What followed was even more frustrating. The customer support interactions felt deliberately exhausting. Agents asked for information they clearly already had on file, responses were evasive, and the explanations offered didn't hold up to even basic scrutiny. It felt less like problem-solving and more like a waiting game designed to wear the customer down.
When a resolution was finally offered (a 10% refund), the process for actually claiming it was baffling. Customers are asked to call in and provide card details verbally over the phone, despite the store having all payment information stored in their system. For a major retailer in 2026, it raises legitimate concerns about data security practices and customer trust.
Throughout the chat interactions, agents made statements that contradicted earlier messages, and conversations were closed abruptly when responses weren't immediate. I've had to initiate a chargeback dispute to recover my funds.
