SB = £5000 broker fee vs £500…
Dealt with SB £5000 broker fee (more than 6%) vs £495 lender fee. Be very careful, Left us worse off than ever with a crippling high interest product we cannot get out of.

Never get back to you.. waste of time
Queried about a loan 2 weeks ago had 1 call off callum, said he would get back to me next day never called
Called yesterday was told Lee was looking into it & was waiting for a reply from one more lender.
Called today line engaged for Lee spoke to a lady.
Feel like I've been fobed off with this company
No one gets back to you, you have to chase yourself.
Back to drawing board absoloutey disgusting customer service

Having reviewed your case, your application was submitted on the 30th and progressed as soon as we received your documents on the 3rd. Everything was prepared by the 7th, but unfortunately we weren’t able to reach you to move things forward.
We understand you had concerns about fees and going directly to the lender. As we explained at the time, Pepper only accepts applications via a broker and our fees are clearly outlined from the outset and are only payable upon completion. You're under no obligation to proceed if you're not happy with the options provided.
We appreciate your frustration and are sorry we couldn’t find a solution that suited you on this occasion. If you’d like us to revisit your options, we’d be happy to help.
Not suitable for an individualised referral or assessment of your needs
I was interested in getting a small loan and hoped that Norton finance would look at my financial position and excellent credit score and refer me to some credible and competitive lenders. I was referred to two. Both of which said that they only lend to people with poor credit scores and would lend to me at 35%! I explained that I could go to any bank and get a better rate than that. They stated that they couldn't compete as they ONLY loan to people with credit problems!
So- do not use Norton Finance- they do not treat you as an individual- they merely take your confidential details and share with companies at random. I also noticed that they seem to take a huge financial cut from referring you. I asked for £15,000- but the amount I would get was £14,000- (due to fees- I assume?).

We work with a wide panel of lenders, including specialists in helping customers with complex credit profiles, and an excellent credit score alone doesn’t always guarantee access to the lowest rates. Lenders also consider factors such as affordability, outstanding credit, and other customer circumstances.
We would never share customer details without explicit consent. As a broker, we share information with our panel of lenders to try and find the best deal for a customer’s circumstances. Any fees are only charged upon completion and are clearly outlined in the documents we send and on our website. Customers are under no obligation to accept any recommendation and we pride ourselves on our customer service.

A really efficient and fast service…
A really efficient and fast service with excellent support from Steve. He went out of his way to keep us informed of progress and gave really good guidance. The only downside is the size of the fee, but otherwise I’d happily recommend Norton to others looking for a second charge mortgage.
