Blah Blah Blah
I haven't gotten anything. NSLS took my money and then waited for me to finish these assinine meetings that were like Alcoholics Anonymous, and then sent something. It was called "induction," but it was more like a hostage situation. I called once about this situation, and the dude on the line was totally rude and unempathetic. He was a jerk. So, that must mean that everyone who works there is a jerk. What am I going to get from this group? I don't know. Probably nothing. Honors societies should, in theory, be free since we are considered SO smart, but this group shows us how stupid and insecure and just how much insecurity we have.

Too many barriers to be a true member.
The final task and initiation events are not very online student friendly. The virtual events are spread out so far that it's hard to attend one and they keep getting cancelled without a reason, so I haven't been able to attend the required tasks to receive my items and become a real member. I paid nearly $70 for a graduation package back in April and had to send an email requesting it be sent to me in August because I couldn't attend any of the events. The pro there is that they sent me the thing I paid for, the con is that I waited nearly 6 months for it. I'm not sure if the "benefits" here really are that helpful, or if they are obstacles to receiving goods that were paid for. I would not recommend NSLS to other students, in fact, I would discourage it.

What made my experience great, is that they push you to do better. I had a tough time doing my snts meeting thing in the beginning and they pushed me to do better knowing I could do it and put my full potential into it instead of just the easy answer.

I had one question about a training…
I had one question about a training section on the website. It took a couple of emails so that I understood what exactly I needed to complete. The staff who were involved with communication, did not address the answer right away. Improvement in this area should be addressed.
Overall commitment is positive with replying back to me. My emails were answered within one day.
