I have been a customer of Nutrigold for over 20yrs. I believed them to provide quality supplements and I haven't been disappointed until just last night.
I ordered their Magnesium Powder product because I relished the idea of getting 3 types of magnesium in powder form. I don't like taking too many capsules.
As someone who has a few gut issues, I found I was becoming more constipated. Mg normally has the opposite effect on me.
Last night I looked more carefully at the ingredients and found it contained Maltodextrin as a filler. I was horrified!
Just a little research bought this up -

Maltodextrin can cause several side effects, primarily due to its high glycemic index, which leads to rapid spikes in blood sugar and insulin levels, posing a significant risk for individuals with diabetes or insulin resistance.
This effect can also undermine dietary goals for those following ketogenic, carnivore, or fasting lifestyles, as it can break a fast and trigger carbohydrate cravings.
Gastrointestinal issues are common, including bloating, gas, cramping, diarrhoea, and constipation, particularly in individuals with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) or other digestive disorders.
Maltodextrin may also negatively impact gut health by altering the gut microbiome—suppressing beneficial bacteria while promoting the growth of harmful bacteria such as E. coli and Salmonella, potentially increasing the risk of intestinal inflammation and inflammatory bowel diseases.
Allergic reactions, though rare, can occur, manifesting as skin rashes, itching, swelling, asthma, or difficulty breathing, especially in individuals sensitive to its source (e.g., corn or wheat).
Additionally, maltodextrin contributes to weight gain and obesity due to its high caloric content and lack of nutritional value, offering "empty calories" without vitamins, minerals, or fibre.
It may also impair dental health by feeding harmful oral bacteria, increasing the risk of tooth decay.
While the U.S. FDA classifies maltodextrin as generally recognised as safe (GRAS), its widespread use in processed foods, supplements, and even "sugar-free" products—sometimes disguised as "natural flavors" or "modified food starch"—raises concerns about transparency and consumer awareness.

Nutrigold is supposed to offer 'Quality food supplements', yet they are using Maltodextrin as a filler in powdered Magnesium!!!
So disappointed and a customer lost!

Overpriced.
The product arrived with no instructions at all on how to use it. I later found the same product at half the price on a different website. The discount they gave didn’t work.

The website is easy to use and delivery is quick and efficient. I have always found Nutrigold products to be effective and good value for money, especially because of the quality.

I have used the Cytoplan Sunflower Lecithin powder for a couple of years. Tastes much better than the Soya version, and I have heard that it’s more user friendly, more digestible.
I use it to help digestion of the oils- Olive or Hemp that I also take

Purchasing products from Nutrigold is a good experience. An easy to use website, excellent service and the products are brilliant.

Excellent company and excellent choice of products

Customer for 20 years. Colex (for digestion) and mag complex and their joint pills seem unique on the market. Seems well researched and considered... Ie they won't sell the snake oil and sawdust that a certain high street "health ” store sells.

Could do with a move to greener containers.
