and are available for 24 hour support in the discord group. Any questions raised are answered swiftly with no judgement and the critique given is always constructive.
I find it amazing that considering the size of the group each dog and owner is remembered and addressed individually. They both make sure on open days that every member attending has some time with them.
Every single member of the academy I have ever met has been friendly and welcoming and I find it inspiring to be part of a team that is willing to support each other and further their knowledge together. It's amazing to watch people on different journeys and see their progress.
I have attended several one to ones with both Jay & Jack and feel they have been worth every penny. Everything has been explained in a manner I could understand and I have never been made to feel inadequate for my lack of knowledge. I am a nervous person by nature and feel that Jay & Jack have always made me feel at ease, often supporting me to come out of my comfort zone.
I have attended several different workshops and have enjoyed each one as much as the last. They have all been informative and fun. Jay & Jack do everything with the academy members in mind, often letting us vote for the type of workshops or videos we would like.
Obsidian for me has not only helped me further my knowledge and offered support, but it has taught me things that are applicable in all areas of life. I will forever be grateful that I found the academy.

Been apart of ObsidianK9 for about 6 months now and I can honestly say it is an invaluable resource to have for training your dog. Hundreds of videos full of information and tutorials as well as the Discord with 24/7 access to support from both fellow academy members as well as Jay and Jack. And if there isn't a video for something you think of that you need help with, simply ask and you will be pointed in the right direction! We attended our first Open Day a few weeks ago and had a fantastic time, learnt a lot and got to meet some great people!

What can I say Jack and Jay have changed my life not only teaching me how to train my human and dog reactive Mali but they have taught me the love for dog training as a whole. And I know it's not only me who went in wanting one thing and coming out with so much more. Given my dog a chance at a much longer life and sent me down the rabbit hole of dog training. Can't say good enough things

A genuine review I can only praise and thank obsidianK9 for the expertise and experience,I have owned dogs all my life been to many trainers (some very good) but when I got my gsd and he barked at anything and anyone I had no clue what to do they are the only trainers that have actually taught me what to do and honestly helped me and my dog. You only have to look at the trainers to see what can be achieved.I would 1000% recommend jay and jack and have recommended loads of people struggling.

After having dogs all my adult life, I honestly thought I was ready to take on a dog that needed some help in the real world, a dog that hadn’t had the best start.
After a while I knew I needed a trainers advice and help in our journey forward.
We looked at many and tried a few, but unfortunately they didn’t have an impact- or not the desired one at least. Then I got in contact with obsidian, went for a one to one and shortly after joined the online academy too.
The support and the knowledge provided is beyond anything I could have imagined, nothing is too much trouble when it comes to helping the dogs and even with helping the owners with mindset being a huge part of obsidian too.
Training can be hard work and having the support 24/7 at your fingertips is honestly invaluable.
I would and do recommend to anyone and everyone I possibly can.

Found this academy on TikTok during lockdown with a reactive GSD. The academy allows for self teaching improving your confidence with your dog, the academy has recently undergone a transformation with a new community set up in discord, which is genuinely a game changer, a lot of knowledge in there to get you to tweak your training, share your ideas or issues. Both Jay and Jack are phenomenal handlers, completely balanced, non biased and able to understand that some people want a working dog, some people want a pet, whatever your goal, your training is personalised to you. One to ones are really well set up, in valuable locations with real life situations for you to handle your dog. I thoroughly recommend this academy, take the free 7 day trial, you will love it, and I’m certain you will stay, worth every bit of time.
