What a wonderful, kind and caring woman Carmen is! So after going back and forth to many NHS doctors with them basically telling me I had IBS and I would just have to manage. I was broken inside with terrible gut issues every single day and was honestly so confused and scared as I had no idea what was happening to me or where to begin to get rid of it. But then I started to go out of my way to find a different kind of help as I knew I could get better from this, and then I found the lovely Carmen and have been working with her since February, we had our first phone call and I already felt a massive weight lifted off my shoulders and after that I knew things were going to be okay and I was going to get better! Over time, with Carmen’s amazing help, I really started to believe I could regain my health back. We ran a stool test which identified pathogenic bacteria overgrowth in my system and even though that sounds awful, it was just a relief to actually get to the bottom of what was going wrong with me in order to fix it. Carmen has helped me get over my awful anxiety about this all with her care and knowledge and has really helped me include some amazing foods in my diet with her nutritional advice. Carmen is so patient, real and genuine and I’m over the moon to have found her, what an angel! I’m still on my gut healing journey, but I don’t know where I’d be without Carmen! I have been having telephone consultations with Carmen now for just over 1 year now. If I never found Carmen I don’t think I would be where I am now, which in my opinion is very good as you can never get appointments with your own doctor, especially being diagnosed with Mcas (mast cell activation syndrome). Carmen is very knowledgeable and a lovely functional medicine nutritionist who as helped me to overcome my illness, which is very complexed. She does Skype also so you are actually getting a face to face appointment. Carmen has been fantastic. She's really helped me understand what I eat by keeping a long-term food diary. You can clearly see trends and how stress affects the gut, which then affects everything else. The whole process has been online which has been really convenient and I can't emphasise enough how reassuring it's been to finally understand the causes of what's been bothering me in a way that my own doctor wasn't able to provide.

Carmen recommended the DUTCH test which I took at home. That was easy and once the lab processed the test, she analysed the results and designed a treatment plan aimed at supporting my hormonal health which involves a combination of diet, lifestyle changes and supplements.

Thanks to functional testing and nutritional therapy I've finally been able to understand what has been causing my stomach issues and do something about it. After my initial chat with Carmen I felt confident I was in good hands as she specialises in gut health. I followed her advice and took a stool test in which she identified SIBO in my system.

Since then I've been following the diet and lifestyle plan she made to target my condition and the results have been brilliant. After two months, my symptoms have already improved significantly. I now know what foods to avoid, and what my triggers are. The whole process has been online/from home and has been really simple. I would not hesitate to recommend anyone with digestive issues.

I visited Carmen about 6 months ago for my eczema as I was struggling with severe dry, red, inflamed skin.
During those 6 months Carmen explained the potential root cause of my problem and suggested to run some functional tests. I did a stool test followed by a food sensitivity test as I noticed that I was reacting to certain foods with my skin getting worse again.

The results from stool tests showed that I was low in an immune marker making me more sensitive to infections as well as low in digestive enzyme hence I was not absorbing my food well. This finding was reflected also on my blood test results. Besides, the stool test showed low in commensal bacteria which Carmen explained is a typical scenario seen in patients with eczema. The low diversity of my gut bacteria was contributing to high inflammation and consequently my skin was not healing.

Besides the functional testing, she requested a blood test through my GP. We analysed my blood results and went through everything that was low. Carmen likes to work with food first so I introduced foods rich in vitamins and minerals and more fibre as these lacking in my diet followed by specific supplements to bring those deficiencies back to a normal level and speed up the healing process.

I changed my diet and lifestyle accordingly after the tests results with Carmen’s support. I stopped eating what ever my body was not accepting such as sugar, fast foods and especially gluten.

My skin was on and off to start with. Some days would be better and some days would be bad but I had a strong feeling my gut was healing slowly but surely so I persevered. With time, I started to sleep better and for longer hours, waking up energetic but most importantly my skin would always be clear !

Now 6 months later with hard work, I can finally sleep at nighttime without scratching, I can also see my skin is not longer inflamed. I could not have done this without the help and support of Carmen. All my love to her and what she does for her patients, I cannot recommend her enough ! 🌸💙💜🌸💙💜

A couple of years ago I caught what I thought was a typical cold but when the symptoms persisted for over a month I went to see a doctor who prescribed me antibiotics. A few days later I became so ill I was admitted into hospital where I was diagnosed with a very rare and serious neurological autoimmune condition known as ADEM.

I first started seeing Carmen over 7 years ago. She is professional, knowledgeable, friendly and always very supportive. Carmen was able to convince my then teenage daughter to improve her diet and her health and continues to treat her from time to time.
